Lol...wrong. It’s all those fools still sucking at trump’s teat that have definitely never had a basics civics class in school. Of course, he panders to the poorly educated, so it’s to be expected.
Who on here believes anyone, let alone military advisors, can talk Trump out of going forward with something he wants to do? Nobody believes this!! Nobody!!! So why now are you being suckered into this BS? So if he was seriously going in that direction missiles would be in the air blasting Iran! Let's keep it real and not get suckered by another narrative that we are fed! If this was even close I would expect a meeting of the cabinet to immediately invoke the 25th!
Well, I guess Trump looked upon his handiwork and saw that all the critics and world leaders who pleaded with him not betray all of our allies and undermine the Agreed Framework, were proven right. Trump shot himself in the foot and went a long way toward making Iran a nuclear power sooner rather than later. So now, he spitballs the option of starting a war. BTW, the United States has not authority to “let them manufacture” anything. And the US has far less influence now that it undermined its own efforts and divided the allies. If Iran explodes a nuclear weapon any time in the next two or three years, it will be another sorry part of Trump’s loser legacy.
Did China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and Germany also pull out of the treaty? "The meeting took place a day after international inspectors informed United Nations members that Iran had significantly increased its stockpile of nuclear material."
Which would be the more immoral action? To launch a massive strike against the Iranian nuclear programme or to not do it and leave this impending crisis to be dealt with by Biden? Taking on Iran wouldn't be WW3, China or Russia maybe.
There was no crisis before Trump tore up the Iranian nuclear deal. Relations with Iran were on the road to normalization, not only with the US, but also with the European Union and even Israel. The crisis was created by Trump.
Guess it went over your head. The treaty is still in place with those countries. Iran is not honoring it with those 5 countries.
The US has a long history of minding our own business and has never been quick to deploy our military! /sarcasm
No. But the Agreed Framework was an American initiative. One that had a lot of trouble getting off the ground. Mainly because Britain, China, France, Russia, the UK and Germany were reluctant to trust the Americans, given the behavior of John Bolton, who had managed to alienate all of our allies with his noisy, but empty belligerence toward Iran. While the Bush team was trying the same policy Trump adopted, Iran built a huge enrichment apparatus. Once the US was able to get the allies on board with sanctions, it was time to negotiate with Tehran. Trump upended all of that with a casual whim. I’m quite sure that fool was surprised to learn that Iran has restarted its nuclear program in the face of Trump’s belligerence. Faced with the inevitable failure of his attempts to bully Tehran, Trump is alone. He does not have China, the UK, Germany, France, or Russia. None of them will do business with Trump. Trump has attacked and belittled every one of them at one point or another. They all know that Trump’s word is worthless. Whether the Biden Administration will be able to put the pieces of the Agreed Framework back together remains to be seen. But it’s not very likely. I fully expect that Tehran will explode a bomb in the next couple of years. Which is exactly what people told the fool in the White House
From your article Iran seems to be hiding something from the IAEA. In its latest report the IAEA also said that Iran had barred its inspectors from accessing another site where there was evidence of past nuclear activity. At the same time, the Iranian government has continued to allow International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors full access to its nuclear facilities, a key reason the countries that remain parties to the JCPOA say it's worth preserving.
Funny how your obstinate and intolerant devotion to your hyperpartisan opinions and prejudices causes you to translate "considered" and 'asked about" into "wanted to". You should get that fixed.
He can't? Because...? According to the US constitution, who is the Commander in Chief from now until now until 1-20-2021 @ 1159:59?
What option is there if one wants to destroy a nuclear facility other than firing a missile? And it is indeed his advisers who dissuaded him. Where would we be if Trump had made the decision alone? On Thursday the president called a meeting to look at options to attack Iran’s main nuclear site, six days after the US election was called for his rival Joe Biden – a result the billionaire Republican even now refuses to accept. The President, with just two months left in office, asked for options on attacking Iran’s main nuclear site last week but ultimately decided against taking the dramatic step, citing the risk of a broader conflict, a US official said. https://www.euroweeklynews.com/2020...strike-after-election-loss-over-fears-of-war/
Nothing here changes the fact you knowingly and dishonestly changed "look at options" and "considered" and "asked about" into "wanted to". Why do you make statements you know are not true/?
While I completely distrust Trump, I think any president would probably want to go over this option in this situation. It's unfortunate that Trump has been such a horrible president that so many people can rightfully see this as a tantrum being thrown by a toddler to distract (himself and his base) from his election loss. It's also unfortunate that Trump practically created this problem himself by violating our deal with Iran out of nothing more than animosity toward his predecessor.
He's been significantly less of a warmonger than any administration in the last several decades, including, and perhaps especially, the Obama-Biden administration. He's had ample opportunities to bomb the **** out of Iran, and has thus far declined.
