There is a difference between advocating for workers rights and being outright opposed to capitalism. AOC claimed capitalism is irredeemable, that isn't simply advocating. She is a hypocrite.

Conservatives/conformists/Republicans/authoritarians are so funny. They tend to be a little slow in understanding that capitalism is a liberal thing. Adam Smith was a liberal. The wealthiest men in America tend to lean liberal.

How much federal income tax do you think AOC has paid in her life as a dependent, then a student, and finally a waitress?

Hint: she enjoyed far more benefits than she contributed, yet she wants to tell everybody else that profit, capitalism, and the tax generated from that is not enough. She is an entitled little ****. Like most others who tow the progressive agenda.

 

Right now, the cost annually to run the country is just a tad under $14,000 per person. People that enjoy to benefits the USA provides, that don't pay their share of $14,000 need to shut the hell up and be thankful other people are picking up the tab for them. Thats my point, and she is too stupid to understand that.

 

It may be that certain people have an alternative view as to what capitalism is. Central to capital theory is competition. The idea that anyone can compete in a fair marketplace. What has gone wrong is that the US, and especially the conservative side have gone corporatist. Instead of going into the store and seeing a hundred different shampoos made by a hundred different companies I see a hundred different shampoos made by four companies. It used to be that every station on the radio dial had a separate owner, now a couple of large corporations own them all.

Why should a few mega corporations be allowed to control all the commerce in America? Why should we be beholden to those who run and profit off of that consolidation.

If the laws were such that any company whose profits exceed say ten billion in a year should be spit in two, there would be more competition and more freedoms.
