I never voted for him or cared about his presidency. I also respect that you opposed his presidency but in fact condemnation of other americans for their political views IS what is wrong with the progressives of this country.

This particular socialist said "capitalism is irredeemable." She ought not participate in a system she feels is so unjust. She should lead by example. Most politicians are hypocrites, she has just elevated it to an art form.

Would you follow her example if she somehow was able to survive in America dodging every thing capitalist? No. So what would be the point in leading by that example. Look she hates capitalism but must swallow that hard pill of reality that capitalism is necessary for her to push what ever agenda she was voted into office for. That not hypocrisy ok. Thats life.

The Mothers of MADD were hypocrites, most republicans that push policy against social views are hypocrites, AOC pushing socialism in a capitalist country is pushing socialism in a capitalist country. You can have both in that regard as demonstrated. Who lied to you and said you couldn't?

 

My source is the actual words that came out of her mouth at SXSW in 2019. These trendy socialists love to rail against CEOs and "corporate greed," claiming, as the estimable and honorable junior congresswoman Mdme. Cortez, "the workers create all the wealth, not the CEOs," or my favorite from President 44, "you didn't build that!" What they ignore, either out of ignorance or convenience, is capital risk. Somebody has to risk capital -- that is their own actual real money -- to build that factory or that software company or that chain store or that fast food outlet in which these workers exchange their labor for remuneration. Without that capital risk, THERE IS NO NEED FOR LABOR. Hence, your $15/hr. job becomes $0/hr.. Well, heck what on earth could ever motivate somebody to risk their very own real money so that others can have a $15/hr. job... There must be some incentive? Having a hard time putting my finger on it... any guesses?

 

She immediately clarified what she meant. Go and read what she said. She's never advocated abolishing capitalism and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise.

In all the negotiations and threats North Korea could do nothing about the US military threat off their border. All it took was to flatter the Trump and it stepped aside.

The average DPRK laborer in the socialist paradise has to work TEN MONTHS just to afford the shoes... assuming they don't eat, travel, buy a sundrie, and wipe their ass with their bare hands. . Maybe you do not understand capitalism. The most liberal people in the country are also the most productive. The problem that you are having is that your source of information is faulty. Adam Smith was a liberal as was Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and Steve Jobs. The technology that created modernity came almost entirely from liberals. The care for the underclasses has always been a concern of liberals.
