Let’s also include that someone had already tried to kidnap a governor he didn’t like....
And that everyone knew his supporters were talking about civil war and a violent uprising.
Nothing on the 6th was a surprise to trump. It was the entire reason for the rally!

I said it 2 years ago.

We are going to live in a very democrat future, its to easy to sell what they are selling and most people are ignorant surface level thinkers and simply fall for it without thinking.

But people dont like being controlled to the degree dems want to. It wont last

They were rather obviously committing crimes. Why would he add "I love you?" Well, he said the same thing to the dictator of North Korea didn't he?

    You aren't wrong.

But regardless of what you call it, they use it effectively. And most are, and will remain, to stupid to see it.

However, what can be relied on is how fickle people are. They will turn on dems just as soon as they feel they are the ones under attack.

And once that happens, their time will be over.

He will remain in office his entire 4 years, despite the irrational impeachment.

Mind you, a disingenuous "I love you" by the cheating husband, who is already eying the next affair. Two things Trump could do is concede and apologize. Those will happen when hell freezes over.

Next time, come up with a better messenger - for God's sake, Trump hired Omorosa and The Mooch to help run the government
    - how seriously did you think he was going to be taken?

It could happen and Mitch is apparently now saying it might. If not, we can wait for criminal indictments AFTER he leaves office. Impeachment is a political process. On January 20th, he no longer has the protection of the Presidency.

I've been asking from the get go and no one can cite it. It's not even in the Articles that are being voted on.

So any politician who tells their constituents to fight for what they believe in should be charged with inciting insurrection? What he said was do so peacefully and patriotically is that impeachable?

And go down as the only president impeached twice and only one with a bipartisan conviction vote

It’s clear he knew what would happen and was hoping it would, but I doubt there is enough proof for criminal charges. More than enough to impeach though.

I suspect there will be considerably more evidence presented at his trial (or even when he's indicted). His speech was preceded by other speeches. Rudy even called for "combative action." The President didn't refute the others. The President didn't send federal law enforcement to the Capitol to arrest those committing crimes. Since then, he's supposedly both admitted he bears partial responsibility (to McCarthy) and denied any responsibility (on his Texas trip). He needs to be brought before the Senate next week to testify, under oath, at his Senate impeachment trial. Or, just wait and arrest him after he leaves office. Impeachment is a political act, not a judicial one.

Your opinion of when he should've done things is irrelevant.

You clearly can't defend this impeachment. You say 'crimes were committed' but can't point to a single one.....so...yea, move on.

Mitch said today it won't happen! Just now.

Spend the next 4 years prosecuting Donald Trump. Waste more tax payers money and waste time doing nothing for Americans. The way of the Democrats! Typical!!

How is there 'more than enough to impeach' when nobody can produce what he did that's impeachable? How many times does it have to be asked in this thread before you'll admit this is a witchhunt?

I don't think that was the emphasized part of his speech. It was more in line with Rudy's "combative remark." I suspect there was a plot to overthrow the government. Just as it was the Russians who helped him in 2016. The task will be to ensure him a "fair trial."

Most of us can walk and chew gum at the same time. IMO, the investigation will bring out more evidence against him. Mitch? He's largely irrelevant. And, who knows what he'll same tomorrow?

Wow, the House of Representatives is moving faster with impeachment than I thought! It still has to go through the Senate though, right? But, way to go, Pelosi.
