He was not impeached for Sedition did not even mention it. And again where are the witnesses who said Trump told them to engage in violence and sedition.

Once again, you are Dead WRONG.

How many times do I have to post this?

You either understand the implications of the following (or you don't).
Beyond that, it is out of my hands.
One either gets it, or they don't
    Best of luck.

Here we go, one last time, listen closely:

Everybody KNOWS (and who has actually researched the matter is aware)--That The Constitution does NOT expressly prevent such an Impeachment:

But this may not be an obstacle to starting the process. The Constitution is silent on the question of whether a Senate trial can be held after a president has left office. The 1876 impeachment of War Secretary William Belknap for graft after he left office may serve as precedent.

    https://theconversation.com/impeach...ally-risky-act-heres-how-it-could-work-152965

Also, the Clause that refers to the Chief Justice has (absolutely) nothing to do with the TIMELINE of the Impeachment.

It only lays out the duties of the Chief Justjce (in circumstances where the President is on trial).

Glad to clear that up for you.
    ___________

Feel free to take the last word.
I have explained the situation, several times.

And, (as everyone at PF is well aware) I have never been a fan of getting into extended back-and-forths "debating" whether "1+1=2".

One either gets it, or they don't.
    Carry on:salute:

Its not about harris, its about trump. Its not about clinton or obama or mickey friggin mouse. Its about trump and his incitement to insurrection.

Are you ever going to get around to addressing the issue of Trump's craven criminal behavior or is are you just going to whine about everybody else while screaming hypocrisy. Try addressing the issue not thru a partisan lens but thru and Partiotic American lens - one that focuses on the VALUES of the nation, not its bullshit politics. Can you elevate your game to a place where the country comes first? Then evaluate the words and actions of your Dear Leader.

On and On and ON with the same lameness. "Where did he say he wanted everybody to commit a crime". This simplistic notion that a precise call to action is necessary to be guilty of anything demonstrates a truly grade school understanding. Probably why it plays so well in trumpland.

No they don't. They merely needed to collect enough evidence to satisfy themselves that an impeachable crime had been committed. Its up to the Senate to conduct the trial. Its a political process. You don't seem able to wrap your mind around this. Congress is not a court of law.
and they have all the evidence they need on video. Lots and lots of video, including all kinds of insurrectionists posting comments about being there to support our president, Im' here because the president told me, and the like. Its all there in plain friggin sight.

so keep spinning your fantasy denial. Gotta say its truly trumpian. You have learned well grasshopper.

You know how there was nothing impeachable in that speech? Yeah well I hate to break it to ya but ........

You know how Dear Leader invited everyone to come on down on Jan6 to Save America claiming it was "going to be wild"? There is one helluva lot of evidence you don't appear to understand is evidence. how typical

Well I'm going to go with the consensus legal opinon of constitutional lawyers who think its constitutional. I understand the terms and the process having In f

Seems those being arrested are using the defense that they were "invited by the President" to be there. You know the Qanon Shaman? Seems he was there because the commander in chief wanted him there.

Surely they knew he didn't mean it. Its all just one of those legal defenses, yeah that's it.

Does that stuff count as evidence trump incited them? Or is there some constitutional clause excluding such evidence in an impeachment trial for insurrection?

No. The New York times is not lying. They said Trump screwed it up and they are correct.
But the vaccine can be stored for 6 months in the super freezers.
But alas the CDC said don't buy them.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has advised state health departments against purchasing ultra-cold freezers — which cost $10,000 to $15,000 each — saying other vaccines with less demanding storage requirements will be available soon. Hospitals with money to spare are flouting this guidance. Four major health care systems, from North Carolina to Ohio, North Dakota, and California, told STAT they had bought additional ultra-cold freezers, while Jefferson Health in Philadelphia said it has leased five units.

    Thus my comment about Trump.

But having said that. There is no excuse for the vaccine to go bad.

Biden's plan (also now Trump's plan) does not require the second dose be held in reserve.

Rural hospitals can't afford freezers to store a Covid-19 vaccine - STAT (statnews.com)

    Good question.

If all Trump had to do was tell his followers to leave the Capitol - and we see they dispersed after his tweets and video - then why
did he not immediately start that action on seeing the march getting out of hand? That may be the most damning revelation
    of all.

The number one Constitutional rule of the impeachment trail powers of the Senate is that the Senate has SOLE power over that process.

If the Senate decides it is their duty to finish an impeachment trail that has already passed the House vote - then it is their
    SOLE discretion to do so.

Just because it has not been done so far does not limit their power to do so now.

    incitement of insurrection”

Sedition is a serious felony punishable by fines and up to 20 years in prison and it refers to the act of inciting revolt or violence against a lawful authority with the goal of destroying or overthrowing it.

    in·sur·rec·tion

    noun
    1. a violent uprising against an authority or government.

Lock him up. Forget about impeachment.

Again, it is poetic justice that the worst blow to the Trump legacy doesn't come from the left - it came from his own
supporters. That has to gall Trump more than anything else. Financially, the Trump brand is now worth very
little. His bankers have abandoned him. His ties with the PGA have been cut. The City of Palm Beach is trying
to revoke the status of Mar-a-Lago. The private island in Miami that Ivanka and Jared wanted to move to has
let them know they are no longer welcome. Donald Jr. is being subpoenaed in NY. Trump's Golf Property in Scotland
is in the red. And Dominion is waiting to serve him with a $1.3 Billion dollar defamation lawsuit as soon as he leaves office.

This is going to be one hell of a post-White House soap opera ... and there is still the Melania question, and just what
the NY District Attorney office has planned for him.

Sorry, I just realized you are oblivious to the illogic pattern of trumpian defense. Did you miss trump claiming he won in a landslide? Did you miss him claiming massive deep state voter fraud? Did you miss all those emails asking for money to #stop the steal?

See the bullshit claims set up the grift. So how much did you give to Donnie to stop the steal?

Hmmm... I'm a little disappointed. Nancy not only didn't send the Article to the Senate Wed. night or yesterday.... Now she's not committing to sending it at all...

I completely understood the delay last time, but I'm not seeing it this time...

    SNIP
Pelosi has a few days of wiggle room to make her decision. The Senate, which is currently on recess, cannot accept the article until it is back in session, currently scheduled for Tuesday.
    ENDSNIP

    https://thehill.com/homenews/house/...house-will-send-impeachment-article-to-senate

Nobody's home to answer the door?? I don't read that the Senate cannot accept the article until it's back in session.... I understand they cannot hold a trial until then...

Cite the incitement, his exact words because it has to be a direct explicit statement. Where did they cite this in the Articles of Impeachment? And something the left is not addressing, the people who stormed the capital did not do so to "overthrow" the government but to "take it back".

She could deliver it to the Clerk Manager of the Senate, I forget the exact title, who would hold it until the Senate is back in session. And of course once delivered the Senate can conduct no other business until the trial is concluded.
Way to go Dems on destroying your incoming President first 100 days with this nonsense for you obsession with vengeance and retribution for Trump having beat Clinton.

Nope, they are required to stop all other business and remain in continuous session over the trail until it is concluded. Once it is delivered there goes Biden's first 100 days and he said yesterday he supports it.

We're talking NOW not later and the problem isn't with how many does Warp Speed sent to the states it is how the STATES are distributing and the limiting to very small groups. Yes thanks to Trump's Warp Speed even more vaccines are about to be released and some without the storage requirements. Biden should be sending Trump a new set of golf clubs showing his gratitude.

The longer it takes before the trial begins, the more evidence is revealed and so far its only getting worse for Donnie and the perps. Meanwhile Trump can sit and stew for a time, since he become irrelevant on the 20th. Meawhile Biden et.al. can get on with fighting the pandemic, the looming economic catastrophe, addressing the myriad national security concerns and cleaning up the crap left behind an administration that completely lost interest in governing over the past few months.

No need for exact words. It's intent that is importent. Mob boss don't have to use precise word to get you killed and still be guilty of the act.

So you think his intent was for some radicals to get destructive even though his words said the exact opposite?
