So why are the Democrats in the Senate engage in a criminal proceeding to legally sanction a private citizen? There is NO constitutional provision for the Senate to try and then sanction a private citizen.

Anything short of 67 is an acquittal.

I understand the process, but gee thanks for the pompous "schooling." I'm talking about good reasons to continue with the process, since the House has already impeached, one of them being to ensure that Trump never again holds public office. And it isn't just because he's Trump ... I would have the same opinion about any president who incited a violent riot.

Fake News. He didn't incite a violent riot. That is why the Senate will acquit him of the Dems false charge against him.

The Senate vote that fails to convict fully and completely exonerates him.

There is zero movement because there is no fraud to eliminate other than a tiny percentage who try to cheat by casting a dead relative's ballot, or a one-time administration error ... events that happen in every election. There has never been a 100% secure election and there never will be.

    https://www.heritage.org/voterfraud

The only incidence of an attempt at voter fraud on a large scale in a national election was perpetrated by Republicans in a House rep election in 2018. They got caught.

I'm not going to rebut a hypothesis unless you provide proof that Democrats are attempting what you are claiming. On the contrary, I challenge you to provide proof of fraud that can be corrected by some means that isn't already being used.

Oh, sorry, my bad. You were azking me to do your homework for you. Here:

    https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2383

As for what group or individuals brought this charge to the House -- I don't care, so you'll have to do that homework yourself.

Any is too much. 0.01 is very small amount but in the last election it's over a 1.5 million votes and we had many many elections decided by 0.01 of that.

Every illegal vote steals a legal vote and even one stolen vote is way too many.

Here was the task but before you:
You post contained nothing rebutting i). Point i) stands proudly in majestic unmarred splendor. You guys fool no one.

A few Constitutional law experts, as well as several attorneys, have clearly stated that his words do NOT rise to such a charge. The fact that you disagree with them doesn't change that at all. If he committed a criminal act then, by all means, indict and present your case. The fact that they won't do this tells me they fear discovery.

Rand Paul called for a floor vote on the issue and the result was that only 5 Republicans were willing to even hear the "evidence". Then some old sage here quipped cheerfully about the vote being 55-45 as though that mattered in some way. They really are a sick, pathetic lot and they'll keep slinging slanders and assaults as long as they can because they FEAR Trump. They should fear him. He's the first person in the modern era who has a chance of fielding a viable 3rd party or turning the Republican party into a true nationalist entity.

In a criminal trial, anything less than all twelve is an acquittal. In the Senate you don't a 100 of 100 to convict, but you do need 2/3 a lower standard for the prosecution to meet, and they won't even come close to even meeting that, although if Trump was actually guilty of inciting an insurrection they would probably get close to a hundred. But, he's simply not guilty of the charges.

    They know it,
    We know it,
    The American People know it.

He hasn't been guilty of any of the crimes the Left has accused him of being guilty of. That's why they can't make any of their charges stick. They are all false charges.

THE CHIEF JUSTICE PRESIDES WHEN YOU’RE IMPEACHING A PRESIDENT. YOU’RE NOT IMPEACHING A PRESIDENT, BUT A PRIVATE CITIZEN, WHICH IS ILLEGAL. Senate Dems Wonder: Say, Where Is John Roberts In This Impeachment Trial, Anyway?

Poll Shows Impeachment Backlash Hitting Cheney.

73 percent of Republican voters and 62 percent of all voters in Wyoming expressed an unfavorable view of the Turn-coat Back-stabbing three-term congresswoman. Just 10 percent of Republican primary voters and 13 percent of general election voters said they would vote to reelect her. Cheney is now a profoundly weak target in a Republican primary. The Back-stabbing, Turn-coat congress member trails 54 percent to 21 percent in a head-to-head matchup against one of her announced opponents, state Sen. Anthony Bouchard.
Endorsing an unfounded and unconstitutional political impeachment is a bad look.

The Cheney's and the Bush's are pissed off that Trump told the truth about the Iraq war.

0.01 is one percent. The total number of fraud attempts is not that high. In 2016 and 2020, it was about 0.0025% for mail-in ballots, which in 2020, with the vote count of 155,506,056 would have come to about 3,888 votes.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...78aa26-a5c5-11ea-bb20-ebf0921f3bbd_story.html

Even if I spot you double that number for 2020, it isn't enough, nationwide, to change the results.

Massive mail-in voter rraud is a myth.

    "
Americans are more likely to be struck by lightning than commit election fraud."

    https://www.brookings.edu/blog/fixg...-states-show-the-benefits-outweigh-the-risks/

"The Heritage Foundation, a right-wing think tank, has been studying voter fraud for years in order to provide support for more restrictive voting laws such as voter ID. The most recent report has an attention-grabbing headline: “Database Swells to 1,285 Proven Cases of Voter Fraud in America.”

Here is the Heritage Foundation's database:

    https://www.heritage.org/voterfraud

Biden won fairly. Trump lost. Get over it.

As to your item i), I would need to know the who, the what, and the when, and since you haven't provided me with any evidence that the Democtatic Party has ever attempted voter fraud, no one can answer your question. Context matters.

I'm well aware that prosecution would be difficult, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't try.

"... Trump’s rhetoric was still grounds for impeachment by Congress, considering his position as an elected official."

Impeachment is not a criminal court process. The rules of evidence are different, and they can't put Trump in jail or assess a fine via impeachment.

Congress impeaches, the Dept of Justice indicts. The latter is very unlikely, but a president who whips a mob into a frenzy, regardless of whether or not he planned for that mob to do violence, should be held accountable in some way for the results brought about by those who are now overwhelming telling law enforcement that they did it for Trump.

If you have something to say you believe refutes what I posted then say it...................until then what I said still stands.

A CRIMINAL referral was presented to Congress by Judge Starr with the SPECIFIC crimes in DETAIL and the supporting evidence. What criminal referral and what evidence was presented here in this impeachment based on an alleged criminal act?

An impeachment without cause is like a burger without beef, it's just a nothing burger; a fool's folly.

    Fake News.
    1) There is no "nationwide" vote. Candidates run within States and districts.
    2) The 'not enough to change the results" dismissiveness doesn't hold water. With computers and delayed counting, they can minimize the amount of cheating to just the amount needed to change the outcome. Take an election decided by 50 votes. You are fine with 49 stolen votes but outraged at 51? Your argument is a red herring. Even One Stolen Vote is too many.
You get over it. This isn't about Trump, it's about us.

And once again you dodge the following, and we all know why:
You have repeatedly dodged because i) accurately predicts the Left's obstruction on voting integrity.
