It looks like after 50 claims over 8 months that evidence is being released next week they would figure out they are being lied to.

 

At this point, any proof would strain the scientific method to its most basic, that is; proof is for alcohol and mathematics. We're at the point where you say "gravity is just a theory" and claim you have evidence it is false. All I can do is continue to drop objects and observe their behavior. Only when you come and demonstrate how a dropped ball floats in the air can anything be evidenced.

A simple fact of life is that we have to trust somebody. Trusting people based on the letter after their name is a fool's choice. Trusting only one man, with everything, is delusional.

Another simple fact of life is that everybody isn't lying. When 100 witnesses see a crime occur, "fake news" is not a defense. Not for rational people, anyway.

It gets more complicated when 100 witnesses say something is a certain way, and 50 other witnesses say it is not.

Especially when it is not a fact so easy to prove or disprove and is open to a lot of interpretation.

Throw on a politically-charged topic and it gets far more complicated to determine the truth. At least when it's a neutral topic the witnesses don't have reason for bias or lying.
