Well consider how those 5000 came to be prisoners in the first place. Trump era actions reduced the Taliban from some 210,000+ force size in the Obama era to around 65-75,000. We gave some back, personally I think they should have been killed since they're savage terrorist scum but that's just now how the world worlds (plus liberals would have gone insane). But regardless if everything Trump had done was so bad then why did the Biden Administration take no corrective action these last 9 months? We were told just how brilliant and capable Biden was in matters like this so either that was a massive lie or someone in his ranks wanted this to happen.

Essentially this, the buck stops with the commander in chief. He's supposed to observe situations and make judgment calls and those calls can even be wrong, but here's the key: When they are wrong, owe up to it, make a commitment to fixing the mistakes and plugging the hole ASAP. That's not what he did, that's not even what VP Harris did.

What they did, was akin to Trump's leadership on the coronavirus issue: They ran away instead of confronting. What we need to do in 2024 is regardless of whose party it comes from, we need to find someone who's willing to confront issues head on, and isn't afraid of taking it on the chin.

What??? Trump was on it from the get-go, implemented travel safeguards and restrictions at the same time that prominent Democrats were telling everyone to attend parades and street fairs. As well, Fauci himself said that Trump implemented EVERY one of his recommendations. So where do you come up with your conclusion that Trump "ran" from the Covid crisis? Or are you just trying to play both sides of the fence?
