NATO is a sad joke and we should get out. It benefits the Europeans but not us.

What IS this damned obsession with 5,000 Taliban prisoners being released? Like a bunch of Islamic fundamentalists who gladly blow themselves and anyone near by up are gonna be deterred by the fate of captured, like minded individuals to whom death while on the Jihad is a first class ticket to a virgin filled paradise? Oh yeah, we could have used those prisoners to force the Taliban to bow to our will, LOL.

Playing both sides really, although the Woodward tapes were damning, showing the administrative response early on was slow and somewhat inadequate although not to the extremes that the left makes it.

Trump did that. FFS it has been shown in his own plan that the armaments were to be left for the afghani army. You keep making things up to fit your own political agenda and you keep getting schooled.

So who would you prefer to take over if we aren't the ones defending freedom and liberty? You don't think such a vacuum in geopolitics would remain empty do you?

If not us then who? And let's not forget it was Trump who go the other NATO nations to start filling their responsibilities.

BTW Afghanistan is a NATO operation.

I do admire you naivety, but to think that is what we are doing is sort of been blown out of the water long ago.

    The world would fill it.

If not us? How about the EU, how about NATO, how about anyone but us....we had our turn, we literally cannot afford to keep doing it.

Trump did not get NATO do do ****, why do you fall for his lies so easily?

Well, where the **** are they? If it is a NATO operation then then can fill in the 2500 troops we are pulling out and run the country for the next 20 years....we have done enough

The only one getting schooled here is you, the objective fact is reckless racist biden armed the taliban. No matter how yuo wanna spin it, its on him. HE did it, now the blood they spill is on his hands. He pulled out recklessly, with no plan and it is showing. He is a fool, the worst president we have ever had.

The buck stops with him, even as he tries to deflect.

I'm a firm believer that the globalist powers which have control over this President were all too happy to let his incompetence put us into this situation. The cries for a mass 'refugee' relocation effort grow louder every day and we know with that means two things; Western replacement and mass hundreds of billions in funding for globalist organizations.

Cut and Run Coward Biden has shown the US to be an untrustworthy NATO ally and leader.

    AFGHANISTAN AS FOREIGN POLICY DISASTER
    [IMG]
"British leaders continue to blast Joe Biden for his incompetent conduct of the withdrawal from Afghanistan. Ministers warn that Britain will have to tear up its foreign policy after the debacle in Afghanistan, amid flaring tempers about America’s decision to cut and run. Tony Blair branded Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw “imbecilic”, while cabinet insiders suggested the president was “gaga” and “doolally” for withdrawing so fast."

    Doolally = "lost mind."

GB has been a solid ally for over a century.
Biden's abrupt withdrawal without informing the UK is being nicely termed as "isolationism". Clearly Biden does not view NATO as a cooperative agreement.
They are right. Biden has single-handedly blown up the Free World Alliance, which prior to Biden was the most powerful alliance in the history of humankind. Maybe NATO leaders should have bought more of Hunter's "art".
I can't blame them, our CIC is completely unfit to lead.

This reminds all of what Henry Kissinger said of Jimmy Carter at the time:
This may prove to be even worse.

There is over 38,000,000 people in Afghanistan. If they can't defeat a few thousand Taliban, that is so sad, too bad.

I've seen this so often I decided to do a search to see if it was just my impression or if it was you, and no...it's you. You've mentioned the 5000 Taliban 50 times in posts just since Monday! But in spite of so many mentions, you have not explained what the significance of them are. We usually release prisoners until the end of a conflict, are you saying we should have kept them and sent them to Gitmo indefinitely? Should we have simply shot them? What would the wise, experienced, and competent Saint Joseph of Biden had done with them if he had the opportunity? I'm curious about this because it otherwise makes no sense. Particularly since I suspect you want the Gitmo prisoners released.

and yet the right still tries to ignore it, fact is, it happened, and that is all on Trump

Trump should not of released these 5000 Taliban fighters until our people were home safe and sound

So you do believe those 5000 Taliban should have been freed at some point?

OK then your mentions of these 5000 Taliban 50 times were simply to make a political point, which is, "Because Trump."

I think I got it now.

How did Trump do this? Are you actually claiming Trump is responsible for leaving 10,000 or more Americans in Afghanistan?
