In order to be of considered as " Afro-Jamaican " one has to have
predominently or partial Sub-Saharan African descent as lineage.
A person cannot be considered Austrian just because they grew-up
near Germany.Austria had this conflict being reduced to a Rump State
around the time of the end of WWI { 1918 }.The Third Reich pulled a fast
one in 1938 by annexing what was left of Austria and considered as
    Germany.Due to Nazism and it's fall Austrians { known for great composers }
decided to create their own seperate and distinct national identity.
Today, the vast majority of Austrians do not identify as German.
Today ,the American left is also pulling fast ones almost yearly.
BLM is a Narrative not a reality. It's use is almost entirely political.
As was Biden's decision to quickly vacate Afghanistan.
Covid 19 was also Political.Thereby explained cursedly by Jane Fonda
as " God's gift to the Left ".

As you read this up to 40k Americans are trapped in Kabul and the Taliban has control of everything including the rest of the country.

The admin directly contradicts itself daily, today saying no Americans are being prevented from getting to the airport as the DNI says the opposite and the media has multiple accounts and interviews.

The admin said today they can't meet the Aug 31 Taliban imposed deadline.

Even an attempt to use US civilian airliners would take a month to mobilize because of required maintenance and crew training.

The airlifts from the military are 90 percent Afghans, not Americans.

The military won't leave the airport perimeter.

There is a limited presence of 82nd airborne, who train to capture and hold airports....however they are surrounded by a ring of civilians.

And our "President" is in hiding with the VP cackling in Vietnam like a psychopath.

    These are.very, very dark times.

Today Italy accepted hundreds of Afghan refugees. We are not alone in this.

    No, it won't be millions.

And there is no solution for the leadership vacuum. If Biden resigns, Harris is President. If she resigns too (highly unlikely) then it's Pelosi.

Both Harris and Pelosi in my opinion are worse than Biden.

I've been asking for Biden's resignation but actually it's not a solution. Just, I'd like to see some accountability for this fiasco.

America may very well have been left with nothing but bad choices in 2020(just like 2016) if limited to the two party structure(these last two election cycles were a perfect opportunity for America to go Third Party and really shake up the system.) It needs to be a citizen-by-citizen commitment that Washington DC, as it exists now, does not serve the American People.

If however we couldn't/wouldn't, what real time results are showing us, is we should've treated Trump as Dubya(IE: Bush served two terms.). If a bad president is in office, he should hold the totality of his bad decisions, and then from the bottom we can rebuild.

Of course, perhaps Kerry would've been a better POTUS but we'll never know. I think this example of Biden shows we'd be better off letting the bad POTUS carry the bag for his/her bad policies. Because the sudden flip creates a demand on the newly inaugurated POTUS that he/she might not be able to fix.

We can certainly see Biden is not up to the task, the amount of excuses and deflections we see here daily, tells us that. no real accomplishments to speak of.

I don't understand. So you think that the solution for having elected a bad president, is to re-elect him???

There is nothing unusual about America pulling out of Afghanistan. It has been done numerous times around the world since 1776. Remember when the Union pulled out of the South after the Civil War and how the KKK terrorists took over and made Jim Crow the law of the land? Its what America does so there is no need to blow a gasket. It'll happen again.

Yeah I hear people (who seem eager to lose) make such statements.

In clinical reasoning, one rule is never overlook a real problem for a hypothetical one.

Its true that secondary choice may such, but the current option absolutely does such.

On top of that these politicians NEED to know their actions will be met with a reaction.

Letting them hide behind an order of succession means that will never happen.

The dems impeached Trump multiple times and at no point did they say "let's stop because Pence will be worse".

    Make them accountable.

And I say this as a Californian who is voting out Newsome.

It's like most people when they make a mistake: It's your bed, lie in it. If you know you messed up, you should also be able to figure out how to fix it. I just think our turmoil of one POTUS to the next has always been a weakness of the American political structure, but not made so evident as it is right now.

One shouldn't reward bad performance with an extended term in office, hoping that the inept guy will then fix things. Sorry, AmericanNationalist; you usually make sense, but this time you aren't making any.

It's not really rewarding bad performance, as much as it is: We don't know if the alternative is any better(See: what we're currently living through.). The idea of "well, it could be better or worse but there's no way we can stay with this guy(or girl)" put us in this mess. I'd rather give the incumbent the chance to clean up his mess, rather than toss the mess to another person and hope that person does a better job than the last guy.

    You beat me to it.

That sort of "rationale" is beyond counter-intuitive.

    "HEY! I've Got an Idea!"
"Let's Re-Elect the Guy who just spent 4 years screwing up the country, so that he can screw up the country for Another 4 Years!"

Well, it was an attempt, that maybe changing the leader would make things better. It turns out that it doesn't look like the new guy is making things that much better so I guess if his performance doesn't improve, next time we'll vote him out too. At least we got rid of the previous guy who was a full-blown disaster.

I just hope we had a different system for the primaries. They seem designed to select the worst possible candidate given that they usually try to align with the most radical elements among the voters, because those are the ones most motivated to go vote in a primary. It is impressive how in the initial roster of candidates there are always some good person, some governor with executive experience who is respected and beloved by his constituents, who has good common sense and the ability to be pragmatic and work across party lines, who has all the hallmarks of the potential for being a very good president... but then in the primaries that nice and competent guy gets 2% of the votes and drops out, and the selected person is some sort of horrible extremist or at least someone who bows to the extremists.

We had in 2016 a choice between two horrible candidates, Trump and Clinton. We had in 2020 a choice between two horrible candidates, Trump and Biden. It looks like we'll have in 2024 a choice between two horrible candidates, Harris and Trump. God help us.

I think we should move to a parliamentary system with the president being just the ceremonial head of state (the guy who goes chat with Queen Elizabeth but doesn't call any of the shots) and the prime minister being the chief executive, because if then the prime minister screws up he can be quickly replaced. If we had a true multi-party system instead of one on paper but with only two parties that have any chance of placing a candidate in the Oval Office, the prime minister would have to exercise words such as compromise and coalition, and maybe the political divide would lessen and our country would move forward again.

I'm fully aware that it sadly will never happen, so we'll have to continue to put up with horrible presidents who have all the power to screw up and won't be removed until the end of their terms (impeachment + Senate conviction being virtually impossible in today's America due to the need for two thirds of the Senate to convict and remove from office).

If we can't have a parliamentary system, then at least we should reform the primaries.

Maybe we should have ONE national voting day for the primaries with no separate state closed or open primaries or caucuses or delegates or superdelegates. So, a voter would have to choose one party to participate in that party's primary. We'd all vote. Then if nobody got 50% of the votes we'd have a second round with the two most voted candidates (or we'd have ranked voting). The winner would be that party's candidate. In a system like this, the radicals would have a smaller space, and maybe we'd actually select some good presidential candidates.

    I finally figured this out
I had thought Joe picked her because of race and gender but now I see the real reason.
Compared to his horrible speech skills, they don’t seem as bad after a harris speech

So you solution is to get rid of the Untied States of America and form some new country/government? How about we do this, "we" being YOUR STATE, get rid of primary elections and go back to the PARTIES choosing their candidates first at state conventions and then at the national convention. Please keep in mind the STATES choose the President, a fundamental principle of our government many do not understand or were never taught. There is no require and you have no right to vote for the President or even the electors of your state, you only do so because they grant you permission to do so. If you want be a part of whatever party you support choosing it's candidate JOIN THE PARTY work your way up into a position where you are given a vote in the process.

To your opening line I would retort, how could things be possibly worse and what do we do for the next three years?

Let's hope the Republicans can win back the House and the Senate and impeach them both then see if the Democrats in the Senate can put country ahead of politics.

Harris is a walking nightmare. From her being that little girl, to plagiarizing MLK by saying she wanted fwee dom when she was three, to her fond memories of kwanza. She’s incapable of telling the truth, but that’s what makes her a democrat.

    Totally.

Have your "sources" given you any new Copypasta (or Memes) about Biden's thought processes in appointing Harris' Successor?

Since Harris' Resignation is imminent (and it would be a miracle if she survived the week), who is on the Short List to be appointed VP via the provisions of the 25A?

    Any insight?
Please report back, and thx in advance.:salute:
