    STAT'S EXCEL-TABLE:

The month of September 2021 saw concrete signs of the ebbing of the Delta-Variant.

    Ye Olde Tracking Tree:

In February, I developed the tracking tree (based on the idea of an ancestral family tree design). Here is how the tracking tree looks right now:

The tracking tree is a good way to get a quick and reliable overview of the situation at hand without getting all down in the weeds with too much numerical minutae. It's also an excellent way to determine if your eyes are good or if perhaps a visit to and opthamologist of your choice would be a good thing to do.... :)

    The 4-Rubriks Worksheet:
here the last two days of September, 2021

The first three weeks can be found with each weekly concise analysis (7th, 14th and 21st of each month).

The top 50 nations (all in my current tracking) within the worldwide figures:

Here the screenshots of the excel tables for 50 top nations nations alongside the worldwide figures today can be found in the pre-analysis reports:

Also, an extra, unscheduled USA analysis:

WORLDWIDE TOTAL C19 CASES (2 of 7 screenshots from WorldOMeter):
    2021-09-030 COVID-19 Worldwide WorldOMeter 001 - total cases.png

The remaining 5 screenshots are at the overflow link at the top of the analysis.

Always searching to build a better and quicker mousetrap and knowing that the top 50 nations I am tracking on a daily basis account for at least 90% of the Covid-19 activity across the world, I've took the USA monthly excel table I've been using for a while and adapted it vis-a-vis worldwide stats for the top 50 nations being tracked, in 3 major rubriks (cases, deaths, tests) that can be sorted a number of ways and therefore eliminates the need for so many other WorldOMeter screenshots.

WORLDWIDE TOTAL C19 CASES, DEATHS and TESTS (top 50):

Here we can see that at the end of this month in 2021, the top 50 nations accounted for at least 92.00% of most everything.
    2021-09-030 COVID-19 Worldwide 001 (top 50) - total cases and deaths.png
    2021-09-030 COVID-19 Worldwide 002 (top 50) - total cases and deaths.png

    2021-09-030 COVID-19 Worldwide 003 (top 50) - total tests.png
    2021-09-030 COVID-19 Worldwide 004 (top 50) - total tests.png
Sorted three times in the same table can be good for your eyes. We can see that the top 5 in total cases is not necessarily the same top 5 in total deaths or total tests.

    WORLDWIDE TOTAL C19 +CASES, +DEATHS and +TESTS (top 50):

    2021-09-030 COVID-19 Worldwide 007 (top 50) - plus cases and deaths.png
    2021-09-030 COVID-19 Worldwide 008 (top 50) - plus cases and deaths.png

Relatively new in all of this is the calculated monthly average daily cases, deaths and tests, which can also be compared to the 7-day rolling average from the final 7 days of the month.

Aaaand it appears that the 7-day averages that I so carefully input into the table no longer line up. I am too tired to correct this today, will do this in the next days....

    WORLDWIDE TOTAL C19 +CASES +DEATHS 7-DAY AND MONTHLY AVERAGES (top 50):

THE TRACKED NATIONS UNDER THE 1,000,000-MARK, HOW CLOSE TO 1,000,000?

As of and including October 1st, 2021, there are/were 92 days left in the year 2021.

I created a new table in July for the nations that I am tracking under the 1,000,000 mark to see which of them, based on their current 7-day-rolling average, will cross over the 1,000,000-case milestone within these last 122 days. Guatemala, Sri Lanka and Azerbaijan, which are not being tracked yet but rather, pre-tracked, are also on the list, I am quite sure you will see why.

Rows 2-7 of this table are sort of a primer for us all, to get a good ballpark view of what a nation at each of those round C-19 case totals would have to suffer in order to go over 1,000,000 cases.

I've sorted just one way this time around, it will be obvious to you:

The long and short of this is that the numbers, if they hold as they are now, point to 5 nations I am currently either tracking or pre-tracking that are going to cross the 1,000,000 case threshhold.

Can all of this change? You bet it can. Serbia was not even on my radar one month ago and now, Serbia now next in line to cross the million mark.

    WORLDWIDE TOTAL STATISTICS BY CONTINENT:
All of the WorldOMeter screenshots of the continental data are at the overflow link at the top of the analysis. Here is the distillation of the top-line data for the continents:

And next we can see a statistical monthly compare, sorted in descending order by cases, deaths, recovereds, +cases, +deaths, +recovereds, and the growth rates as well:

We continue to see a stark rise in Africa and Oceana.

Yesterday I made an error by the sorting of the extensive excel tables for the top 50. I forgot to sort the 7-day averages (which I have to manually input, btw) with the rest, so here we go again:

WORLDWIDE TOTAL C19 CASES, DEATHS and TESTS (top 50):

    2021-09-030 COVID-19 Worldwide 001 (top 50) - total cases and deaths - corrected.png
    2021-09-030 COVID-19 Worldwide 002 (top 50) - total cases and deaths - corrected.png

    WORLDWIDE TOTAL C19 +CASES +DEATHS 7-DAY AND MONTHLY AVERAGES (top 50):

    2021-09-030 COVID-19 Worldwide 005 (top 50) -plus cases and deaths - corrected.png
    2021-09-030 COVID-19 Worldwide 006 (top 50) -plus cases and deaths - corrected.png

Here you can compare with your own eyes the values for the monthly average vs the 7-day rollling average (which would be the last week of the month). If the 7-day rolling is considerably higher than the monthly average, then that means that that nation picked up steam at the end of the month. If the value is lower, then that nation's wave was receded at the end of the month and if it is relatively the same, then that nation probably had a very steady march through the month.

    3 examples:

    Steady: see COLOMBIA
    considerably higher: see ROMANIA
    considerably lower: see TUNISIA
WORLDWIDE TOTAL C19 CASES DEATHS GROWTH RATES (top 50):

    2021-09-030 COVID-19 Worldwide 013 (top 50) -case and death growth rates.png
    2021-09-030 COVID-19 Worldwide 014 (top 50) -case and death growth rates.png

15 nations had +case growth rates over over 10%, 12 nations had the same in +death growth rates. Vietnam, Cuba, Thailand and Malaysia were in the top 4 in both cases, with Vietnam well above the rest of the field.

4 nations had a growth rate of less than 1% in +cases and 7 had a growth rate of the same in +deaths, with Czechia and Poland as the bottom two in both cases.

Interestingly enough, the countries that came in with the growth rate close to the composite of the top 50 combined (Pakistan in cases, Tunisia in deaths), were both rank 25 of 50 when measured this way, which does not happen often.

I was at a party on Friday, my first party since lockdown began in 2020, and well, I had a very good time, which means that I had a terrible headache yesterday when I was typing this stuff....

So, my eyes are seeing a verifiable "drying out" of the Covid-19 Delta wave in most of the 50 nations in my tracking, also in the 3 nations in my pretracking. It's happening in the majority of countries on 5 of 6 continents, with Oceana being the exception as Australia is logging a great many cases in relation to it's past.

A notable exception to this is in a large swath of Eastern Europe, especially Ukraine, which is just exploding with cases and is currently averaging +10,128 cases per day. Two months ago, on 2021-08-005, Ukraine was averaging +801 cases a day, so we are seeing an almost 13-fold increase in cases . Also, Romania, which lay dormant for months on end, is closing in on +12,000 cases per day. And Serbia, which is now just 25,000 away from the million-mark and guaranteed to go over said mark in the next days, is now averaging +6,844 cases per day. Two months ago, on 2021-08-006, it was +434 cases per day, an almost 16-fold increase in two months, on a very similar track to Ukraine. In fact, two months ago, I was about to write off Serbia, thinking it would never cross the million-line. There is also a slight rise in both Poland and Czechia, but not nearly as extreme as in the other three nations I just mentioned.

In Asia, Malaysia is still charging along, but with slightly less cases than during the Delta wave. Thailand? Similar story. Vietnam is still going to hit the million mark, of this I am sure, but it's down to about half-the number of +cases as was the case 6 weeks ago.

In Africa, Morocco, which was charging like a bull for 3 months solid, has suddenly slowed it's pace to a drip. Two months ago, Morocco was averaging +9,109 cases per day and as of yesterday, that average was +763, a 13-fold DECREASE in +cases. And we are seeing this kind of thing happening in most places.

In the USA, the caseload stands at an average of +103,768 per day. At the beginning of September, it was +163,000 and two months ago, the case load was almost identical to right now, so we see the curve going down in the USA, only the descent is not as steep.

The worldwide average is "down" to +473,000 cases per day, if you can even call that "down".

The real question in my mind is whether or not we will see a winter wave hit as people are indoors more and more.

Life comes at us fast, to say the least.

    Interesting trends and anomalies, Stat.

Delta is waning because that is how the virus functions. The concern is whether there will be another outbreak around the holidays as there was in 2020. Given that this wave is abating that means people will drop both their guard and their masks and do dumb things like go shopping on Black Friday in crowds without masks so we will end up with another wave.

    You just cannot fix stupid.

Hopefully the number of vaccinated people will mitigate the death toll.

As of yesterday's totals, Brazil is on the cuff of 600,000 total C-19 deaths and India is on the cuff of 450,000 total C-19 deaths. Both of them should exceed those marks today (or tomorrow at the very latest).

Also, in the cases of both the USA and Brazil we are facing the real and very terrifying possibility that those two nations may end up with over 1,000,000 Covid-19 deaths apiece when the pandemic is officially over. At the rate that deaths are currently mounting in the USA, I see no way that the USA comes in at much under 900,000 deaths at the end of this year alone and surely the pandemic will not be over with at year's end 2021.

For my way of thinking, that is extremely sobering.

Today, 2021-10-007, the USA is guaranteed to break over 45 million total confirmed Covid-19 cases.

To put this into perspective, just less than one year ago, on 2020-10-029, right before Halloween, the ENTIRE WORLD went over 45 million total confirmed Covid-19 cases and now, one year later, stands currently at 237 million. Our world will easily be well over 245 million cases by 2021-10-029, at least 200 million more than one year ago.

My eyes are seeing a statistically significant rise in +cases and +deaths in Russia, which right now (2021-10-007) averaging +25,583 cases and +899 deaths per day. At the end of last month, 7 days ago, the average was +22,290 daily cases and +830 daily deaths, in the middle of September it was +18,431 daily cases and +780 daily deaths and at the end of August 2021 the average was +19,084 daily cases and +801 daily deaths.

So, we can see that +cases in Russia plateau'd from the beginning of September until the middle of September and then started to climb by about an additional just shy of +3,000 cases over 2 weeks until the end of September and now again an additional shy of +3,000 daily cases in just one week. So, the pace of increasing +cases in Russia has verifiably picked up. In the case of +deaths, it's been a steady rise without and plateau, which usually indicates the end of a wave if the +cases were receding, but in this case, it may be two waves that are essentially smooshed into each other like marshmallows.

In a way, this is not surprising, as Russia neighbors Ukraine on Ukraine's eastern border and the Ukraine ist suddenly getting hammered with a wave of +cases.

But the real reason why I am writing this is to remind that in Russia (and Ukraine), the Fall and Winter months tend to set in earlier, the temps are dropping more quickly there than in most of the rest of Europe and in North America, so unfortunately, we may already be seeing the Fall/Winter wave that likely would have happened whether or not the Delta and Delta+ variants had ever existed.

Sigh. I had really been hoping that this would not happen.

It is very likely that Spain and Columbia will be joining the weekly concise analyses in the MIDDLE part of October, 2021 as both are very close to 5,000,000 total confirmed Covid-19 cases right now and will very likely exceed that marker in the next days:

On Friday, 2021-10-008, Brazil surpassed 600,000 total Covid-19 deaths. Earlier this week, I projected that this would happen.

We now have 4 nations over the 900,000 mark, with a 5th nation on the way in the next 15 days:

    2021-10-008 COVID-19 Worldwide 001 - total cases.png
    2021-10-008 COVID-19 Worldwide 002 - total cases.png

Serbia - 994,708, will go over the 1,000,000-mark today, 2021-10-009.
    Morocco - 938,286
    Cuba - 911,237
    Kazakhstan - 900,121

And then there is Vietnam, 2 ranks under Kazakhstan, with 831,643, but averaging far more +daily cases than either Kazakhstan or Morrocco and slightly more than Cuba. Vietnam will be over 900,000 shortly, no doubt about it.

These 5 are the five that are guaranteed to break the 1,000,000-barrier by year's end, or by end of October or end of November, even.

We will end the year with at least 41 nations over the 1,000,000-mark, but there are some others that are closer than we may realize and if a surge happens again, then we could end up with 45 nations over the 7-digit-hurdle.

SERBIA EXCEEDED 1,000,000 TOTAL COVID-19 CASES ON 2021-10-009, 36th NATION TO DO SO

Today, Saturday, 2021-10-009, Serbia jumped over the 1,000,000 mark in total C19 cases:

    2021-10-009 COVID-19 Serbia exceeds 1,000,000 C-19 cases 000 - close up.png

    2021-10-009 COVID-19 Serbia exceeds 1,000,000 C-19 cases 000 - WorldOMeter temporary.png

    Here the excel table:

    2021-10-009 COVID-19 Serbia exceeds 1,000,000 C-19 cases 000 - excel table.png

The figures for Serbia are final as Serbia reports in only once per day and since I have been tracking that country, has never revised its totals afterward.

At year's end 2020, there were 18 nations over the 1,000,000 mark which means that an additional 18 more nations have joined that rubrik during the year 2021. At the beginning of the year, I indicated that between 40-50 nations total would probably be over the million-mark by EOY 2021 and it looks very much as if it will be at least 41, if not more, when all is said and done. What a sad development.

In the next days I will post a chronological chart of the 18 countries from 2020 and now the next 18 from 2021.

The total population of Serbia is circa 8.7 million residents, less than both Israel (9.3 million), Portugal (10.2 million), Sweden (also 10.2 million) and Belgium (11.6 million) making Serbia the smallest nation in terms of population to have cracked the 1,000,000-barrier in Covid-19 cases. The positivity-rate in Serbia is just under 9.95%.

Since most people don't even know where to find Serbia on a map, here it is:

When the former communist state of Yugoslavia broke up into pieces, the lion's share went to both Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia, with Montenegro and Kosovo getting smaller portions of land. Note that Serbia borders mostly on Romania (which is having a massive surge in cases as well) and some on Bulgaria.

I have to admit, I did not see this one coming right away, because for a long time, Serbia was just clocking a couple of hundred cases per day and seeming to stand still in the rankings, and then, about 5 weeks ago, BÄÄÄÄÄÄÄM, a surge started there. As Serbia's surge was starting, Morocco's very lengthy surge was starting to taper off.

If current trends continue, then after Serbia the countries of Cuba, Vietnam, Kazakhstan and Morroco would be up next to join the million-club.

We may feel like we are done with Covid-19, but Covid-19 is quite apparently not done with us. Not by a longshot.

On a side note, I am still having to wrap my head around the idea the little bitty Austria (population: 9.1 million) has conducted MORE Covid-19 tests than either Turkey (population: 85.5 million) and Germany (84.1 million).

    It's just..... weird.....

As I indicated yesterday, with the entry of Serbia into the "million-club", that country having exceeded 1,000,000 total confirmed Covid-19 cases, there is a sort of symmetry between 2020 and 2021, because the first 18 of those 36 went over the 1,000,000-line in 2020 and the second 18 up until this point in time in 2021.

In order to make this visually easier to see and interpret, here is a table of the countries that have exceeded 1,000,000, 5,000,000, 10,000,000, 20,000,000, 30,000,000 and 40,000,000, respectively:

    2021-10-010 COVID-19 the millions clubs.png

This table is near the front of the sig-file set of more than 60 excel tables, is called "The millions Clubs" and is divided into three parts (visually). The first two parts have some blue highlighed areas, they designated the demarcation between the years 2020 and 2021.

So, at the left, you now see the 36 nations that have gone over the 1,000,000 mark, in chronological order. You will see that for all categories, I have also listed the exact total of Covid-19 cases on the day that each nation exceeded the next major million-mark. By Turkey, which was the 15th nation to break the million-barrier, there is an asterisk next to the exact total, because as you can see, that total is closer to 2,000,000 than to 1,000,000. I reported on this massive backlog of cases that Turkey finally published on that day way back then.

In the middle, also embellished with blue lines as demarcations, you can see the 5,000,000, 10,000,000 and 20,000,000 clubs. It looks very much as if we will close out 2021 with at least 11 total nations over 5,000,000 as both Spain and Colombia are on their way to the 5,000,000 mark, which would mean that in that category, 3 nations were at 5,000,000 in 2020 and the remaining 8 were added in 2021.

In the 10,000,000 category, we are likely to close out 2021 with 4 total nations, 3 of which are already listed and UK is well on it's way to 8-digit barrier.

You can see that by 10,000,000, the ranks have thinned out considerably.

I have added 50,000,000 as a category as the USA could very well get to 50 million by year's end.

So, that's the chronology of the dreadnaught nations out there. All of this was documented acribically as it happened, on this thread, should you want to check the veracity of this chronology.

    Hope this helps.

My eyes are continuing to see a rise in +cases and +deaths in: Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Georgia and Turkey but a slowing of cases in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tadzikistan and Kyrgistan. This is interesting because all of the nations that are experiencing a rise are west of the Caspian Sea and either actually a part of Eastern Europe or Asia Minor, while the others are east of the Caspian Sea and are exclusively part of Asia. So, I am wondering if there is something about travel routes due e-ne-se of the Caspian Sea that is slowing the transmission of the virus.

Just a observation, not yet based on hard, cold fact, but I wanted to put it out there.

The UK is now averaging just over +38,000 fresh Covid-19 infections per day (7-day rolling average), making it (since about 10 days) the number two land in the world in daily +cases, well behind number one, the USA. India, Brazil and Iran are all three registering less than 1/3 of the daily cases as the UK at current.

Something has gone seriously wrong in the UK in terms of ongoing infections. Where the Delta variant is "drying out" in so many corners of the world, it is not in the UK. That being said, the 7-day rolling average in daily +deaths is now less than one month ago, proving that Delta is far more contagious but indeed (thankfully) less deadly.

    Tidbits, but important ones.

Today, Thursday, 2021-10-014, our world will exceed 240,000,000 (240 million) total confirmed Covid-19 cases.

Also, today the USA will hit the total number of Covid-19 tests that represents almost exactly double the population of the USA.

Also, +cases are now seriously rising in Hungary, an eastern European nation. For a long time, I wrote Hungary off as a candidate to break the million-barrier within this year, but if things progress as they currently are, all bets are off.

Also, Ukraine, also an Eastern European nation, is now averaging over +14,000 fresh infections per day (7-day rolling average), higher than India, Brazil and Iran and looks currently to be rank 3 under the UK and the USA in daily +cases.

It is very much looking as if Eastern Europe may very well be the hotbed for the next wave, should it happen. Let's all hope that it does not.

Also, Australia is already pushing 140,000 total C-19 cases. It's daily average is not nearly as high as Vietnam's was during this phase of breakthrough, but relative to the well under +50 cases that Australia had been experiencing for a long time, for this country, these numbers are an unmitigated disaster and a harbinger of a weird summer in the making in Australia. Don't forget, Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere and as we in the Northern Hemisphere are approaching winter, they are approaching summer.

Cannot recall where I saw/heard of this idea but don't want to take credit for this concept.

Essentially what is needed is a 5 YEAR PLAN to rid the world of Covid along the same lines as what was done with Smallpox.

Yes, that is a massive undertaking but we are essentially deluding ourselves into believing that it is just going to "go away" all on it's own some time in the near future.

Personally I think that it will be more like a 10 year plan but I am willing to start at 5 years just to get everyone on board and get this ball rolling.

How many more "waves" is it going to take before the message sinks in that even with 100% vaccination rates it will still be around?

We have to stop using a half assed approach and take this seriously.

Today, 2021-10-016, for the first time ever in it's Covid-19 history, Russia recorded more than +1,000 daily C-19 deaths. Russia is now averaging +980 deaths per day (7-day rolling average). Exactly one year ago, on 2020-10-016, Russia recorded +232 deaths and it's rolling 7-day +deaths average back then was: +209

Also, Russia has now recorded 200,000,000 (200 MILLION) total C-19 tests performed.

    So, deeer peeepul,

we are now entering the 42nd calender week of 2021, just 10 more to go after this one and soon, Norad will be showing Santa's path across the earth, dropping off all of those Covid-19 free gifts to good boys and girls worldwide. Lord, I love watching that sleigh just zip through the sky. It's like Chanukah on steroids.

In the meantime, the world has now crossed over 441 million C-19 cases.

Today, 2021-10-018, Russia will exceed 8,000,000 total confirmed C-19 cases as both Russia and the UK are on course to break into the 8-digit-zone in cases by year's end, joining the USA, India and Brazil.

    Life comes at you fast.

For the 3rd time in the last 5 days, Russia has clocked in with more than +1,000 deaths per day:

And for the first time ever in it's Covid-19 history, Russia's 7-day rolling average in +deaths is now over the +1,000 mark.

Workers in Moscow are being told to stay home until at least the end of this month and elderly people have been ordered to stay in their homes and not receive visitors. Only a small percentage of Russia has been vaccinated.

Just a short report from my county. I got my booster, just in time, because we have a horrible surge. Our 7 week incident figure per 100k is now 550. That is what I call a very stout number. No reporting in the local news outlet. Covid does not exist any more, only when the school board votes down those childish mask mandates. Our schools open and close, open and close, when ever they have to many cases, about every 2 weeks. The county jail is closed, they have a outbreak. Hospital is so full, that they do only emergencies.
But other wise everything is just fine. The county lives and acts like pre-covid, Pleasant Ville.
15% of the population has had covid and only 50% are fully vaccinated.
You do not have to be Einstein to understand what 550 means, the curve has passed linear a long time ago. The magic 1, were one covid infected person would infect 1 person, is somewhere were 1 person infects 64. But in Pleasant Ville, that does not happen. We play football, basketball, volleyball and even girly soccer, have rodeos, fairs and home coming parades. Our hospital worker are leaving, walking of the job, exhausted, in our county and the neighboring. They can not handle it any more they say, there is no need for it, it can be prevented now.
My social circle is very small now, because I prefer do be around vaccinated people. But than I watch how people I associated and socialized end up in the Hospital and or get the ride in a Helli to Grand Junction or Denver, which is for the majority of the cases a one way trip. the air lift flies daily.

But remember, this is Pleasant Ville, none of this really happens.

I got my booster 4 weeks ago when it was only for 70+ and the folks with a immune problem, or working in the health field.
One of my bejond 70 customer told me. So I took my and my vaccination pass port to the pharmacy and inquired about the booster. The Lady behind the counter looked at, smiled and said old enough, handed me the papers, came out with the needle piiiiiicks, filled out my card and VP. I said that was easy, she said I wish we had more of you, if you know any send them to me please. You should see how full the hospital is, its horrible. we need more people like you. All of my employees have their booster now.

Yesterday the Head Pharmacist in one of our Grocery Stores blew up. Standing infront of the pharmacy she has worked for 29 years, screaming that she is tired of killing people with c19 vaccines, a 5 minutes rant and than she quit and walked out. She belongs to the County Patriots, a far right wing group, of Ts and 3%.

Jaiks that was a show and I wanted just Steaks and a 24 pack of beer.
