Should Biden Mandate that Food Stamp & Welfare Recipients get Vaccinated?

Where does this socialist government control of the people stop, or does it stop when you have a socialist style potus holding the highest office in the land?

 

I asked this same question (in a poll, I think) a month or two ago and most liberals said that it wouldn't be fair to stop government benefits to the needy if they didn't get vaccinated. I thought that was rather funny.

 

He mandated any company getting Federal contracts must have their employees vaccinated but if you get a check from the government to doing nothing, no problem.

Yes!!!!! Biden should mandate EVERYBODY get vaccinated. And the courts should send to prison those who refuse.

They pose a risk to themselves (which I couldn't care less about), to others and to the economy and the country.

People who can't behave like adults should be treated like children!

 

I'm not against it, for the sake of consistency. As welfare and food stamp recipients also engage in society, they should be given the choice - as has been done in the Jan 4 proposal - get vaccinated or take weekly tests. And as the latter would eat into their welfare, they would likely choose vaccination.

 

Democrats make different stances depending on what they want in the moment.
For abortion its my body my choice
For vaccinations its mandates for all

For their minority voting pool its not fair to mandate those vaccinations
For everyone else its get vaccinated or loose your job

For whites if you don't take the vaccine your an anti vaxxer
For 65% of blacks and latino's that refuse the vaccine, its because they have a right to be scared of it

They cry and whine about hospitals not having enough resources to handle the pandemic
But force thousands of medical staff out over non compliance because they already had Covid with better immunity and don't need the vaccine

They will leave thousands of Americans behind enemy lines at the mercy of the Taliban
Then congratulate themselves on the success of the evacuation

They will condemn, reticule, and force out thousands of firefighters, law enforcement, pilots, air traffic controllers, first responders, and federal employees
Then claim its good to get rid of them so we can replace them all with their imaginary force of firefighters, law enforcement, pilots, air traffic controllers, first responders and federal employees.

They treated truckers like dirt during the first part of the pandemic to the point a huge number just walked away
Then can't understand why we have cargo ships by the dozens waiting off port

They vote for a president that declares he won't mandate vaccines
Then ridicule anyone who wants to hold him accountable for mandating vaccines

 

I dare you to try and arrest anyone in my family for their vaccination choice.

 

Nothing like good old fashion tyrannical communism to bring out the best of the party. Jail everyone who doesn't comply with government orders huh.
God how I wish they would try.

The only way they could pose a risk to the vaccinated, is if the vaccine doesn't work. Why do you think the vaccine doesn't protect you?

 

This guy claimed one of his employees died from COVID then later in another thread admitted he felt he deserved it and has no remorse for him. So this doesn’t surprise me. The only thing I hope will happen if something like this comes to fruition that those who supported the idea sign up to be the administers of the punishment.

 

Its another perfect example of how the left become radicalized so easily. Kill or jail anyone who doesn't do as I command them to do.
Yet they don't have the balls to actually live in a country like that.

My goodness, that belief is about as totalitarian of a desire as it comes. Such a policy would even raise eyebrows within the Chinese Communist government.

To each their own. While I defend your right to express this desire, thankfully, there are not enough people with your belief system to actually make it a reality.

 

I don't have to arrest anybody. But I would cheer for authorities if they arrested anybody who puts the life of others at risk out of sheer ignorance and stupidity.

I'm amazed that we have been with this virus for almost two years, and the vaccine has been around for almost a year... and there are still people out there who don't understand how it works.

I mean.. even if it's not this vaccine... vaccines (in general) have been around for over a century. And there are still people who don't understand how they work. And if that ignorance is what drives people to not get the shot, then I would love to se a mandate like the one the OP suggests. Maybe sitting in jail for a few days might give them the time to get educated before they go and kill somebody.

 

So you can explain how unvaccinated individuals pose a risk to vaccinated individuals.

I agree whole-heartedly with the sentiment, but Biden has no business or authority to mandate vaccinations to anyone for anything.

 

There is no such thing as a "right" to infect others with a deadly disease.

 

I think anyone who commits rape should be arrested and I’m more than happy to hold them down till police show up if I catch them. Same goes for murder, theft, or anything else. So if you think it equates to murder why wouldn’t you restrain them if you caught them?

 

Easy.. The point of the mandate is to protect people from each other. Receiving benefits is an act that does inherently require they be around others. Such a person should run into restrictions if they try to go to a store or other indoor public places, though.

The vaccine helps a lot but is not 100% (unsure why some have an all or nothing thinking on that part).

 

There are many threads in the Covid forum that explain how vaccines work, and almost two years on data about how Covid spreads. Sorry but I don't have the time or the inclination to explain Covid to you all the way from the basics.

Nor is there a "right" to run over someone with your car, but that does not mean that we will put anyone driving a car in prison, which directly addresses the misguided logic that you seem to be employing.
