I think schools that have tried separate facilities have done the only thing they can do proactively. Our schools are old and were built in a time when boys were boys and girls were girls. Unless we build stick 500 port a johns outside or convert half the classrooms to single occupant bathrooms, I think the predators are gonna win.
Some people think that they are a cat or an elephant or a letterbox or so. Do we then respectfully threat them like a cat or an elephant or a letterbox or so? But if a man thinks he is a woman or vice versa - then we should fall over with respect?
And if somebody thinks he/she/it/they is Napoleon or the former Emperor of China - must he/she/it/they then be honoured as such?
In the privacy of his/her/its own mind, a 'person' should be able to believe that he/she/it is whatever he/she/it believes himself/herself/itself to be! BUT -- TAXPAYERS SHOULDN'T HAVE TO INDULGE ANY OF THESE PRIVATE CONCERNS WITH ENORMOUS EXPENDITURES OF MONEY. Nevertheless, eventually, taxpayers will have to pay... so long as radical, 'woke' Democrats hold sway in our government. They uniformly adhere to Saul Alinsky's catechism in "Rules for Radicals": Destabilize, undermine, and sabotage every social precept that your opponent embraces... then, OUTLAST HIM! .
Sorry to say, but gender is just a play on words. As the human race continues, one produces sperm and one produces an egg. As we all know, we call them male and female. If a young lad or young lass wanted to meet someone, get married and have kids, no point in being duped to go out with the same sex with bits either cut off or stuck on. All this is physical. The mental side is what you think you are, and if it doesn't match your physical side, then it is simply a mental issue. Are humans the only animal with this issue?
1st.. there is not such thing as "trangendered" unless DNA's x and y chromosomes can be changed.. and they can't. Teach basic biology? 2nd.. since when did less than .02% of the population obtain such political power as to disrupt a nation?
Out of curiosity, have you ever had a conversation with a person who believes they were born the wrong sex?
I wanted to be a girl when I was 4 or 5 years old; they didn't seem to get as much punishment as I did; but then I found they could not pee standing up. I decided I rather be a boy.
As far as sports are concerned......let's see if there is enough support for "transgender sports" either way. You want to mess with your genetic make up, we have a class for you. Now compete against yourselves. That is the only fair and "American" way to pull it off!
How would that conversation explain the genetic code? Have you ever had a conversation with a person who believes they were born in the wrong century?
That conversation could go multiple ways, depending on the topic. Discuss topic, end of conversation. Discuss topic, segue into another topic, end of conversation. Discuss topic, some commentary is inserted to make sure that one party is advised of the other party's particular status regarding (name topic), continue on topic A or discuss inserted topic, end of conversation. Too many people feel that the world needs to know personal matters that are not part of whatever is being discussed or dealt with.
Good question. Then maybe there are others who feel that deep inside they are French and complain that they were born in Italy - or vice versa.
Then again there are others that think that deep inside they are footballers, but born as tennis players - or vice versa. There is no end to such problems.
If one person is discussing another's personal matters and making judgments, I would like to think that they have taken some time to actually have a conversation with that person and understand their thinking/position.
.....and I think that person who sees his/her personal quirks as a reason for the entire culture to adjust to those quirks reassess his/her thinking.
Without conversing with them, how can you understand what you call 'quirks'? I would respect your views so much more if I knew they were informed and not just opinion without due diligence.
Apparently not. Will she be able to compete when she goes on them, her levels would still be less than the man that is competing? As noted in other threads men on hormone suppression therapies still have ten times the testosterone as the normal female swimmer.
I know for a fact a persons genetic make up does not change just because that person wants to be something else. This is in no way my "opinion". I would suggest that person should do everything possible to conform to that fact. It is not an opinion. To suggest an entire culture should conform to every notion contrary to fact is just not reasonable in anyway. Sure....we can have compassion toward someone who entertains peculiar ideas, but that never changes the facts!
Other threads may not be accurate. Here's a born biological female, still a female, that has a body that generates an above amount of testosterone that did win in the olympics and was then banned until she took testosterone lowering drugs to get under a certain level. So, the level of testosterone is a factor on who is or is not allowed to compete in female sports when cis-female or trans female. ... Caster Semenya is a winner. The 29-year-old South African is the two-time women’s 800m Olympic champion, a three-time 800m world champion and a double Commonwealth Games middle distance gold medallist. To wrap those figures in further context, when Semenya won the Doha Diamond League 800m in May 2019, it was her 30th consecutive victory over the distance. Put simply, when fit, in-form and free to run without distraction, Semenya is almost unbeatable over the 800m. But these are not circumstances often afforded to Semenya, who lives with a condition in which her body produces a much higher level of testosterone than most other women. https://olympics.com/en/athletes/caster-semenya
