Why the Masked and the Unmasked Have Disdain for Each Other

That’s correct. Most masks people wear are either ineffective, or people don’t wear and maintain them properly.
There is absolutely no reason for general public to wear them and those who advocate their use are either ignorant or virtue signaling.

 

You need to tell that to all thoise fools that work in hospital emergency rooms.

 

About a year ago My friend and I were walking our dogs and both of us were masked. A man and his son in a pick up truck and who live nearby stopped and called us lefty puss.... and said "I otta rip those masks off your faces." My German Shepherd discouraged him. That is why I hold SOME anti maskers in contempt

 

Nobody gives a **** if antimaskers don't wanna wear a mask. What we do give a **** about is antimaskers deliberately violating the rules a business has when it comes to wearing a mask because they don't wanna wear a mask. Tough ****. Go to another place of business that will allow you to go in maskless. Until then, follow the rules and quit crying.

Actually, they are following government advice. Your frustration should be aimed at government. I take orders from the government because I don't want to enter the judicial system. I never take advice from government. I consider that advice to be in the interest of government, not me. I stopped wearing a mask 2 years ago because I understand the reason for masking advice and it isn't for my benefit or yours.

 

Plenty of proof masks work. Ask any person who work in ER or surgery. That's why they wear them.

But they have to be the correct kind and worn properly.

 

Are they any different than those that try to guilt and shame those that do not wear masks and are against them? There's many anti mask posters doing exactly that.

 

Just so ya know, each time one receives a booster for whichever strain of Covid is currently in vogue, the immune system is experimentally, and permanently changed. BTW, the booster is usually for a strain of Covid which has burned itself out and said booster isn't effective for the current strain of Covid.

 

But we aren't being vaccinated since the 'vaccination' provided to us doesn't prevent spread and doesn't prevent the 'vaccinated' from being infected with Covid.

 

No vaccine prevents spread. Infection is another matter because of how they define infection. The important point is that the vaccines provide for lower rates of hospitalization and death. That is a statistical fact. People like me who are old and have co-morbid issues should definitely vaccinate. Those with natural immunity should not. For everyone else it is really optional. I think we need to view it that way and live with it that way. It is time to remove government from management of the response to covid. It is time to live with it. It isn't going away. Government has certainly done more harm than good in this matter.

Masks are used in hospitals to prevent the spread of bacteria which are pretty common in hospitals. Masks work just fine for reducing bacterial infections. If they want to reduce viral infections, they use N95 respirator masks which are fairly effective for that purpose. What they don't do is what we do which is wear a paper or cloth mask to prevent viral infections because they don't work in that role.

 

I do not believe J51 is the topic of this thread, however. Fallacy: Argumentum ad hominem. A factual rebuttal addressing the topic would better support your argument.

99% of us don’t live or work or do anything else in an environment anything like a hospital or it’s ER.

 

It’s not difficult at all. We have made a point of frequenting businesses that made it optional or no mention at all and openly boycotting and punishing those who demanded we wear them to give them our money for a product. Virtually no business demands them here now.

 

Just this morning, I see where a man in N Carolina in dire need of a kidney transplant, where the donor is approved (there were about 100 volunteer donors for him) has been told that unless both he and the donor are vaccinated, the hospital will not do the operation. Since the man has had covid twice- he already has better natural protection than the vaccine could offer. No matter- they told, him, take the vaccine or you will die.

He told them- "I was born free- and I will die free. NO vaccination." I find it incredibly despicable and arrogant that a medical institution could take that position.

It's really not the shots or the masks that offend and create resistance; it's the idea that the government can take over your personal choices and force you to comply. That is about as un-American as it gets.

 

I’m not one of them. I am live and let live and let every one make their own choice both mask and vaccine without consequences from the other side.
