    Are you suggesting the man that killed the shooter was a “what if” stat and saying he saved lives doesn’t count?

    You are so confused. The idea behind sensible gun control is not to stop mass shootings that ALREADY happened. It's to prevent as many FUTURE gun shooters as possible.

    It's kinda sad that we can only imagine how things would be in this country if we had sensible gun control legislation. While all other developed countries in the world LIVE the dream.

    The argument is if you remove the guns from the law abiding citizens and only the criminals have guns what do you think would be the results more or fewer innocent people getting killed with guns?

    And I’m the case where there was a good guy with a gun what happened? Peoples lives were saved. Would gun buy back have prevented this, no! Someone like this doesn’t give up their guns. But would gun control have prevented the man from owning the gun that saved lives? Very likely.

    We all know there is no such proposal on the table. There is only one off-the-cuff comment.

    Yes, I know what they believe about guns. Why? I am pro-gun and own many guns myself. What view of mine are you talking about, and when did I say I am libertarian? I do not agree with them when they say every single person, including criminals and mentally deranged / insane people should be able to own guns.

    No, YOU are confused as none of those gun control measures would have stopped this. The only thing that DID stop this was a good guy and his gun.

    But we aren't talking about removing guns from law abiding citizens. We want background checks that include mental health. We want red flag laws. We want it to be a process to purchase a gun - not just a simple purchase the way you would groceries. Why is that so hard to pass and gain acceptance?

    How are you going to eliminate the gun? YOU WON'T! So on this instance, the shooter would have gone on killing and killing until the ran out of ammo!

    Mainly because people dont trust those who would be making the red flag call. The party that wants red flag laws cant currently identify a woman over a man and we want them to evaluate red flags? Hard pass.

    Yeah? Tell that to the 3 dead people! Tell that to the parents of the 19 children dead in Uvalde.

    NOBODY with a gun is the best chance we have to avoid ANY of this from happening again. Clearly, arming people has not worked.

    The party pushing them isn't the same body that adjudicates them. Why are you concerned about police officers and judges making determinations that an individual is too dangerous to own a gun?
