I am still holding out hope that Durham can get something substantive to stick. There has been a lot of good stuff come out since we had the above conversation, and I'm eating some crow, but it's hardly been a knockout as yet. I am still underwhelmed, however, but I still look forward to eating a three course meal of my own cynicism!
How are these FBI officials getting away with having misrepresented FISA applications that were used in a war against their political opponents? Sad.
That really is the salient question that desperately needs to be answered if The People are to ever regain control of their governance. Republicans are the only hope of getting to the bottom of it, democrats don't care. But republicans have not been very good at follow through after having pounded the podium vowing substantive action that never comes. Chucky Schumer warned us that no one should dare to cross the intelligence guys, because they have myriad ways to retaliate. Perhaps that is part of the reason we never see any action on obvious corruption there.
The malignant Orange Cancer got that handed to him AGAIN today when a judge denied his request for another DA. Nobody else in the country can shop around for lawyers and judges. Why should he? And, the most dysfunctional part about this is they not only want to demonize thousands of people that have opened their eyes and issued warnings about how unhinged Trump is, they are angry he's receiving the exact same justice system we all have to face. Actually, he's still getting preferential treatment. You, I or anybody else that stole government documents would be in prison two seconds later. So, the question isn't if the FBI and/or DOJ are corrupt. It's "why can't Trump have special rules for his mountains of crimes?" He's a traitor to our country. Everyone should be standing on this side.
One of Trump’s biggest mistakes was not finding people who had been outside of government to take key positions in his administration. To hell with government experience. All that means is that you are an experienced swamp creature who knows how to swim and float in the slime. The current Trump appointed FBI director is a prime example. The concept that these people give up anything for public service is a joke. The liberal U.S.A. Today newspaper reported years ago that government worker getting paid more than people in the private sector with similar responsibilities. The new Republican President will need to clean house as far as the civil service laws allow him or her to do it.
Right now the DOJ and the FBI act like they are above the law. They can arrest Republicans with guns drawn and raid the home of a former United States President with impunity. No one in the lame stream news media says a word. They can put parents who attend PTA meetings on terrorist watch lists, but ignore rioters who loot and burn buildings and attack Federal Courthouses night after night. They can deep six Hunter Biden’s laptop for well over a year. So yea, the answer is “yes.” The only thing is, I liked the third choice better.
I agree 100%. Trump found out that the people who hold elected positions are not the ones who are actually running the show. His attempt to 'drain the swamp' needed to go all the way down to the janitors on day one if he hoped to have any chance of success there. Personally, I have lost confidence that republicans have the stones, or indeed the ability, to do what needs to be done. The entrenched career republicans are probably so compromised themselves that they can't effectively go after the bad actors without sinking their own boats. That would at least explain why there's never any follow-through on their threats to do the right thing. Democrats aren't going to help, of course, because they are shamelessly corrupt and benefiting from the status-quo. They want us to believe it's all in our tin-foil encapsulated heads. I don't know the answer, but if anything is going to change, it's going to be dramatic. The current kabuki theater we have is here to stay for the foreseeable future, I'm afraid.
Because Trump is the only one who clearly has no respect for the rule of law. Don't bother trying to whatabout it, i do not care what you think.
We say they have “qualified immunity”, but in reality all federal armed police have unqualified immunity. Aside from executing a stranger in Walmart, they are good to go. They may be fired, but they will walk.
I asked you first and once again instead of having a discussion you simple go full blown obtuse, how typical. I haven't defended him hold him to the law if he broke one (which you have never shown), why are you not holding the others and only him.
I just hope that republicans actually come threw for Americans, and actually indite and prosecute joe biden and hunter. Cause if not, America, is going to get pretty sick and tired of these type of investigations, without any REAL TRUE results.
