I have nothing against gay people and I've never worn a pride symbol in my life. I don't tend to wear political symbols of any kind.

No, it doesn’t. I never wear any symbols, usually just T-Shirts and jeans. This doesn’t mean I hate or love anyone or any group of people. I’m just not an activist or a pusher for any cause be that LBGT or any other cause.

I support equal rights and respect for all of the aforementioned groups. Gay people shouldn’t be treated less for who they lose and religious people shouldn’t be treated differently due to what they believe.

Individual action is what should be judged

Maybe not “hate” but it certainly means one doesn’t necessarily like or support them.

Leftists are very good at and prone to attributing damaging abusive and derogatory characteristics to people who don't think like they do or subscribe to their ideologies.

I would like to know more about this because there is not enough here to decide. Who said this? What is the context of what was said? What were the words used. Without any of that it is only an opinion about someone elses opinion.

Your post reminded of this short video I just watched, which was posted on another forum. Funny as hell.

They say they want tolerance, but they really want acceptance and there are dire concequinces for non-compliance.

There was a story not too long ago that Kroger was forcing people to wear rainbow symbols on their uniforms and some refused and there was a big bruhaha over it.

The point was to make a statement in favor of equal treatment of others who very clearly do face challenges related to equal treatment.

It didn't have to do with outing you.

And yet with the sickening smugness that accompanies it, these symbols generally look like virtue signalling "I'm better than you" and since that is not a message I wish to send I do not wear these symbols either.

Similarly: The Epoch Times reported, "Putting up signage that represents only sexual minority groups is not inclusive, parents told New Jersey’s Long Valley Middle School.

'"For about five years, the middle school posted square signs showing a rainbow triangle outside many of its classrooms, parents said. This designated the classrooms as a safe space for LGBT students.'

"But the school lacked signage declaring any safe spaces for other groups, said local Board of Education member John Holly. And for this reason, the rainbow triangle signs violated the school’s policies."

'How about a safe place for virgins?'

What would YOU suggest as a method of promoting an end to the racism and sexism that racial/ethnic minorities and LGBTQ citizens face in America today?

How about we ask everyone in the country to sign a pledge to support and further DEI and deny them employment and education if they refuse?

Where's there the claim of hate? Besides your opinion.

Wasn't your argument that wearing Christian symbolism is not legitimate, but wearing pride symbolism is?

"Equal rights for LGBTQ [people.]" Do they currently not have equal rights in some parts of the country?

    Many NHL players?

If people freely want to wear symbolism, nobody is stopping them.

What applies to LGBT people? Sexism? Obviously not racism.
