This specific one is about the events in Georgia, the 1/6 and classic documents are two additional cases.

But that isn’t what I asked: should the law not be enforced because of fears of retaliation?

No I believe you don't prosecute what you can't get a conviction on. It will backfire spectacularly.

Well, since almost no prosecutors in the country do that, will the eventual return of indictments convince you that she is convinced she will get convictions??

Keeping in mind it's very likely she will be following the educated advice of a Grand Jury....

Cite from the phone call where he violates section "B". I can't find it. And not some cherry picked quote but in full context.

The fact is he was asking to FIND actual fraudulent votes he believe existed not to create fake votes. That is not a violation of the law. But feel free to site him asking for fraudulent votes to be created out of thin air.

There was more evidence against Clinton did the Dems vote to remove him or try to make him resign or was Clinton above the law?

Congress impeached Clinton out of an issue that ultimately arose out of consensual sex For which democrats believed that Congress had no business impeaching Clinton for.

Trump however abused his oath of office and abused this power In trying to extort Zelensky By withholding congressionally approved funds for private gain So trump's impeachment was appropriate

Dems bloviate about democracy but, when the chips fall because of their hatred for Trump, for example, dems are against democracy.

It seems the only 'jury' to convict criminal politicians is the people who vote them out of office come next reelection cycle. We as voters must be vigilant against the 'wolves' of government.

There was no attempt to Mmmm overthrow the election. The charges are a fraud to even consider. But that’s Dems today, par for the course.

Clinton was impeached for an issue that ultimately arose from a federal civil rights sexual assault and harassment lawsuit. That issue being perjury, subornation of perjury, obstruction of justice and witness tampering. 11 felony charges. Clinton abused his oath of office, abused the office and subordinate workers in the workplace and committed multiple felonies. Was he above the law the Dems did not vote to remove him in spite of those high crimes.

And none of the witnesses in his impeachment testified that he tried to extort Ukraine but we do know Biden did so when do we impeach him?

Democrats NEVER believed the impeachment, arising from a sexual peccadillo, should have been put to the floor. Whatever violations occurred therefrom flowed from an illegitimate process. That is why dems didn't convict Clinton.

What clinton did was bad, granted, but it didn't rise to impeachment. It had NOTHING to do with the affairs of government and foreign policy, and ONLY to do with his bad boy behavior, the kind of behavior Trump has committed many times over, yet republicans give him a pass.
You know Biden did what? Now I know you are talking nonsense.

Biden did what, pray tell? And be careful with your accusation, because I know the facts, which will DESTROY your argument (regarding Biden/Ukraine) So, fire away.

As for the 'trial' there is no trial when you have Senators saying **** like:

"I am trying to give a pretty clear signal I have made up my mind. I'm not trying to pretend to be a fair juror here ... I will do everything I can to make [the impeachment trial] die quickly" --Sen. Lindsey Graham, before the Trial began.

The vote was pretty much conservatives versus liberals, and the Conservatives were definitely in a 'protecting their man' mode, quite unlike the Conservatives of the 70s, who had principles and a spine.

    I

So you believe Democrats believed that subornation of perjury and perjury, along with other felonies, were not worthy items to impeach a president over? That makes the democrats look even worse on that topic.

He wasn't impeached for sexual peccadillos didn't you ever read the article of impeachment. It arose from a sexual assault and harassment federal lawsuit which was NOT about a sexual peccadillo it was about abuse of power and ELEVEN FELONIES in a federal court and a federal grand jury. HIgh crimes.

Perjury, obstruction of justice, subornation of perjury and witness tampering are just bad and don't rise to the level of impeachment?

It had to do with his abuse of power in rewarding a subordinate GOVERNMENT employees for granting sexual favors an threatening those that refused in the workplace he managed and lying about when a former STATE employee under his governorship sued him for sexually assaulting her and harassing her as a subordinate employee. It wasn't just bad boy behavior he used the power of his office to try and entice women into sexual acts for rewards and favors. Trump didn't come close. Never charged with ANYTHING.

Extorted the firing of a Ukraine prosecutor for which he bragged about.

Biden never attempted to extort Ukraine
This claim has been debunked so many times that anyone now making the claim is just a liar.

Biden did not extort Ukraine. He was acting on behalf of the US Government. If you want to say that the US Government extorted Ukraine, that's fine...but Biden did nothing wrong.

There were no witnesses in Trump's impeachment trial about Ukraine. The Republican controlled Senate refused to call any.

Has the recently assigned Special Counsel been investigating this? Last I heard he was still in Europe due to a bicycle accident injury. There has been no time for his thorough investigation. So what is this BS thread really about? Let me guess you're just trying to keep hope alive.

There were plenty in the House impeachment hearings and since none could testify there was extortion they were not needed to testify. The Senate had ALL the transcripts, there trial is supposed to be based on what the HOUSE sends them.

Yes he did, he threatened to withhold money unless they bowed to his orders to fire a prosecutor. Trump was acting on behalf of the US Government seeking enforcement or our mutual assistance treaty with Ukraine dealing with internation crimes. Trump did nothing wrong, Biden was trying to prevent information about his influence peddling being disclosed.

Which was the position of the US and our allies. The dude was corrupt.

You know this argument is complete bull ****. Trump referred Ukraine to his PERSONAL attorney regarding a topic that his PERSONAL attorney had already stated PUBLICLY was a PERSONAL matter.

He never bragged about extortion. That's complete nonsense. He bragged about getting a guy fired that virtually everyone in the West wanted fired. Trump, meanwhile, pursued his PERSONAL interests. Even his own staff admitted that his withholding of funds was likely illegal.

No. This has nothing to do with the SC investigation. And pretty sure he's back in the US, not in Europe with a bicycle injury. Yes, there has been time for a thorough investigation . . . by the person actually conducting the investigation and not he guy you are trying to change the subject to.
