depicting Trump as a game show host is about as sensible as saying Obama was a crack head or Biden was a plagiarist

Technically he was with a show called the Apprentice and the Celebrity Apprentice. Now we have Tough as Nails, the Ultimate Challenge, Survivor, The Amazing Race, DWTS, and so forth. It is not just for prizes like the Price is Right or Jeapordy here. The TV networks try to put "a sense of reality" but make no mistake, it is a game show with a prize. There are no script writers to pay, the "actors" are the contestants with a small stipend, and the host who makes the game move along. Trump did that and was quite good at it.

There is no evidence, other than the word of a convicted con man who has served prison time in three different states about Obama being a crackhead. He was a "community organizer" though and was quite good at that. I think Biden plagiarized one paper or homework assignment in his last year of law school which dropped him from the top of the class to the bottom. But that was one time, and we went on from there in politics, got married, had a couple of kids, got divorced, got remarried, had another kid or two, and eventually became President of the United States.

Except Trump WAS a game show host and it was one of the only successful things he ever did without resorting to fraud (and I'm being generous).

One of my law professors taught Biden at Syracuse right after clerking on the USSC
Biden was at the bottom of every class he was in. His F for plagiarism was rescinded when he repeated the class and earned a B-as a result he graduated IIRC 69th out of 75. I also don't think he was divorced. HIs first wife and a child was killed in a horrific traffic accident and he was a widower. he remarried. I give him credit for that and being able to move forward after a devastating loss Then his oldest son died of brain cancer. He carried on. that is a credit to him.

Yes . . . mostly through fraud. Can you name a single successful business he started that wasn't fraudulent, other than his game show?

By cultivating a fake image of being successful through fraud. He was almost bankrupt when he started that game show.

Which buildings? The ones where he lied about the number of floors, or the square footage, or the occupancy rates to prop up a fraudulent business? Or did you have another building in mind?

Biden’s first wife and daughter died in an auto accident(his two sons survived). No divorce.

It's Time magazine. This is Boomer toilet literature. The idea that who they think the person of the year is for anything they type or write in their magazine matters suggests that people are paying too much attention to them.

It's the publication that forgot to die in 1993

She is at the absolute top of her game right now, she has my sincere respect for that. Person of the Year, though? I don't know that *I* would have made that pick, but I congratulate her for being honored, and I fully respect Time Magazine's right to make their own subjective choices and publish whomever they want on their magazine cover.

Does not sound like he was at the bottom of the class when he got a B after repeating it.

I tell ya, it's hard to go a day without the NY Post carrying a story about Tom Brady, his ex wife, Kim Kardashian or Swift. I've never heard her sing, I've never even heard her voice, and I'm totally Swifted out. Please, no more.

well I consider 69/75 in the bottom of the class, I guess you are pretending that unless someone is dead last, they aren't in the bottom of the class. He was before he got to repeat the class he cheated in. Bottom line-Biden was a dolt as a student. Syracuse law at that time was hardly getting even above average students. It cost as much as the big four in NY to attend (Columbia, Cornell, NYY and Fordham). HE also flunked the Delaware bar the first time he took it.

You familiar with the WHO's great song Pictures of Lilly? this photo cover could be some lonely teen age boy's version of what worked for Pete Townsend 65 years ago

How are you and I was trying to defend him I would go the route of grades aren't everything unless of course you think they are in which case you probably shouldn't vote for Biden he didn't make very good grades at school.

    It's technicality jargon

Suffice to say so bad and is a c student I personally wouldn't put too much stock into grades that's probably a better way to argue against this

I don’t get the big deal being made about this woman.

I certainly don’t get this thing about the connection of her and Trump supporters.

Has America turned into a society which worships entertainers?

No. Just a lot of us like Taylor Swift and made a lot of people feel better for awhile during a rather depressing year.

. Why is a singer who primarily appeals to teenage girls so important to society? It seems as though America has turned into a society which places the entertainment industry as the highest priority.

Trumps claim to fame was he was a game show host with the tag line. “You’re Fired”

    He is a pure entertainer

so obviously yes. America worships entertainers and always have

in my day is was rock stars that were worshipped Now a rock star has not made it until they became a game show host

Trump was a well known name long before he had a TV show. In fact there was a time Democrats were wanting him to run for POTUS.

What does Trump have to do with Taylor Swift?

I think that post-lockdown Americans and abroad were ready to gather and calibrate and she caught the zeitgeist. She had a marvelous year, entertained millions and everyone involved had a great time. No one made you go, no made you listen. I'm not sure what is bothering you.
