Anyone even remotely interested in politics knows both parties are the same. It is those who are vested in the status quo who want to keep the majority, who are uninterested in politics, of that age old mindset. The house of cards comes crashing down with a free thinking society of people interested in politics.
Funny how people want to save babies but care little for the lives of the people who supposedly protect the rights of the babies.
All signs point to the Republican Party of Iowa doing whatever they can to make sure anyone but Paul won. Now, the Republican establishment can continue to attack him in almost the only way they can, constantly saying he is unelectable, and Iowa as the first primary doesn't look completely ridiculous when these attacks continue.
Hmm.. ever think that is because most of the American People simply aren't a bunch of raving lunatic "mega conservatives" who froth at the mouth over every social program? Most Americans don't want a hyper conservative and they don't want a wild-eyed leftwing radical either. They want someone center right who can grow the economy while building a sustainable, yet reasonably humane safety net for the old and the poor, and who can bring medical costs down without going to single payer. That isn't too much to ask IMO. As far as foreign policy they want to see a responsible withdrawal from Afghanistan that won't result in it turning back into a terrorist training camp and someone who can slow/halt the Iranian nuclear program and won't abandon every single diplomatic/economic/military alliance we've painstakingly built over the last 50-60 years. That is not an impossible task at all.
OMG, OMG, OMG something that doesn't breathe, doesn't think, isn't a human. OMG, we MUST LET IT LIVE. SCREW full-grown men who have volunteered to serve this country. SCREW their lives, they don't mean (*)(*)(*)(*). ^^ Basically what Rick Santorum is saying.
Id much rather the house of cards to fall when people are free thinking versus being the sheeple they are now
Santorum believes he's guided by God and guide the US into untold wars. It's crazy that people would even consider this guy
Here's the deal.Ron Paul has a very loyal following. That may appear bigger and more influencial than it should.Because loud and loyal followers seem to steal the thunder and make their guy seem invincible. That's what has happened with Ron Paul.He had a core contingent, but nothing close to a big following. They just seemed Big because they were like a Rock Band bunch of groupies. Plus they acted like groupies and flooded phone lines and web sites to vote for their guy.it was more a Media display.
I'd say he's a xenophobic, religious semi-extremist with apparent intellectual mediocrity. Other then that he's swell - politically.
Things will change my friend. It is written in stone. There is no more selfish a generation than baby boomers, and right now, they hold the reigns. Such a formula is going to lead to disaster. Take the OP. An anti-social baby boomer, who made his fortune when opportunity in this nation was abundant, when one didn't even need the ability to read and write, as his posts demonstrate rather effectively. America is made up of pioneer, entrepreneurial type bloodlines from all around the globe, those without, making up the other nations of earth. Such a fact dictates there is no stopping us. Sure we would all love to get control of the wheel away from said baby boomers, but even if the system has been compromised to the point of the people's voice being a joke, we always have the eternal truth of humans coming with an expiration date. God knew and knows what he is doing.
No, Actually I do think many americans want lunatics to be in office, considering there are so many of them there. Open your eyes please. While most are busy attacking the other party, the federal government get stronger and stronger. To claim people want a moderate is undeniable, but a moderate in a sense of someone who is willing to undermine the constitution and individual rights so they are able to advance their own selfish gain. Its garbage, and the reason why the country is turning to (*)(*)(*)(*) is because of the political illiteracy of most americans.
The problem with Santorum is he is too pro-China. America will not keep it's place in the world if it does not confront China on trade and currency manipulation.
So youre saying that the mass majority care little about politics (hense being quiet and uninvolved). Exactly why they vote for retards like Romney and Santorum. And exactly why the country is going to (*)(*)(*)(*). Our history surrounds political activism, we as a majority are politically inactive.
China's 'manipulation' is within the realm of the financially legal and of market forces. China simply sells its currency to buy the US dollar. Supply and demand. America's is the actual problem. America's manipulation is second to none and the unchecked 'printing' of money the most glaring problem of currency. EDIT: It becomes 'controversial' because China finds tricks to buy more US dollars than a nation usually is 'allowed'... but why is China the free-market currency and the US not? Why should the US protect its currency? Let the market rule!
Yes I am I was in the Air Force in the mid 70's. I give money to paralyzed veterans and the mobile wall and the USO.
Paul is a libertarian and I would not vote for him. He will hurt national security. Romney is to liberal and I don't trust his smooth talking style he sounds like a democrat to me. I will not vote for Romney. By the way as an independent I can not vote in the primaries in Florida.
I agree, dont criticize china for something the US completely condones and perpetuates. The US can (*)(*)(*)(*) well change the policies in which we all barrow money from china. The US could either change their policy on import/exports or they could deregulate to make us more competitive.. dont blame china for working within the system we give them.
You are misguided but you have the freedom to believe that and Santorum would fight for you to keep that right
Iowa really is not that important neither is the liberal state of NH. Over the next 2 months after many primaries we will get better insight as to who the GOP may be.
Santorum is just Ahmedinejad lite. Just replace 'Jews' with 'Islamists' and the speeches are nearly identical!
A government that does not legislate morality, and personal decisions and liberties is one that is pro-freedom. One that intends to legislate morality (or uphold laws that legislate morality such as DOMA), and personal decisions and liberties is anti-freedom. Due to his stances on social issues, Santorum is more anti-freedom than Ron Paul.
Well, to discredit your argument, pre 9/11 we spent 1/4 of the money we do now. So now that a terrorist attack has occurred, the solution is to spend 1 trillion dollars 10 years later, after the man who planned it is killed, and to expand it by attacking other countries who have not attacked us? Im sorry, but our national security is worse off then before the invasion of iraq. There are more Al Quaeda and Taliban now. Iraq is more on the side of Iran and has no government. So have all these middle eastern wars helped national security or worsened it? Dont argue and rationalize within the boundaries of the past year or so. Dont disregard recent history or the facts. It discredits you and make you seem feeble minded.
Babies have no choice if they are aborted. The military is completely voluntary so our soldiers fight by choice.
