bummer..I was hoping for a 49ers, Ravens superbowl..

thanks to Williams the punt returner and a lack luster Smith the 9ers blew a good chance..

Yep. And Lee Evans dropping the touchdown pass in the end zone against the Pats. It could've been different!

Well, looks like mine and the nation's beloved super Patriots made my prediction of a Patriot/Giants rematch come true. As it stands now it is the Patriots -3.

I won't say by how much the Patriots will beat the Giants in the super bowl, nor will I even tell you they'll cover that tiny spread, but I will say that they will be redeemed by winning XLVI. Did I get those letters correct?

Another reason the Patriots will win their 4th super bowl in this short century is because of their name Patriots--coming from some of the most patriotic members of our American society as with our founders, i.e. John Adams, Paul Revere, John Hancock, Samuel Adams, and yes...even Ben Franklin was from the Boston area.

    GO PAT's.................... :-D....:-D.....:-D

I thought that last nights game actually belonged to the defence of both teams as they did a fantastic job. Being a Packer fan naturally I wanted them to win, but since they got beat I have to go with Tom Brady and the Pats.

Well, with the Patriots in the bowl--we certainly have the most exciting team to watch, unlike that boring baltmore team. Oh, and did I mention New England has the most rabid dedicated fans as well. :sun:

That Patriot logo suits our area so well even though some folks made the guy's picture out be Elvis Presley. Kind of looks like him...doesn't it? And I have always been a Conservative or WHIG just like my founding relatives like John Adams and the original Tea Partiers led by my relative Sam Adams were.

And I was under the impression that "rabid" and "dedicated" fit the Steelers fanbase better.

It probably does...while we have a lot of die hard faithful in Patriot country, there are plenty of band wagon fans in these parts...along with an intolerable amount of pink hats...

Good thing the Ravens can't catch open touchdown passes, or make short field goals :p.

Seems like a very lucky team in that game.

Every team that makes it to the super bowl is lucky. The Patriots defense played one of their best games of the year and made a lot of big plays when they needed to, including slapping a sure TD out of the receiver's hand to save the game on that last drive.

The Patriots offense was flat, Tom Brady threw two interceptions, they fumbled a kick return, and their defense was able to make enough plays to keep the game in hand.

Luck is a part of every game, but the Patriots were the #1 seed in the AFC for a reason. They are now 15-3 on the year.

I think you mean....hold onto the ball when corners make great plays and strip them.

That "swoosh" is horrible. They need to return to the old logo!

it was because aerosmith guy ruined the national anthem gave the ravens bad luck did you see their faces when that guy sang the song they were mad.

also the one receiver let the guy knock the ball out of his hand like there would be countless more opportunties to win the game he felt he didn't need to hold on for dear life

the field goal kicker is self explanatory

i am kinda sad that the 49'ers didn't make it, and I am not sure who I will root for. Neither the Giants nor Pats float my boat.

LOL. I hear you. The last Pats/Giants Superbowl was the only one I didn't watch in my life, and I will find something else to do for this one. I really can't believe the Giants are in there. The couple games I watched with them in it this season was some of the ugliest ball I have ever witnessed.

its suspicious that patriots are always winning , their name may have something to do with it in an effort to build optimisim in a country with declining sentiment

football is the best performing sport in the reccession and boasts the highest profits.
