That is like saying ''Goldwater and Ron Paul are the same, except Goldwater believed in an extensive welfare state''.

The fact is that you cannot have high economic liberty if you also insist on having a large military-industrial complex and a gazillion bases and divisions since all these men and machines need money and how do you get that money? With heavy taxation.

...he lacks charisma, and that's the biggest thing in politics...which is funny because with all the fat and ugly people in the US, you'd think they would ban together and support the guy...but we all know that fantasy beliefs are checked at the door...

Let's all sit back, close our eyes and spend a minute thinking about what America would look like after Paul had been President for a couple of months. Now open your eyes. That's better isn't it. I mean nobody wants to have a nightmare do they? You anarchists are pathetic. If you want to see the face of the anarchist movement just hold your nose and walk past any of the OWS camps. You'll be treated with a bunch of dirty anorexic teenage baby making machine girls holding babies with dirty diapers and their (cough) 'men folk' sitting around in the mud beating drums chewing gummy bears and smoking weed and attempting to straighten up long enough to elect someone to go mail in their welfare renewals. These are R.P.'s 'base'.

Sorry but you don't get to tell me what to do. Also, I hate to have to burst your bubble but I am doing something to end Obama's presidency; the only real thing I can do in fact, I am voting for someone besides him. Voting for Obama lite is not going to fix our situation though, it may get him out of office but if the guy who follows him does relatively the same policy wise what have you really accomplished? That is why I don't support statist candidates such as the other Republicans.

...see, this is the problem with stupidity, it's deceiving...for instance if you vote for someone THAT HAS NO CHANCE TO BEAT OBAMA, instead of someone that does, you are helping Obama and hindering his opponent...your "rebellious stupidity" is not accomplishing anything except stupidity...I think when the founding fathers set up the system of liberty, they had no clue about "reverse Darwinism" and "stupidity"...

...see, this is the problem with stupidity, its deceiving... for instance if you vote for someone THAT DOES THE SAME THING POLICY WISE AS OBAMA, instead of someone that is a contrast, you are voting for the same government Obama runs... your "sheep like stupidity" is not accomplishing anything except stupidity... I know that George Washington warned of a two party system in his farewell address, he wanted to maintain liberty, he knew that such a system would make people useful sheep to the political class with their "stupidity"...

Ironically some can't see the forest for the trees. Don't you realize I am 100% against Obama, but I am also 100% against a strong federal government that usurps our liberty on a daily basis. You are just against a man, I am against the BS system. So by all means vote out Obama, but don't cry to me when Romney or Newt do relatively the same things as Obama except maybe spend a few billion less a year while still running deficits.

The thing you have to understand about Paul supporters, we can't vote for evil, even if it is a "lesser evil". And Levins question dismisses Paul's current run and doesn't lend to the opportunity that Paul could win. Levin is a big military stateist.

Why must Paul supporters have to change while none of the other supporters are asked the same question? Paul gets the most indipendent support. Now if the establishment rallied around Paul, it would be a landslide victory for Paul.

because people like you won't rally around him, as you deeply desire to have another big government, corporatist, statist placed in the oval office.

He is the one person that follows the constitution and doesnt want more power for himself. He is the only one running that says he will give up executive powers amassed over time through executive orders. He is the only one willing to give the other countries back to the people that live there in which we occupy currently. He is not Jesus because no man is free from sin, but when it comes to following the law, Ron is the one candidate that takes the oaths of office seriously.

Of course he can. He has an energized base, very good support among independents, and will nab a lot of disenfranchised Democrats who don't like Obamas Neo Con view on personal freedoms, bailouts, and foreign policy.

Right. Cause being only 5 points behind obama 1v1 while the media is ignoring him or bashing him at every turn is a "long shot" of winning right? I guess Santorum or Newt with being 10 and 12 points down have the better shot of beating Obama right?
