Then there's the wonky cosmology of Job to enjoy.. Job 38 Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said: 2 “Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge? 3 Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me. 4 “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. 5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? 6 On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone — 7 while the morning stars sang together and all the angels[a] shouted for joy? 8 “Who shut up the sea behind doors when it burst forth from the womb, 9 when I made the clouds its garment and wrapped it in thick darkness, 10 when I fixed limits for it and set its doors and bars in place, 11 when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther; here is where your proud waves halt’? ... 22 “Have you entered the storehouses of the snow or seen the storehouses of the hail, 23 which I reserve for times of trouble, for days of war and battle? 24 What is the way to the place where the lightning is dispersed, or the place where the east winds are scattered over the earth? 25 Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain, and a path for the thunderstorm, 26 to water a land where no one lives, an uninhabited desert, 27 to satisfy a desolate wasteland and make it sprout with grass? 28 Does the rain have a father? Who fathers the drops of dew? 29 From whose womb comes the ice? Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens 30 when the waters become hard as stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen? 31 “Can you bind the chains{b} of the Pleiades? Can you loosen Orion’s belt? 32 Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons[c] or lead out the Bear[d] with its cubs? 33 Do you know the laws of the heavens? Can you set up God’s[e] dominion over the earth? ... Footnotes: a. Job 38:7 Hebrew the sons of God b. Job 38:31 Septuagint; Hebrew beauty c. Job 38:32 Or the morning star in its season d. You must be out of your mind....if you are not with God then you are against Him, and there will be no place on this Earth or anywhere else for that matter for you or anyone who refuse to repent. So like it or not, believe it or not, we are going to take over this world sooner or later and transform it into a place that God will be pleased with.
Wow, sounds lovely. Actually, it sounds a lot like what Islam has been trying to accomplish. And Catholicism (historically) as well, I must add.
Only if you believe a bastardized invention taken from Revelation that was created by Darby in the 19th century. If you understand Hebrew apocalyptic literature, the reclamation of earth is a wild misreading.
We have no plan or desire to kill anyone just that when God consume the elements with fire the side effect of that is if you are not immortal then you are going to die. 2 Peter 3:10 (NKJV) 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Revelation 19:20 (KJV) 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Well, I'm waiting for Ragnarok. Why don't you pull your head out of Yahweh's keister and think about how silly that all sounds? When your redacted book of holy scribblings claims that the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat, do you suppose that just means this planet? Out of the vast cosmos, this particular planet will experience all this crap, and all because of a creation fable? Your Iron Age fairy tale simply doesn't jive with modern knowledge about the cosmos. Not a word of it!
When you see God for what He really is, you won't accept Him as God. He'll just be another invading alien like from the movies. Humans are not so primitive now to worship something simply because it has a technological advantage. And that advantage doesn't exist when it comes to weaponry. Face it, that's why God never came back. He's afraid of us now that we are too intelligent to fall for his bs. You are only comfortable with these beliefs because you have been allowed to create a sensible picture of God in your head. When you really see what He's like, it won't be so comfortable. The real Yahowah will be defeated should he again attempt to tamper with earth. And then you can stick entirely to the Universal All Father in your mind who you have somehow confused with the extra-terrestrial conqueror Yahowah, even though the Bible is very clear that Yahowah is nothing more than a technologically advanced extra-terrestrial who toyed with primitive man for kicks.
LOL.........It’s interesting that you would say that because the Bible says that when Jesus returns two dominant world powers will gather in the valley to fight, but when they see Jesus coming down they will join forces to fight Him. I no doubt believe that they will think Jesus is an alien invading the Earth, but it will be a losing battle because the Bible says He will defeat them without a drop of sweat.
Yes it certainly seemed like an easy victory back when that book was written. Things have changed. And it is clear by Their absence that They no longer wish to fight us. Easy to see why. They don't want one of these bad boys bearing down on Them like the Vengeance of Man: If you look closely, you may be able to make out the face of Yahowah in the cloud. One day it will not be an illusion and His face truly will be ripped to shreds by one of these. We're waiting for Him. I hope I live to see the day.
They who? What are you talking about? I'm talking about two dominant Nations joining forces to fight Jesus but they will lose that battle. In fact it will not even be a true battle because the two armies will not even get a chance to fire a single shot.
Pronouns are only capitalized when they refer to deities, so it should have been obvious in the context who I am referring to: Yahowah and His cronies. Please reread my previous post and respond to it now with greater understanding.
You really think man can defeat the very God who created the atom and everything it is made up of can be defeated by that? You are living in la la land.
"Created the atom." What an absurd claim. Yahowah never even demonstrated any knowledge of atoms. Certainly he lied and declared Himself to naive humans the Creator of the Universe. I think when we read His book, and see that He doesn't even know of a workable value for the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, we can safely conclude He did not create the atom. He would have had great trouble trying to invent the wheel.
Both of you are equally silly, as you are arguing about a mythical war that is a fiction created by very poor scholarship by an untrained preacher named Darby from the 19th century who completely missed the point of Revelation. Study Hebrew apocalyptic literature, and then breath.
Well I'm not certain that the aliens will return. I just know I will be ready for them when/if They do.

Thank you. I've been saying exactly what you've written since I was introduced to Thermodynamics in HS. I'm in total agreement with you.
Durandal Why would my response be a shocker since we engaged in a 34 pg thread precisely on the topic at hand. I'm assuming you were being facetious as usual. Yes, I peeked at your post. You're still silly as ever. Back to ignore you go.
