In a country with 10 millions inhabitants, they got 1 millions illegal migrants. Nearly 1 out of 10 would be a illegal migrants.

In big cities. Bunch of money-less desperate foreigners can cause a lot of chaos and instill a climate of fear ( robbery, rape, smuggling, drug dealing )

Otherwise, i don't think they do that for the sake of being "evil". In politics when the traditional means seem helpless against a situation that feel unfair, (harsh austerity, war ect... ) people resort to groups that can fix their problems fast.

These Marlowe are the people Erdogan wants a mosque for, the ones he sent over to occupy Greece. In the last three months of last year alone, Turkey sent in thirty five thousand illegal migrants. A wall is now being built to keep them out, and the EU has helicopters guarding the islands.

It was 96% Orthodox, but it ain't anymore. It is estimated that there are over one million illegal migrants in a country of ten million.

Funny you should mention that when Aghia Sophia in Istanbul is one of the largest churches in the world and is now a museum, and I believe there was a concert held in Aghia Irene the other day. Christian worship is strictly forbidden in both churches as well as others which have been turned into mosques.

As for a church in Ankara, it was the aboriginal Greeks that wanted one. If I remember correcty the root of Cyprus's problems began with Greek discrimination against it non-Greek population , in total disregard to their wishes attempted to form union with Greece. Ethnic cleansing attempts was made by racist/nationalist s Greeks to form union with Greece. Turkish army rightfully intervened in defence of poorly armed Cypriot Turks and thus saved them from being completely wiped out. Do you Remember the murderous Greek terrorists EOKA ? My point was not that they engage in those things, it was that their "charity" is obviously just for propaganda purposes. That said, I've seen a lot of anecdotal stories on news sites about immigrants being beaten up by Golden Dawn thugs, often having their wallets stolen. I know this is worthless on a anonymous internet forum, but a relative of mine who lives in Greece has talked about how immigrants (including legal ones) are seriously scared for their lives when they're walking the streets - apparently GD thugs actually patrol the streets looking for immigants to harass.
And it's a fact that Golden dawn has infiltrated some Greek police units. Don't just take my word for it, look at all the reports that are available on news websites, blogs etc.

Pagans continued to live in the empire for centuries after Christ, and there were even pagan emperors after Constantine. Christianity did not take hold overnight. It was a gradual transformation. The last pagan schools in Athens didn't close until Justinian, and he came two hundred years after Constantine. As for the temples, they were turned into churches as more and more people became Christian.

And as for getting along with Turkey, well we could have bowed down to the Nazis and not have had WWII. Frankly I see no difference in the lies and policies of Adolph Hitler than with that of Erdogan and Devotoglu

 

A little history here. The Turks in Cyprus were a small minority before the occupying forces began settling Turks from the main land into the Greek homes. Britain had originally promised to give Cyprus to Greece after WWI ended. They reneged, feeling Cyprus was to important for its 'lifeline'. Winston Churchill again promised Cyprus to Greece after WWII, but Greece was in a civil war and it was too risky.

When the President of Cyprus began to make overtures to the Soviet Union it frightened the West, and Kissinger told Greece not to intervene with the invasion and that Turkey could not afford to stay on the island. So we had Turkey, a nation at the time of sixty million people, and with the full power of its Nato force invading an unarmed island of eight hundred thousand people and ethnically cleansing the north of its population. As for the claims by Turkey that all the Turks on the island were going to be ethnically cleansed, it's a bunch of paranoia bull(*)(*)(*)(*). And as for them being persecuted, that's another bunch of paranoia bull(*)(*)(*)(*). Numbers do not lie.

In the past years the Cypriot Turks wanted the Turkish troops to leave and felt they have much more in common with the Greek Cypriots than with the main land Turks and so they have been protesting. Turkey of course gives them the Bull(*)(*)(*)(*) that the army is there to protect them.

 

Golden Dawn does harrass foreigners such as Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Afghans, etc. Some foreigners are in the country legally, but what the news reports are not saying is the rampant crime committed by these migrants. Now I'm not talking about people going hungry and stealing to eat, I'm speaking of foreign criminals who follow the elderly when they go to cash their social security checks, and not only steal from them but kill them as well.

As I mentioned in another post, twenty five years ago Athens was the safest city in Europe. Today there is not an apartment or home that doesn't have a minimum of three bolts on its door, and iron shutters on every window no matter how high up. There are homes outside of Athens with barbed wire as added protection, as well as burglar alarms. People are afraid for their lives.

If the BBC is so concerned about the migrants, then Britain should open its doors and let them in. Instead they and the rest of Europe, have passed laws that any migrant who enters their country will be shipped back to where they originated from.. In other words they are being sent right back to Greece. Greece though can't send them back to Turkey because Turkey won't accept them back even though it had signed an agreement to do so. Also they come without passports, so no one really knows where they came from.

If Turkey was to accept them back it would defeat its purpose since its intent is to further destroy Greece's economy as well as to Islamize Greece in order to restore the Ottoman Empire.

As for WWII, Greece was always close to Britain, never to Germany. Remember, they were allies in WWI? There was no way Britain would allow any part of its 'lifeline' to ally with anyone other than itself. As for me, I always wondered if it was Britain and not Italy that torpedoed the Eli.
