That's a stupid question, even coming from you. Why would I tell you who'll I vote for ,especially before knowing who's on ballot. Besides, it's none of your business anyway, is it, corn?

I really don't know how anyone could blame our first black POTUS for the divisiveness in our country when all he did was pass legislation that was once called Republican. The far right has taken over the GOP and they have gone absolutely nuts over the loss of power. To a black man no less who displays a level of intelligence and calm intensity with such grace and skill that the only thing the GOP can do is act like petulant children. The sad truth is that the GOP can only win locally and these wins are mostly attributed to political wrangling to keep voters from voting, districts from being representative and driving erstwhile voters away because of the stench the right wing media sprays on every part of our lives. You only win when everyone else is so disgusted they do not vote or care. That is hardly a majority or coalition, it is more like a mob taking over a PTA meeting.

Ben Carson. Wasn't that the name on the grave in "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" where all the gold was buried?

Are you saying Ben Carson is milking the public, for monetary gain??? Sure sounds like it, so I'll simply suggest it's the left/liberal people that are being fooled, or you missed his speech at the NBP, which he directed to Obama's followers....

This is not as unusual one might think. In fact it is the rule more often than the exception. The problem is in how we define "Smart". If you find yourself in a room full of Nuclear Physicists you will be in a room full of the most socially stupid people on the planet. More-over they will come up with the mose ridiculously stupid social ideas. They will think that by learning math that somehow educated them in social sciences, political science and philosophy which is absolutely not true.

Physics is complicated .. no doubt. Human nature ? even more so. In many corporations you will see the non technically gifted people rise to the top. There are some people whose gift is politics. They have a gift for appearing competent although in reality the reverse is often true.

The human brain is only so big. Like a computer it only has so much storage space and computing capacity. When you devote a large portion of that capacity to one small area such as Math or Brain Surgery .. there is little left for other things.

:) Republican or Democrat, I look forward to watching people scramble to vote for their favorite liar.

Hopefully I get my wish and they cadidates appear at their conventions covered in sponsorhip labels like race car drivers, lol.

I think you are quite right. I guess I always think that smart people apply the same thinking process to their politics as they do to other matters. I have always thought that truly smart people who are conservatives have a personality disorder which explains how they could support an ideology that has no basis in truth, no track record of success and is thoroughly debunked by the most casual of observers. But then, I feel the same way about religion so what can you say?

    Yes,

Why do you think that them ran Alan Keyes against Obama for Senate.

Why do you think they made Michael Steele head of the RNC in Obama's first term?

Why do you think they've gone out of their way to trot out minorities of various stripes on the stage of the last two Republican National Convention, when the audience in the convention hall is lilly white?

I can't imagine why the GOP would ever nominate a black presidential candidate, because he/she is black.

They might have a great candidate, but being black, won't help the GOP.

White males over 60 without college degrees who attend church once a week will never vote Democratic.

Black people won't vote for Republicans just because they offer one up.

No!....I say people like Ben Carson are a righty media construct, that is simply there to convince Fox News viewers that thery are not racists

There isn't much basis to your response.

I am talking about the serial con men that seem to have been sucking the cash out of the conservative movement for some time.

There was the entire 2012 GOP clown car. More than half the candidates were hardly candidates at all. They were people like Trump, Cain, Palin, West, etc. None of them were serious presidential candidates. They were just right wing media celebrities trying to get lots of exposure so they could get paid more and hang around on Fox News a few years longer.

So many right wing media sits are little more than fundraising opportunies; collecting money for fake causes and syphoning most of it off the top to mysteriously named consultants and back end subcontractors.

I've provided multiple examples of both over the years, and I have every intention of continuing do do so.

I realize that you're disappointed that I don't take Dr, Carson's ridiculous statements at face value and considering them worth debate.

All they were intended to do was get a rise out of folks like you. Nothing more. So there is no reason to take them seriously, at all.

So Keyes and Steele had no political ambitions on their own they had to be "trotted out" ( racist code btw)?

It's not the FOX viewers who need a media construct, it's liberals. Ben Carson is an accomplished man, a well respected man who's earned it. It's a shame that because he's voiced political opinions that don't fit the liberal mold you would suggest he's somehow a token "black man". That's frikkin sick......get a life.

What is wrong with nominating the best candiate no matter skin color of gender? Did you imply the Dems value things like that? You seem to.

Again i would think someones poltical ideals would make them a candidate not the skin color... ( again more racism from you isnt this fun)

Why would Black people vote for a Black person of any party just because if the skin tone? ( again more implied racism from you). How is it Obama won on his own but a Carson, Keyes or West has to be "offered up) ( yet more racism.

What this thread is showing is the true party of Racists.. The D's

Oh, I don't know...maybe because they are all conservatives that just happen to be registered republicans, but it's you that are indicating they are "token's", which is false. I'll admit most blacks are Democrat's, why I don't understand, but the audience at the last two or last 10 RNC's, were not all "lilly white", what a disgusting term.

'Tiz a circus. Hopefully some celebs show up. That always makes for good politics. Then the guys that beat the crap out of the candidate during the primary debates show up wth their 100% support "Yeah! He's our guy. Great choice for the party and for AMERICA!"( is newt no longer with us?)

I can't figure out why he'd want to represent somebody else's people. "I knew a man Bo Jangles and he danced a bit . . ."?

He is a token black man, not for the GOP, but for Fox News viewers. You have inflated respect for the man, so it worked on you.

I'm sorry if I upset you. It's just that you seem to forget names like Bayh, Vilsack, Edwards, Biden, Kucinich, Clinton, Richardson and Dodd who (with the exception of Clinton) all had about as much chance of being president as a gerbil.
You're such a partisan hack you don't even seem to realize that the dirty game of politics is played with zeal by the democrats too but don't let that stop you. I hate for you to lose your raison d'etre because you fail to fixate on the tiny picture.

Nothing is wrong with that, and Ben Carson is not the best candidate to nominate.

Swing voters and Democrats won't vote for him because he's an idiot just like Palin and Bachmann.

They wouldn't vote for him because he's black, that's why Fox News is simply using him so their viewers feel less like racists. Now the average Fox news viewer doesn't have to throw out the old tired thing about "I have this black friend...and he thinks Fox News and righties are terrific". They can stop the imaginary black or gay friend and start quoting Carson the idiot directly

That's just like saying the Democratic party is the party of big oil, or the Democratic party is a bunch of gun nuts. It's really amazing that somebody got the idea to fly that it's the Democrats who are more racist than white folks in the GOP. No one party has the market cornered on racists....but you've been convinced the Democrats are.....man alive, anything is possible with righty media victims
