So you don't have any idea about your proposed candidate?

They tried really hard with a wink and a nod. Please realize that if the big party money had wanted either Condy or Cain as the candidate it would have happened. They were just window dressing in a rather lame attempt to pretend that the Republican party was racially inclusive. Even Powell was smart enough not to be the front black for that kind of silliness.

As attractive as Carson's championing socialized medicine is, realistically, of the above, only Walker has a chance (despite his well-earned reputation of being a divider, not a uniter) of securing the nomination in a Party run by Turdblossom Rove and corporate elites who will back and bankroll a "Re-run" Romney or a Bush Redux. When Turtle McConnell boasted in regard to the TP types, "I think we're going to crush them everywhere!" anyone who was expecting sloppy kisses after their throttling will be disappointed.

And none comes close to centrist Hillary Clinton's 59% approval/38% disapproval - certainly not Landslide Willard.

The GOP nominee will very likely cause the Party's radicals to sneer "RINO!", but the RNC is planning for a national election with around 60% turnout that reflects a much broader popular sentiment, not a mid-term with a record low 36.4% in which a highly-motivated minority can wield power beyond proportion.

The GOP is not going to pander to the TPs in '16 - despite all those Democratic prayers of petition.

I've read everything he has ever written about his ideology. In the primaries, I'll vote for him. In the general election, he'll win in a landslide. He is perhaps the best conservative the Republican Party has had since Ronald Reagan.

I wouldn't want you to leave the forum for any reason. But yes, I do want a CARSON-COULTER for the GOP. That would insure a win for America just like as in 2008, 2012.

Naturally, Democrats and progressives...ironically...want the GOP to nominate the same type of candidate that the Tea Party and Far Right want the GOP to nominate....if for "slightly different reasons".

But the GOP will NOT nominate an African-American for President for atleast 25-30 years....they won't even nominate one for Vice-President for probably 20 years. There's a "certain segment" of their Base (woo'ed by Nixon and Reagan under the "Southern Strategy")...

that they have to wait to die of old age.

Like Alan Keyes....like Herman Cain.....Dr. Carson will be USED by the GOP as a "show candidate"....so they can say "See? See? We're diverse".....before he comes in 4th or 5th in every Primary....then drops out by Super Tuesday.

If needed, they'll drum up another one in 2020 or 2024. Or they'll TALK about one like Tim Scott a lot.....but Scott won't actually run.

After Cain, I think most people (Left and Right) have figured out this hoax by the GOP.....so the next time an African-American runs in the Primaries, he'd be a serious candidate who had already been selected to be the Veep Candidate by the RNC even before the Iowa Caucus. (You'll spot it by how he'd never criticize the Eventual Anointed Nominee for Prez).

But poor Dr. Carson is being used.....he either knows it and is part of the scam....or he's a victim of it.

He may be a brilliant surgeon which is beyond question but a lot of his ideas are just plain ignorant. He doesn't believe in evolution and thinks the solution to the healthcare crisis in this country is to give everyone a health savings account. He appears to Belive in selective gun control depending on whether you live in a city or rural area.

I have not found his position on global warming but one has to assume based on his other ideas that it is pretty silly.

I think a Coulter-Carson ticket might be even more fun.

I will listen to what he has to say, but he just doesn't seem to have the gravitas for the job to me.

Ben Carson will make a fine cabinet member. I would be happy to vote for him for president, but he won't be nominated, and that has nothing to do with his color.

You have to be a puppet these days to make it to the Presidency.

Agree 100%. Certainly JC Watts and Herman Cain learned their lesson the hard way - these right wing powers that be use cooperative right wing blacks for their selfish good only to dump them when their pictures do not appear so rosy.

    I second that notion!

None of this changes what I said. The 2016 Republican presidential nominee WILL be an establishment Republican, and likely one of the ones I mentioned. Right wingers like yourself who hilariously believe in this "rise of conservatism" are deluding yourselves in a big way.

If Ben Carson actually runs, he won't run be because he expects to win the nomination. He will run just to get some particular issues inserted into the campaign.

Carson really needs to stick to brain surgery. If his theory about the constitutionality of Obamacare is correct, then every single other government program is unconstitutional as well. None of them help all people but they help all of the people who need help..:cool::cool:

And Ben, have you heard? Americans like it now. :clapping::clapping::clapping:

Most Americans are not yet sold on nationalized RomneyCare, although most want to keep it and continue to refine it.

The big challenge to the ACA may be Benny "Bones" Carson's alternative, socialized medicine.

Carson's wanting to eliminate "for profit" private insurance appeals to pragmatic Americans, but eliminating the profiteers to create a far cheaper, more efficient, and inclusive system would have to be phased in, incrementally lowering the Medicare eligibility age until all are covered. Economy of scale, the actuarial desirability of maximizing the risk pool, the common sense of cutting out the superfluous middle man, and the empirical data of advanced nations all indicate Carson's approach as the best solution.

The corporate elite that run the GOP would never allow him the presidential nomination, of course, and TPs might again mince about with their photoshopped placards, but now with Benny as an African witch doctor, but the nominative process would be an ideal venue for him to promote his socialized approach.

It's already embraced by practical Americans, and his preaching its superiority could only help further the goal.

Dr. Ben Carson……. is no puppet….. so I guess that would be bad news for him wouldn't it?

    http://glyconutrientsarevital.blogspot.ca/2006/08/dr-ben-carson-glyconutrients.html

If he became President it is highly likely that Dr. Stanislaw Burzunski would be free to use the only treatment available that actually works on certain types of brain cancer.

It is bad news for him. He does not fall in-line with the establishment. He would be the first great Black President.

We all know what will happen. This guy will lose the primaries after being demonized by neocons as a elitist (HE WENT TO COLLEGE! SUCH HORROR!), and the far right sheep will vote exactly as the neocons tell them to, just like they did in 2012 and they were demonizing Ron Paul.

You could be right Daggdag…… the odds are in your favour…… but……. perhaps those friends of mine who believe in the ushering of some sort of a "New Age" might just be onto something???????!

    Daniel 4:17
"This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men."
