Well, no, we have this thing called the Civil Service. It has been around since 1871. You may have heard of it. It was created to keep politics out of our government.

And then there is the problem that Republican rhetoric doesn't match reality. It's the same problem which has vex Republicans with Hilary Clinton. There was no evidence of wrong doing, that's why no one was fired. But, hey, you are a Republican or a self described "conservative" who is anything but conservative. You don't need nor want facts.

Except the FBI director is clearly on record as saying Hilary didn't lie to the FBI. A private server used for government business isn't a "shadow" government...talk about hyperbole...Jesus! Only 3 classified documents out of tens of thousands of documents were found to be classified and even then their classification was questionable. And as has been explained umpteen times, Clinton did what her predecessors did. Her predecessors use private servers for government business. But that doesn't bother Republicans because her predecessors were Republicans...funny how that works.

Unfortunately for you and your Republican fellows, fact and reason still mater.

Well, here is the problem with that; it's not illegal to destroy your personal emails nor were her emails evidence of a crime or evidence. Unfortunately, for Republicans facts matter. The truth matters. Below for your edification:

"In December 2014, after the work-related emails were preserved, Mills told Platte River Networks – which at the time was managing Clinton’s private server – that Clinton “decided she no longer needed access to any of her e-mails older than 60 days.” Mills instructed the PRN employee — who was not identified — “to modify the e-mail retention policy” on Clinton’s server “to reflect this change,” the FBI said.

But the PRN employee mistakenly did not make the retention-policy change and did not delete the old emails until sometime between March 25 and March 31, even though Mills had sent PRN an email on March 9 that mentioned the committee’s request to preserve emails.

The PRN employee who deleted the emails was a recipient of Mills’ message. However, the employee told the FBI that “he had an ‘oh (*)(*)(*)(*)’ moment and sometime between March 25-31, 2015 deleted the Clinton archive mailbox from the PRN server and used BleachBit to delete the exported .PST files he had created on the server containing Clinton’s e-mails.”

Mills and Kendall had a conference call with PRN on March 31, 2015, the last day of the time frame given for when the deletions occurred. The FBI doesn’t know what was said at that meeting. The PRN employee responsible for deleting the emails was advised by his lawyer not to discuss his conversation with Kendall based on attorney-client privilege, the FBI said.

The fact is Republicans have falsely accused Hilary Clinton of everything from simple malfeasance to serial murder over the course of nearly 30 years. They have investigated her to Hell and back and found nothing, not a single iota of evidence to support their many allegations. And unfortunately for Republicans, the United States is not yet the banana republic they would have it become.

In order to convict someone you need evidence and Republicans have none. So they make up "dots" and connect them with conspiracy theories. That's the sad truth of the matter and the faster Republicans admit to it the better off we will all be. Unfortunately for Republicans, truth and reason still matter.

 

Do you have any evidence they weren't? Those emails were reviewed by her lawyers and personal staff. Unfortunately for you and your self described "conservatives" who are anything but conservative evidence and reason still matter. We have a Constitution and it still means something.

I'm an ex-serviceman. I swore an oath to protect the Constitution and you and your friends are a threat to our Constitution whether you can see it or not. But you when you start demanding people be thrown in jail because you don't like them and for no other reason as you and your fellow Republicans have done, that should give you pause. But it doesn't, and that's the scary part.
