It's pretty much guaranteed that a Republican candidate is going to be slandered as racist. The entire party is so characterised for no reason. I can't see it swaying the opinions of voters, since any voter can investigate the claim and see that it's bunk, and those making the claim are Democrat cultists who would vote Democrat regardless.

Whenever a post starts framing itself using the rich versus poor definition of class, the post looses all credibility- it's from a person who blames the conditions of the class they are in on what they perceive as another higher class. Doing that ends the need to be responsibility for their own lives and authorizes them to demand entitlements.

I think of the story where some of the people in an arid climate decide to dig a well, but many in the community object to helping with the work required to do it.. When the well is dug, those who made it happen have water in abundance, and their farms thrive. Soon those who were not willing to help dig come, expecting to get water from the well because the world's water belongs to everybody... They saw entitlement- but they didn't see opportunity, and they didn't contribute to make it happen. They just want the fruits of the labor of those that did, for free. When the people who invested the labor and cost turn them down, their attitude turns to hate and disrespect- anger at that dirty ruling class that thinks they own the water. Well, they don't own the water- but they do own the well. And those that didn't help dig it are indeed entitled- to dig their own well. .

Mr Trump may be crash, rude and crude- but he has built a very large empire with business sense, drive and skill, and you didn't help him. You have? Apparently, not a shovel to dig your own well, nor the will to use one.

Working americans elected a rich elite, not once but so many times it prompted congress to limit presidential terms to 2, while they did not limit their own terms. LOL. Oh, in case one is uneducated, that rich elite was FDR.

So if working class voters can elect trump, they are finally voting for a person who, according to what he says, will do something not done since Reagan. They will elect a man who will stand up for them, unlike this aberration called Hillary who while being a democrat will be like the rest in that party and refuse to represent working and middle class americans. They will finally not vote for a candidate that does not involve the working people cutting their own throats economically as both dems and repubs have done for decades, as they were misdirected and distracted by both parties using emotional driven social issues to divide and conquer in the interests of the rich elites and their open borders free trade scheme.

This election cycle was turned upside down, inside out, simply because we had sanders and trump both taking on the treason of the two parties when it comes to our insane, treasonous economic model, which created so much insecurity and suffering that it literally trumped their emotion driven feelings on social issues. As James, Cueball Caraville once said, "it's the economy stupid". For indeed americans on both sides finally woke up and realized their economic suffering was not created by depressed economic activity as much as it was created by this non traditional economic model which creates the suffering, the insecurity because it is designed to create the greatest income and wealth disparity as possible in the sole interests of maxing out the profits of the top 1/10th of one percent. The robber barons.

The worst thing that could happen to these trump supporters, to the sanders supporters, is that Clinton wins, but the next worst possible thing is that trump wins, and does nothing to reverse open borders free trade globalization, the newest scheme of the elites to create greater income and wealth disparity, in their favor.

Regardless though, if Hillary supporters think what drove this cycle, with sanders and trump is just a fad, a flash in the pan, an aberration, they are far too disconnected from our reality, to be in anyway at all, credible intellects. For what will wake up the working and middle class, is the same thing that woke them up in the FDR era. Economic suffering, hardships, and a loss of hope. And given the hard fact that the current elite driven neoliberal economic model can only create more economic suffering and the loss of security for average americans, more and more people will awaken, and understand the root cause of what is creating the suffering and lack of security. The establishment system, comprised of both parties, academia, MSM might have survived the onslaught of sanders and trump, but it will not survive the next onslaught in 4 years, if Clinton wins. For when she signs TPP, the added suffering, the loss of more jobs, will be the death knell in the treasonous establishment, in the same manner as there was a death knell back when FDR was elected, and the elites were forced to accept reasonable profits and put America first over maxing out their own income and wealth. These great changes away from an elite driven economic model always come when the suffering reaches certain levels. That is what people, left and right should have learned from our own history, and yet for whatever reason they ended up in the corners wearing dunce caps.

What are you talking about? Where are the Marxists and the communists? Where are the people you imagine to exist? Not here in America, and certainly not to be found in DC. Every economic change we have seen since Reagan has been towards vampire neoliberal elite favored capitalism. The worst and most destructive form of capitalism. Having a commons, which most civilizations have had is not communism, and in fact we have reduced the commons since Reagan. Privatized things that should not be privatized.

BTW, Russia is no longer communist. But I got some horrible news for you and others. Put your thinking cap on and tell us what becomes of capitalism once AI and advancing robotics gives us an economy that can only use say 20 percent of its population in providing all goods and services and their distribution? How can capitalism remain viable when the income needed to buy what the robots make is no longer there? Well, once you remove the income obtained by workers, by their labor, from the equation, and robots do not consume, what will happen to a capitalist system? It will implode and self destruct like dominoes falling, a chain reaction. Which is cosmic level irony. The demand to max out profits, first by exploiting the poor for their labor, and then by using robots will implode capitalism, and some form of socialism will have to replace it or society implodes from a lack of essential resources for human survival. Widespread robotics, AI, automation and capitalism cannot exist together, and this is not a Luddite fantasy, but grounded in rationality, logic, reason.

Well, it seems that the sexist, racist, capitalist sociopath is about to win. We’ll certainly hear a good bit of crowing from his supporters, but the expression be careful what you wish for because you may get it comes to mind, and certainly it won’t take long for him to disappoint and appall, and for anti-Trumpites such as myself to be able to say I told you so.

Then give me evidence so this "blind" person can see. Give me one, and only one, example.

No. You have to give me evidence. You've provided none.

    Oh really?

    Do you have evidence.

    Ha! Good one.

Okay, yes, the OP, which expresses my concerns about the polarizing effcect that Mr. Trump's attempts to rationalize his defeat would have had on our society, is alas tragically irrelevant, however I'm reviving this thread and posting another critical thought or two about what I'm terming the new political correctness that favors Trumpites because it's the only one of my anti-Trumpite threads that somehow hasn't been closed yet. So here I go with some negative opining about the right that will probably get this thread promptly closed too:

Yes, the racial bigotry (euphemistically called political incorrectness) of many conservatives and pro-Trump folks is not only divisive for the obvious reason that it generates animosity between whites and people of color, it of course also causes conservatives and Trumpites to have a sizable self-imposed chip on their shoulders and to express quite a bit of polarizing partisan antagonism toward enlightened anti-racists and leftists. Of course rightists don’t forthrightly and with moral courage take full responsibility for the disapprobation that their racial bigotry causes them to come in for, they prefer to defensively accuse progressives of being persecutorily PC, and consequently they develop a bit of a persecution complex and victim mentality that also factors into their hostility toward their opposition. Well, the cure for this factionalized state of affairs certainly isn’t to coddle and cater to their racial bigotry and sexism, or to give credit to and affirm their false sense of being harmless and hapless victims, rather we on the ethically and humanistically enlightened side of the race issue in fact need to renew and redouble our genuinely righteous efforts to make them aware of their benightedness and to disabuse them of the idea that their racially-bigoted point of view is legitimate. In short, we must reject and work to kill the new political correctness that spares conservatives and Trumpites any critical analysis of what it says about their mentality that they could see their way clear to electing a race baiter to the highest office in the land. That is, we must do battle against their dangerous mentality without handicapping ourselves with undeserved self-blaming or the desire to be inoffensive to them. If we allow the xenophobic, racist, Islamophobic, and sexist crowd to turn the tables and successfully inaugurate a new political correctness that validates ignorance and fear, well, then we’ll really be up against it.

Trump, in his own words, stated that he whines and whines and whines and whines until he gets what he wants yet here you are discouraging Trumpism in others. Typical lefty. We'll get to you soon.

I am not surprised at your post. Many on the left view everything through a racial lens which often blinds them from what is right in front of them. Political correctness has been used by the left to demonize and shut down debate. It is a significant way for them to avoid having to be tolerant of viewpoints different from their own.

Can you please provide a specific example of his racism? And don't give me the link that lists 13 supposed incidents. I don't like being blitzed. Give me one at a time and go from there.
