The US ruling class are easily the most dangerous and reckless people on the planet. In the past few decades, they have destroyed numerous countries based largely on lies of one kind or another. Now they are upping the ante by escalating tensions with North Korea because the government there might test a weapon, the same kind of weapon which the US has tested countless times, possesses hundreds of, and has actually used on civilians. So not only are they quite dangerous and reckless, they are also incorrigible hypocrites. And Americans seem just fine with all this, generally speaking. They seem far more concerned with appearing tough than they do with acting intelligently. No doubt that has something to do with the toxic macho culture that infects this country. The worst fear of many Americans is to be perceived as weak. They are terrified of their own frailty and imperfections. Better to cover them up with endless tough guy posturing than to come to terms with them. This national insecurity manifests itself in the insane foreign policy of the US government and needlessly imperils the entire world. Some thought (and I count myself among them) that Trump, despite his fragile ego and his emotional instability, might move in a different direction, one that put "America first", but that dream (or was it just a delusion?) has been irreparably shattered by his bombing of Syria, the fetishizing of the MOAB strike, and his provocations off the coast of North Korea. My recommendation is to build yourself a good bomb shelter if you can afford one and then to practice praying to whatever deity it is you worship because the US ruling class is bringing the world to the brink of ultimate destruction.

Do you think NK's demented little boy should be allowed to develop ballistic nuclear weapons that can reach the U.S.?

Well let's start with my readiness. I live in a condo so no shelter available but.. I don't think I'm in a first strike initial impact zone so I have my " zombie response squad" kits ready for myself and my wife. Not for a nuke but for a potential pandemic :) but hey if the shoe fits.. ( small attempt at humor above) true though

To your post itself. CMON let's peek at your post history. Everything is like this so severe.. So Bad since Hillary didn't get elected. Now this rant? Cmon.. The world doesn't do severe. It plays games. Feints within feints by the ACTUAL players.

You are right and I've posted numerous times to my countries wanton disregard and willingness to cause irreparable harm to weak countries because some Asshat bean counters in the Pentagon or State Dept showed some moron like Trump some pretty graphs.. Uh that includes Obama, both Bushes and Clinton.

But there will be no apocalypse sir, Putin will prob fly to Trumps Florida Resort with Qi from China while they have Merkel making drinks and the queen of England has tea telling them what naughty boys they are

I think they would probably stop developing them if the US government wasn't invading and destroying so many countries for no reason. Obtaining nukes virtually guarantees that will never happen to their own country.

    Pretty much.

The fact that US foreign policy over the last few decades has been a disaster is one of the few points people on both the left and right seem to agree upon.

North Korea hasn't attacked or invaded another country in decades. The US government has destroyed several countries in the past fifteen years, none of whom attacked the USA. It seems pretty clear who is the aggressor here.

The world is held hostage by Political/Religious ideological PhukWittery, & the Global Military Industrial Complex.

This has been true since the first sect of humans worshiped a fart in the wind, & the first improvement to the club & stone was offered.

Active war in the Koreas stopped 64 years ago. The U.S. has not aggressed NK since then, nor does it wish to. I do not believe NK is developing nuclear weapons because of a fear of U.S. aggression.

And you didn't answer my question, so I will ask it once more ...

Do you think NK should be allowed to develop ballistic nuclear weapons that can reach the U.S.? It's a yes or no answer.

Tbf, it's pretty much just a pissing match between NK and the US.

Like, neither side really wants to go to war, and I doubt doing so would be in the interest of the global elite.

I acknowledged this earlier of us but North Korea is run by a real peach eh? It's not a fair parallel to showcase since in NKs case we will openly display our aggression versus for example that now obvious retarded action in Libya.

Also NK continually provokes reactions with their incredibly threatening verbiage and actions versus all of our other sins being driven by more geopolitical forces.

Basically Kim is asking for it and to this point his sheer audacity has saved him. Not for long eh?

But by all means just keep pounding the US is wrong drum it'll get you some likes

And the government keeps growing is size, and scope. Liberties disappear, and the preferred banking/defense contracting insiders are getting insanely rich. An all the while taxes and fees go up on the actual working folks. Aint' that America,..............

As a group I'd counter by saying the global elite many of whom control, benefit or invest in our military complex wouldn't mind a bit

What countries are those? Afghanistan? Libya? Iraq? What else? I seem to recall Afghanistan attacking the USA.

Oh yea it was only the Al-Qaeda who lived there protected by the Taliban that did nothing about them.

Iraq = thank God he's gone. But I suppose you're going to defend someone who gasses his own population

Libya = his own country wanted him gone

Funny that. The group that we started the whole global war on terror over now works for us (after the proper re-branding, of course.

As for Iraq, that's selective outrage. Were you just as upset when we gave saddam targeting info on Iranian troops, knowing he was using chemical weapons on them?

As for Libya, that's just bullshit. I suppose, however, it's as good a reason as any when we want to bomb the crab out of a country and steal its gold.

No on Libya John. We knocked that country back a 150 years. Simply because he wanted to be paid in gold for his oil? Libya. Under Gaddafi? 40% of its college students were women. Libya had.. Past tense the strongest social services in Africa. Now it's a ******n mess. Slave trading included. We did that or rather Hillary did. Same thing.

At the end of the World War II, the mighty Europe was shattered. The non-West world was just coming out of imperialism and poverty. That created power vacuum. We being an industrial giant became the leader of the free world. We were the giant in the land of dwarfs. Well, the rest of the world has grown up quite a bit, since. We are still the mightiest, but not big enough to outweigh the rest of the world.

We played the role of the flag bearer of Human Rights, but not without ulterior motive. We created the so called invisible empire for material gains. We meddled in a lot country's internal affairs, even to the extent of making some kings. We gave respect and dignity to our citizens, and to a lesser extent to Europeans, but we looked down on the others. They did not matter much. We tried to strangle some nations, and some times sided with tyrants and dictators against good countries, even democracies. That has not won us many hearts outside the West.

But the time has come to lower our pride, and face the reality. We came out empty handed from Vietnam and Korea, after spending so much resources and American lives. We forgot to remember that they were fighting for their freedom. Then we spent trillions in middle east. Our resources are not unlimited. Our pride blocks us from understanding other cultures. It is time to stop being the grand daddy of the world. Our role should be that of the big brother of the free world, mainly of Europe.
