FYI: You need to check people's facts before blindly agreeing with them.
I know this goes against the nature of the leftist, but you should at least try.

    The claim:
Out of the last 8 elections, the Democrats won the popular vote 7 times yet the GOP still was able to win the White House 3 times due to the EC.

    Reality:
    2016 GOP win
    2012
    2008
2004 GOP win, GOP popular vote win
    2000 GOP win
    1996
    1992
1988 GOP win, GOP popular vote win

Explain how the claim is correct.

And for the record, of these 8 elections, the Dem candidate won the majority of the popular vote in just 2, same as the GOP.

You should have learned to read with some comprehension before leaving school. I said "the trend".

Illegal aliens are now allowed to vote in some districts and the Democrats, just as they have done in College Park, Maryland, will want to carry that nationwide. That will be "the trend".

Never mind that lax vetting procedures (and a lack of concern) allows illegals to register to vote and make it into the voter rolls.

If the Electoral college goes away then we'd need to make other changes. If no other changes are made, then the major metropolitan areas, (Los Angeles, New York, Chicago) will dictate federal policy.

Interests in "fly-over" states will be ignored. All federal funding will be focused in the largest cities. The elimination of the Electoral College would essentially create a class system.

That's right. If it was based only on the popular vote Politicians would only campaign in the most populous states and ignore the smaller ones. Hillary Clinton made the mistake of ignoring some states and that could have been one of the numerous factors that cost her the election..

Oh yes, it would be a free-for-all for sure. Democrats are already against voter ID so voter security will become ever more casual.

Really? Is that why the GOP holds 2/3rds of the state legislative bodies in the country and a majority of governorships?

It isn't the GOP that appears to be hideously outnumbered in this country.

How does it devalue the voters in CA and overvalue the voters in Kansas? The number of EV's are two State Senators plus all Representatives. CA has far more Representatives than Kansas. It's vote is *not* undervalued!

The Marxist Democrats held the House for 40 years through gerrymandering until Newt Gingrich broke their hold. Since then the people have abandoned the Marxist Democrats. It's why the GOP now holds 2/3rds of the state legislative bodies and the majority of the governorships.

It didn't happen because of gerrymandering. It happened because the Marxist Democrats abandoned the common man.

Calling themselves "Progressive" is the Alinsky method used in the same way "Antifa" call themselves 'Anti Fascist'. They call themselves what they aren't, in an attempt to take the argument away from those who oppose them. Thus you are anti Progress or pro Fascist if you don't follow their lead.

The Stupids have fallen for this and repeat it to each other constantly, despite the game was being exposed for what it is long ago.

California's EV is high because they encourage illegal immigration because they count in the census. Which determines EV's.

Now that it failed this past election, the left has to come up with some other way to make sure Republicans never win again. DACA is one of those ways.

Basically, the coasts would run the country and the fly over states would feel they are not being represented

Not being represented is what lead to the revolution

I have a serious issue with the electoral college. I don't think state by state winner takes all accurately represents the country. I prefer a system in which 'house' electoral votes are awarded by congressional district or proportionally with 'senate' votes going to the winner of the state popular vote.

The current system leaves nearly 50% of the nation's population with a vote that doesn't matter.

United States of America. The federal government getting entirely too big is the only reason anyone sees the electoral college as outdated. I rely on my state government daily to protect its citizens from federal overreach.

An interesting idea. What would the electoral count have been in 2016 under such a system?

Would Trump have won the presidency without the electoral college? Find me a Democrat party member that supports the EC.
    End of discussion.

2008 DEM win, DEM popular vote win
2004 GOP win, GOP popular vote win

I do not subscribe to your Alex Jones conspiracies. I am going to waste more bandwidth trying to explain that the vote fraud is a joke.

This is function of state law, not the electoral college.
    Talk to your legislature.
