    Every once in a while a true Hollywood couple come along
    and do both their Career and Filmdom proud.
    Another example was Jack Lemmon and Felicia Farr.
    Many people only know about Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.
    Also people don't know that Paul Newman's worst movie was his very
    first movie - Silver Chalice - { 1954 }. Newman was so bugged and
    embarrassed about his performance in that film that he took out
    a full Ad in the New York Times saying how sorry he was and that
    it will never happen again.

    I will miss you. Hoping this is temporary.

    Ships that pass in the night, and speak each other in passing,
    Only a signal shown and a distant voice in the darkness;
    So on the ocean of life we pass and speak one another,
    Only a look and a voice, then darkness again and a silence.

    For lunch I had a bowl of corn flakes with honey. I have homemade chicken pot pie in the oven. I also made some cherry turnovers with the left over pie dough. When snow is on the way I get all Caroline Ingles like.

    I lost my bonnet in the last blizzard. I haven't had time to sew a new one.

    In real Life Mr.Everyman { Jimmy Stewart } played the accordion.
    Plus he wore a toupee.In his Early 70's TV Show :
    - The Jimmy Stewart Show - { 1971-72 } he ended episodes
    by breaking out his accordion.
    There will never be another Jimmy Stewart.
    Did not Marry until in his 40's.

    Actually there will never be another Like him.As to what
    in my opinion is Jimmy Stewarts best movie.It is harder to
    determine than superstars Paul Newman and Steve McQueen.
    Maybe ... - The Man Who Knew Too Much - { 1956 } or
    - Rear Window - { 1954 } But then the classic :
    - It's a Wonderful Life - { 1945 } is one of a kind.
    Like - The Spirit of St.Louis - { 1957 }
    His Westerns were all packaged with great characterization and
    dialogue.
    And his Comedies were truly fun.
    One Movie I remember as a Kid and eventually grew-up
    almost loathing was - Harvey - { 1950 } It was very hyped.
    One Movie that gets little notice that was great is :
    - Call Northside 777 - { 1948 }
    I just finished watching a couple weeks ago :
    - The FBI Story - { 1959 }
    He swore he was not gonna have a new battery put in his
    Pacemaker as he did not want to go out like an old codger.
    He did suffer with complications associated with a failed
    ticker.His last words ... Like the Angel of a man he was :
    " I'm going to be with Gloria now "

    I did not know about Powell's involvement, but it does not surprise me.
    I do not ignore people here, but I can understand why some might want to do that.

    Explain yer understanding as to why " some " might want to
    Ignore.
    One of the reasons I don't cotton the Ignore feature is I don't
    understand it.
    What is it that Posters are " Ignoring " on a message board.
    Things that are beyond their capacity or too grown-up to
    comprehend.Or too lazy to run a search.
    It'd be like going to an NFL game and insisting it's too
    professional or rough.Not like the average Pop Warner games
    in Grade school.

    I see "waste of time" in posts threatening to ignore a forum member.
    IMO, even rather tedious exchanges can be interesting. Isn't that just special. ;-)

    I iggy everyone who does any of the following:

    1 - does not have an avatar (you being the only exception) because most spammers don't.

    2 - uses any of the logic fallacies (verbosity, circular pretzel logic, sophistry, emotional arguments, etc.)

    3 - illogical

    4 - uses ad hom attacks

    5 - uses the word "liberal" in any kind of negative context

    6 - uses the word "conservative" in any kind of negative context

    7 - has an offensive avatar

    8 - has an offensive moniker

    etc.

    It's good and notable that yuz have me on Iggy.
    The better to save calories.I mean,you might have to consume
    more calories than usual in order to have the wherewithal to withstand
    the energy and brain food requirement necessary of one me Posts.
    I could make the case that I have virtually never lost a debate while
    at PF.But then if you read me posts you would be left with no other
    conclusion.
    But ... You knew that right. ?

    Imagine Great men of History using some " Ignore " feature.
    Would never have happened.It's not the stuff Great men are made of.
    In fact,Great Men,make doubly sure to listen and respond to their
    most intense critics and naysayers.

    La Vie litteraire { 1888 }
    " The good critic is one who recounts the adventures
    of his soul among masterpieces. "
