America is upset because the memo is a politically driven cherry-picked piece of propaganda trash.

GOP and Dems denounce it as nothing. And Muller Time! keeps chugging on.

Yes, I do believe Republicans are different. Show us where the Republicans used the FBI or the DOJ to try to interfere with a presidential election.

Neither the cherry-picked Republican memo nor the cherry-picked Democratic memo that balances it will have more than negligible effect on the midterms.

Of far greater impact is whether Trump runs and hides from the Trump Justice Department's Republican Special Counsel, or finds the testicular fortitude to appear under oath.

The GOP is already being forced to admit that the FBI had noted the partisan origin* of the dossier that they falsely claimed triggered the investigation.

    * The Steele Dossier was first funded by Trump's GOP opponents, then later, by Democrats.

The Republicans have weaponized the Office of the Presidency and the House Intel Cmt to attack the FBI and DOJ.

Possibly. It was a flop information-wise, but it could still be influential. But that could all change if Trump does anything to block the Dem memo from being released, even if he fails.

And, I think importantly, the dossier was not completed for either of them. Steele didn't complete the memo until he was no longer working for Fusion. He completed it under his own initiative.

In retrospect, it's pretty clear that you took my comments about third party voting personally. It wasn't meant as a diss to you, although you apparently took it that way. I'm guilty of the same thing. I've voted third party most of my adult life, and as I matured I realized it was a meaningless gesture. If you really think both of the major party choices are equally as bad, then by all means continue to vote third party.

By that logic, why vote for anyone at all unless you are in a swing state?

I'm here because I enjoy this site. It is entertainment, I take nothing personal. I didn't give a hoot which one won, Trump or Clinton. That's hard for most to understand, I wanted neither one to become our next president. But one was sure to be in our two party monopoly of a system.

what you did was give me an opportunity to express my feelings and why I voted third party. Nothing personal there. If I start to take things personal or start to get angry, it's time for me to leave this site. At least for a while. There has been times I have learned something new having conversations with other posters. That is great when it happens.

Whether or not a candidate, any candidate has a chance to win or not, if one supports that candidate I think one should vote for that candidate. The same holds true if I think a candidate, be it a third party candidate is the best candidate on the ballot, then vote for the best. In a way it is a pet peeve that so many people will hold their nose and vote for the lesser of two evils or the least worst candidate only because that candidate stands a chance to win.

I would like to see the day when people go to the polls and vote for the best candidate, for the candidate they support and want to win. Not for the one they don't support at all, but is the one they figure is the least worst or the one they least want to lose.

    Good conversation.

When you personally attack, you lose cred on the subject.

If you actually consider that to be a personal attack, you may want to watch your posts. They have truly edged into the realm of attacks.

Hence the fact that you do not have or ever have had credibility, or even a true point. Just attack whatever does not agree with your manifesto.

We did indeed have a good conversation with no name calling and really no partisan hyperbole. We might not agree on everything, but we understand each other. We talked and listened to each other which is way more than what normally happens on this site. Well, that depends on whom one gets into a conversation with.

I agree that the GOP would have made Hillary's life as potus as miserable as possible but she would still have had the power to stymie their war on hardworking Americans as opposed to the BLOTUS's rubber stamping it. Furthermore Hillary would NOT have alienated our foreign allies or attempted to start a nuclear war with NK. So no, I don't agree that her approval ratings would have been anywhere near as abysmal as the BLOTUS for the obvious reason that she would not have been out there getting into petty fights and insulting people on a daily basis.

The only "positive" thing that the BLOTUS has done is energize the left to get out take back America from the GOP sell-outs, crazies and white supremacists. In that regard he has done something Hillary probably could never have accomplished.

So are you DENYING that "the Republicans used the FBI or the DOJ to try to interfere with a presidential election" when it came to her emails?

The area is historically Democratic but has recently tilted Republican. They won back a seat they lost. This has statewide implications nothing else.

Yes, Trump won the district by 28 points yet the GOP managed to lose it by three points. The GOP gap of lack of truth is growing on the electorate.
