So what, the district went back to a local seat the Dems held almost exclusively for years, it affects those citizens ONLY. What the poster forgot to add is
Democrats won one, while the GOP held on to the other three. Republicans control the legislature and the Governor’s Mansion in Missouri.

The truth hurts you, gc17, I know, but the fact of the matter is that a purple area soundly rejected the Trump majority.

Let's hope the primaries produce a Dem and a Pub who are committed to America's civil liberites, the Rule of Law, and an opinion based on fact and analysis.

Except for the 30+ other state seats that the Dems have been winning consistently since your beloved BLOTUS began infesting the Oval office.

Those other 3 races ALL demonstrated a massive swing towards the Dems.

Isn't that a bit unfair? Borrowing 1.5 trillion dollars from your kids and grand kids to have the economy boom and possibly overheat now? If I borrow a million dollars and give it to you so you can say 'omg! I'm having a great time! I will vote for you again!' wouldn't that eventually bite you in the back?

But then again, by that time the DEMs have a president again and they will probably get blamed again.

Given that the nunes memo has imploded from the weight of it's own lies it looks like the answer is a resounding NO!

Looks like 2018 is shaping up to remediate that aberration and bring the nation back into balance again.

It is a no lose situation for America. We have some gridlock now and putting the democrats in power in one or both houses of congress will cement it. Gridlock is good. Last night we saw how badly the swamp behaved when they collaborated.

I have some doubts about portions of the bill.

However, I hope the mainstream Dems lever Pelosi out of her position as Minority Leader.

That would be one of the best moves the dems could make.

Only when Republicans are Presidents. Elect a Democratis President and it miraculously disappears.

The "deep state" (another name for our entrenched government bureaucracy) only looks out for itself. It wants to ensure the constant feeding and growth of government. It leans left and aggressively defends itself against any perceived threat.

Most threats to the deep state come from Republicans who try to be for small government. But Democrats can also be viewed as a threat if they come to Washington as "outsiders" and don't lean far enough to the left.

gc17 is afraid of the real numbers. I thought, though, the Alt Right does not like polls. :)

There is no evidence except talk that the Republicans have any interest in decreasing the size of government!

The DOW is headed south and your beloved BLOTUS's overall approval rating is still negative with a MAJORITY DISAPPROVING of him.

As far as the midterms go this chart sends a clear message.

Correct. That doesn't happen anymore. I like Rand Paul more and more as Washington grows in power and scope.

    From link which was from 12-2017............."Malbin cautions that this data alone isn’t the crystal ball predicting the Democrats can flip the House in 2018." You may take his advice. You guys still have to overcome this, Harvard/Harris poll released Monday reveals that 59 percent of all U.S. voters give Mr. Trump a thumbs up on his prowess with both the economy and job creation;

And 40% of less don't care for Trump. That may well cost the GOP 28 to 35 seats in the House. The Senate should remain Red at 50 ro 51.

That online only pollster has a "C-" minus 538 rating with a hard right bias. It has zero credibility.

Even CNN ( Major Trump hating network out there.) has the Trump economy on the rise with voters. "Trump numbers on the rise with help from strong economy and tax reform"
"A slim majority of voters, 51%, say they approve of how Trump is handling the economy, his highest mark on this question since his inauguration. Seven in 10 American voters, 70%, say the US economy is excellent or good -- the best mark on this question since 2001. Three in four, 75%, have positive views of their own personal financial situations." https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/07/politics/trump-approval-economy-poll-quinnipiac/index.html

40% of voters or less despise Trump, and the Dems will link GOP candidates to Trump this fall.

In case you hadn't noticed the economy is on a long overdue downward swing. If there are layoffs before November your beloved BLOTUS will take 100% of the blame at the ballot box.

    I agree.......
and we Canadians may be exceptionally helpful and influential in your November primaries.......

Could P. M. Justin Trudeau manage to destroy the USA Democratic Party for 2018?
