It seems they are avoiding the controversial issues that popped up this week, issues that caused chaos and mass confusion in the Trump White House. Issues like:

Trump told a group of state governors that they were afraid on the NRA. Later in the week, he told members of Congress that they were petrified of the NRA. In this way, he managed to piss off everyone, including American viewers. His supporters say it is his management style.

His right hand lady, Hope Hicks, told Congress she had lied for Trump. The next day, she quit.

Jared Kushner and Ivanka lost their top secret privileges and they may soon quit. Kushner is in a heap of trouble for conducting personal business in the White House as Trump's senior advisor. His holdings received loans totally around $500 million soon after those business meetings. Kushner's lawyer says there is no connection.

Trump has changed his mind five times during the week on gun-related issues. The NRA leaders held two meetings with him to tell him what his position was. They can do this because they gave Trump's campaign 30 million bucks. Trump quickly forgot his liberal swing on Wednesday.

Trump renewed his year long feud with his chosen A.G., Jeff Sessions, calling him Mr. Magoo. Trump enjoys putting people down. It's his management style.

Seeing the end game coming with Mueller, Trump decided to take America with him. He wants to start a trading war with the world's largest trading partner, the EU, and our loyal friends to the north, Canada. He wants 25% tariff on steel, 10% on aluminum. Trump's tariffs have nothing to do with China, and his tariffs will only hurt our friends. In a trade war, like other wars, everyone loses. A trade war with the EU and Canada would devastate the American economy ... and the European economy and the Canadian economy.

The only winners would be China ... and Russia!

    All this happened last week.

However, my Trump friends want nothing to do with these issues. They wish to discuss guns, teachers with guns, mass shootings, liberals and violence, protecting our 2nd Amendment rights, pro-gun advocates, and so on.

Apparently, Trump supporters are somewhat one-dimensional.

Actually the trade war started with Obama putting a tariff on Chinese solar panels as part of his stimulous bill.

Seems the OP doesn't understand the real impact of China's production, and particularly overproduction, of steel on global markets. China overproduces instead of laying off people. That has happened across their economy and resulted in ghost cities being constructed without citizens to occupy them, as well as warehouses full of goods nobody will buy. The result is bottom barrel pricing at the cost of US producers and jobs.

Do you actually believe the poop that you print?

I remember a story that a fake news writer came up with. He was talking to a retired FBI agent who told the reporter he had recently been to the White House with his four year old grandson. President Trump found out the guy was there and went out to introduce himself to the retired cop. President Trump picked up the guys grandson while he was talking and kissed the four year old on the cheek as he handed him back to his grandfather.
    .
The storyline in the news the next day was "Reliable source from the FBI says Trump was found fondling and kissing four year old boy"

That's the stuff you copy and paste - misleading stories based on a grain of truth.

Does this include questioning the birthplace of a president for years?

So who is this new tariff going to hit?

It's not China, the US already has anti dumping tariffs against Chinese steel and so do other Western nations.

The beauty of the tariffs suggested by President Trump are that they won't have a lot of impact on the US economy or the individuals buying power.

They will eventually end up in stronger economy and a newly invigorated middle class.

Answer this question - why can't California sell a lot of wine in Europe? If you guessed high tariffs, you got it right.

It hits them all, but China produces about half of all steel.

Trump's tariff ideas affect China very little. We get 2% of our steel from China. His tariffs will hurt trade with our friends, Canada and the EU.

The European Union and the United States have the largest bilateral trade and investment relationship and enjoy the most integrated economic relationship in the world.

    • Total US investment in the EU is three times higher than in all of Asia.
    • EU investment in the US is around eight times the amount of EU investment in India and China together.
    • EU and US investments are the real driver of the transatlantic relationship, contributing to growth and jobs on both sides of the Atlantic. It is estimated that a third of the trade across the Atlantic actually consists of intra-company transfers.
    • The transatlantic relationship also defines the shape of the global economy as a whole. Either the EU or the US is the largest trade and investment partner for almost all other countries in the global economy.
    • The EU and the US economies account together for about half the entire world GDP and for nearly a third of world trade flows.
    http://ec.europa.eu/trade/policy/countries-and-regions/countries/united-states/

So, Trump wants a trade war with the EU. He even said so. "If the E.U. wants to further increase their already massive tariffs and barriers on U.S. companies doing business there, we will simply apply a tax on their cars which freely pour into the U.S.," Trump tweeted on Saturday.

"All steel?" Very misleading. We are talking about exports to the U.S., not total steel production.

Trump has often accused China of forcing U.S. steel and aluminum companies to fold by inundating the market with cheaper materials. But Canada is the largest exporter of steel and aluminum to the United States, supplying $7.2 billion of aluminum and $4.3 billion of steel to the United States last year.

I was thinking that it's Bob Mueller who's gravitating towards safe subjects ... Facebook, taxes, investments ... Mueller doesn't seem eager to touch upon anything related to his former FBI allies or FISA.

Do you ever actually deal with the issues raised in an OP? No, you make up your own stories then criticize the OPer for what you conjured up.

Weak, in light of all the evidence, the indictments, the guilty pleas, and former close associates to Trump working with Mueller, really weak.

Trump supporters tried to make an issue of former FBI agents and FISA, but the attempts fell flat. They made no sense.

It's bigger than that and it's bigger than just the US. Now it's time to get other nations on board to hopefully help eliminate Chinese overproduction of materials that get fed to other nations who then turn it into finished goods sold more cheaply on global markets. Chinese overproduction hurts everyone and they do it instead of paying people not to produce. Then they're left with massive amounts of raw materials and goods that then have no buyer, effectively devaluing them. When those products them hit global markets, it drives competing goods downward, costing jobs at home.

Mueller's done nothing to justify a damn reason he was appointed for other than give TDS sufferers a small dose of snake oil tonic and delusional hopes for a cure. As for the bold portion you've been sniffing glue again, it's only just begun.

Weak indeed. 3 liars as witnesses for the prosecution. 1 liar perjuring himself during plea negotiations? Gates to testify agains the only guy who hasn't been caught lying. Then 13 trolls he'll have to convict in absentia. Muellers going to punt ... again. He'll give congress some weak report on possible obstruction and slink away. Manaforts case will fall to some mediocre IRS prosecutor. The IG found Strzoks texts, despite Muellers best efforts to conceal the bias that lead to his "reassignment". McCabe complicit of course. Rosenstein ran interference for months by defying congressional subpoenas. Trump supporters didn't create the FBI issue any more than Assange created the DNC's.
