Police officer hailed a hero for staying calm while suspect yells the N word at least 50 times

Will she be hailed by everyone? Should the police have reacted to silence the suspect? Is this a model of how law enforcement should be?

 

Well, at least the suspect didn't crap on the cop like this woman did = http://www.fox10phoenix.com/home/kentucky-woman-defecated-on-deputy-to-resist-arrest-authorities-say. If the NYC suspect had done that in addition to using the racial slurs I doubt if the cop would have maintained her cool.

 

What a horrible Democrat.

 

Being able to remain professional and handle repeated racial slurs makes someone a hero these days? Really?

She shouldn't be hailed at all. She's doing her job as she was trained. White cops get anti-white slurs yelled at them all the time and ignore it. People try to provoke cops into violence to put it on TV and lawyer up and get payouts.

This isn't even newsworthy, let alone the idea that anyone should selectively slap this woman on the back because she's black.

When you have self control and respect for yourself, you can ignore the rantings of the ignorant. I bet she grew up with great parents in her home that taught her that she doesn't have to react to words. Wish more people were like her.

 

It's hard to be offended by a name if you don't think/are one. At least for rational thinking people.

And as in real life as well as debating, the first one to throw names is usually the loser in many senses of the word. I find it hard to be offended by a loser....

 

I agree, I tell my wife this every time she tries to argue with me and then starts with the personal insults when she knows I am right. Then I go on about my business cause I won yet again.

 

In plenty of other instances the man would probably have been shot; so I guess this cop is a hero for not becoming another civvie killing jackbooted fascist political enforcement officer.
