"Who's gonna pay for Medicare for all?" is either stupid or disingenuous

I think you are the one who is mistaken

The VA is an example of bad but typical government run healthcare

The only ones who go there are folks without any alternatives

    Lol.

All civilizations now and in the past require support of their members.

Do you disagree that we live in a civilization? Or, are you just playing ahere.

You need to educate yourself about Life line .

And before you start in that it started with Obama, that's not true. Not even close. Nor is it true that welfare queens are getting free smart phones yadda yadda. Yeah, you saw one video and now you believe every bit of garbage spewed by Alex Jones, limbaugh, trump tv and jesus h **** christ - Sinclair.

If the RWs really care about welfare abuse, they'd go after UUUge bigly corporations, which trump is protecting and giving them enormous tax breaks that you and I pay for.

Another detail is that for some who get the Life Line benefit, is that they are homeless. Without a phone, they have no way to get a job or any legit "welfare". These people include vets, mentally ill, handicapped, elderly.

Yeah, its Dems who want big govt and yet, its the right that wants laws to control every aspect of your life. Its the right that wants complete control over your most personal and intimate decisions.

WTH is wrong with you RWNJs that you are so eager to throw away control over your life?

    Again, conflating terms.

    Government required support, not civilizations.

No. I am not conflating terms.

We live in a civilization. Regardless of how we make decisions (government) contributions from members of our civilization are required.

Gotta say, I'm surprised to see you write that about trump, his spawn and spawn in law all of whom has built their fortunes 'on [your] money'. And the same of hiss 1% cronies who own him.

I also freely admit that trump has been enormously good at stealing from the working class while getting them to believe he game them a tax cut. And the orange pos has been doing it right in front of us.

Yeah, most people will get a few bucks but then look how he raising their taxes as well as causing them to pay more and more just treading water.

Thankfully, trumpkins are now seeing there's only one place for all the $$$ to come from. Hint: not from Pootin's Puppy's hip pocket.

BTW, never, not in my worst nightmares, did I ever believe that Americans would hand their country over to Pooting. See, I've of the age where we fought our enemies. Back then, we fought against fascism, kkk, nazi's. Now the RWNJs actually embrace them and lie for them. But, we beat them before and we will beat them again. I just hope to see it in my lifetime.

    Satisfy my curiosity, wouldja?

Are you one of those who say taxes are theft while availing themselves of what taxes pay for?

Just read the law and policies, the cap is there. They DO have obligations under Medicare.
Yea and if you are not happy with something, just go and change the law, change the government, change the country.

The single payer type systems of some countries provide a fixed level of service to all and then allow individuals to buy extendedd coverage from private insurance corporations.

Our own Medicare system allows for that, too. A person on Medicare may buy extended coverage from insurance corporations including the companies whose names are recognizable today.

I see that as a reasonable direction for single payer system design, as long as the basic coverage is in some way adequate for those whose income doesn't allow for significant policy costs.

Medicare does not cap the number of residents that can be trained.

Yes you are conflating terms in the context of the original response.

You moved the goal post from "taxes" to support.

Civilization does not require taxes to exist. It does require an economic engine. Government slows the wconomic with the imposition of taxes.

    Yes, you conflated terms. I

Please explain what you are thinking here.

Are you guessing that I'm not wealthy? Is it that simple? Do you think you know my age? Do you know whether I'm a vet?

Do you think you know whether I have healthcare coverage?

I'm still really wondering what's going on in that head of yours.

Tell me who you think I am. Really, I''m curious.

Using "support" is necessary, because throughout history civilizations have taken their required support in labor and or possessions and it doesn't always fall under what may be called taxes.

No, there has never been a civilization that didn't require support of its members. The point here is that civilization is NOT FREE. It has to be paid for.

Government and civilization are not the same thing. However, they both require the support of the members. Stating that fact does not imply they are the same.

As you can see, many people don't distinguish between the terms, and in fact, will refuse to concede that there's a difference. I don't know why this is, but I suspect there's a lot of cognitive dissonance involved.
