Don't end the shut down

13% of our federal government is shut down. I think that is a good start. Reallocate what's left and then return 13% of the federal taxes paid to those who paid federal taxes.

I encourage President Trump to double down. I encourage President Trump to find a way to trim another 13% off of that other 87%.

We may never be able to get our Leviathan back into its constitutional box, but if there was ever a time to try to cut it back down to a less invasive scale, this is it.

Dear President Trump,
Shut it down, and if you leave it up again, be sure that its wounded such that it is no longer a threat.

President Trump is very good at revealing those who cannot distinguish between the message and the messenger. Nothing good comes from disagreeing with people rather than ideas, but the very worst things come from agreeing with people rather than ideas.

In my opinion, those who want a big government are possessed by a benevolence that should be reserved to the parents of small children. They sincerely believe that their best intentions for others are so superior to other people's best intentions for themselves that their best intentions should be imposed upon the others by force of law. They do not consider having their best intentions imposed upon others by force of law to be a usurpation of other people's best intentions for themselves. They consider it the only reasonable alternative to chaos or having their counterpart's best intentions imposed upon them by force, or by mere exposure.
