    Are you referring to the trip to Afghanistan? If you cannot see the hypocrisy of Trump cancelling a government trip and then sending his wife for a vacation on a plane that same day, I don't know what else we can discuss.

    It would be hypocritical if Trump said we couldn't afford to send Nancy on her junket but that is not his stated reason. You really aren't too well informed on this subject are you.

    We elected Trump to stand up to democrats and fight back. Bush did the don't get down in the gutter with them thing and that didn't work out so well. Trump gets right down there with the democrats and beats them at their own game. I love it!

    Trump has taken the food out out hundreds of thousands of people’s mouths but is still entitled to his wife have a holiday, on a Jet with unpaid workers, being over sighted by unpaid air traffic controllers......

    Pretty damn good. He has given some ground and offered a compromise deal which has put the ball in the democrats court and the pressure is on them to start negotiating or look like our obstructionist which they are. They are feeling the pressure.

    Meh. If the shutdown touched the bulk of the bureaucracy it would never have gone on this long.

    If the voting public didn't want a fake, manufactured shutdown they shouldn't have elected an opposed executive and legislature.

    When your line is that your opposition are literally Hitler or Marx there isn't much expectation of compromise. How can there be? Would you compromise with Hitler?

    As it will until democrats and their policy of "resistance". Trump can't negotiate with people who refuse to negotiate but he can put pressure on them to do so which he is currently doing.
