Would you rather that poor women in rural areas with no hospital within 50 miles go back to using back-alley doctors? There are realities here - and the reality is that there are extremely poor women in this country. This law will have absolutely no impact on middle-class or upper class women. That was one of the deciding factors in the original Roe v. Wade decision - abortion laws ONLY apply to poor women. Women of means just take a "vacation" out of any zone with prohibitive abortion laws.
