Because you asked me if I had any questions, and I do.
And Saul is a big part of the NT and I am concerned Saul followers may be following a false teaching.
Since Christians should follow Jesus' words, IMO.

John 3:16, are not Jesus' words?
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

If those were Jesus' words, believes in me, would have been used.

Take another look at my link, the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) is not part of the the Episcopal Church. It is part of the 70,000,000 Anglican Communion, and the Archbishop of ACNA was recently elected head of the Global Anglican Fellowship (GAFCON), a conservative, orthodox group that represents two-thirds of the Anglican Communion. The Episcopal Church is a minority church with a majority complex. There are more Anglicans, almost all conservative, in church in Nigeria on a Sunday than in the US, Canada, and the UK combined.

Face it, by your logic, you advocate forcing your beliefs on others through physical violence, the motivation is irrelevant. Still waiting for you to show where in the Founding Documents participation in public policy issues by the theistic majority is verboten. The Founders would have laughed at that one.

Bunk, I suspect what's going on here is you dismiss any scholar from your personal 'serious' label if they don't a priori reject the supernatural. I can assure you, lots of serious scholars agree with me.

So explain the 'Us' and 'Our'.

Genesis wasn't written by the Israelites, it was Divinely authored, and revealed to Moses.

I thought you said it belongs to Christians and Muslims too?

    Not these Jews. https://jewsforjesus.org/

You have a straw man argument going, I never said the OT referred to the Son of God. In God's continuing revelation, more was revealed to the theocracy of Israel than Abraham knew, in the NT period more was revealed than in the OT, and in heaven we will know more than we do now. Here are some serious scholars listing probable appearances of Jesus Christ in the OT, termed 'Christophany', and predictions of Jesus the Messiah in the OT:

    https://www.gordonconwell.edu/resources/Jesus-in-the-Old-Testament.cfm

As Augustine said, the OT is the NT concealed, and the NT is the OT revealed.

If there is a false teaching and a true teaching, why aren't you following the true teaching?

    Saul's follower's are Jesus' followers.

What is your current belief system, if any?

I prefer the term Bible-believer, Jesus was one of those, as are the majority of the Anglican Communion.

Back to the OP, 6,000 Nigerian Christians killed by Muslims since January, https://www.christianpost.com/news/...ooSGifpY8u4cPTrEhpalG4TEelaFIR-JHE4YW3YOIfNkQ

You are the one who advocates forcing religious beliefs on others through physical violence. You have not come up with a single example of me forcing beliefs (religious or otherwise) on others through physical violence.

I did not claim a theistic majority participating in public policy was verboten. You are just building strawmen so you have something to attack - because you have no legitimate argument.

    I don't think so.
Saul made up his very own doctrine.

I don't think you can find one serious (meaning academically credible and respected) scholar that agrees with your nonsense claim. Even if you did - the vast majority does not - because it is absurd.

"US and Our" refers to the divine pantheon - as described to you in the links provided - the one's you either did not read or understand.

That the Israelite's were not strict monotheists is an established fact. No serious scholar disputes this.

The article is from "Liberty University" = there are few sources that could possibly be more biased towards your perspective than this one. This is a private Evangelical Christian University = if you can not find support for your claim here ... yet still maintain that claim ... you are in a state of complete abject denial akin to denying that water is wet.

    https://digitalcommons.liberty.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1276&context=lts_fac_pubs

    Psalm 82
So then - the author is arguing against the idea that the Israelite religion was Polytheistic - and he does a very good job - and I agree.

What is a given - what is not debated - is that the Israelite religion believed in a divine council. They believed that their God was supreme over this council - these other Gods - and that they were only to worship this God - and not the others.

The idea that the "US- Our" in Genesis refers to some 4 th century Trinity doctrine - a doctrine which was heresy as late as Tertullian in the mid 3rd century - a doctrine which was essentially forced on the Church by Emperor Constantine - is just nonsense.

It is also nonsense with respect to Israelite religious theology. While we can debate "when" it was that the Israelite's/Jews moved towards a more strict monotheistic perspective - and how this happened . No serious scholar claims that the Israelite religion was always strictly monotheistic. References to the Divine Pantheon - are all over the OT (regardless of whether "God" wrote this - or humans did) The "US-OUR" is referring to other Gods.

No idea what "Bible Believer" even means .. first question would be "which Bible" .. second would be "who's interpretation" ? means what to who ?

I am a follower of the teachings of Jesus. Unfortunately - you like many Christians - are not. Jesus did not condone forcing one's religious beliefs on others through physical violence (Law) .. in fact - that was his main teaching - the rock on which the teachings are based.

6000 -Christians killed by Muslims - How many Muslims were killed by Christians during the Iraq war - including women and children ? How many Muslims were killed in Afghanistan - by Christians ?

The number of Palestinian Children killed by Israel is 10 times that of the Israeli Children killed - Yet - you support Israel - despite the rest of the world condemning Israel for war crimes. This is not following the teachings of Jesus in my books.

You are a walking hypocrisy. You hate the teachings of Jesus (sans your belief that calling out his name over and over again will save you)

Upwards of 500,000 people - mostly Muslims but a whole lot of Christians as well - were killed in Syria - a war that Christians created - a war in which Christians - were on the side of Islamist extremists such as Al Qaeda, ISIS and others of the same ilk.

More that 60,000 people - Muslims - have been killed in Yemen over the last 2 years - and there is a massive humanitarian crisis going on. Once again Christians are on the same side their extremist Islamist brethren - Al Qaeda and those of that ilk.

    Someone who believes the Bible.

The ESV is a good one.

    You could fool me.

I'm not either, any more than you are.

For His main message, see John 3:16.

That's all you're going to say about that?

Wow, you're really going to compare the Nigerian genocide with those two events? The US does all it can to minimize civilian deaths, even at the risk of its own servicemen. The jihadists target civilians. Lots of ISIS and AQ were killed in those two places. That's a good thing, right?

So you hate Jews, just like Muslims huh? The only free spot in the Middle East.

Why do you think I care about your screwy opinion?

Syria used to be a nice place, like Lebanon until the Muslim genocide happened.

You're blaming the victims, your Muslim apologist act won't work here.

I have to say your posts are the most convoluted nonsensical garbage I've seen on this forum, and that's saying something.

I've been hearing this stupidity ad nauseum, what do you imagine I'm doing that is physically harming anyone, voting? Having internet discussions?

That isn't an answer, I asked for chapter and verse of this alleged different doctrine.

    And you know that how?

    Everything he wrote. Everything.
Because he had no formal training from anyone. He never met Jesus. Told the likes of Peter and others how they must act. With no authority but his own.
All his letters was of his own making.

Where do you think he got his authority?

Muslims ask for forgiveness from God. Islam is more akin to Judaism than Christianity.

Satan tried to bribe Jesus Christ when he was in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights. He offered him all the kingdoms of the world and make him rich beyond his wildest dreams if he would bow down and worship him. Why did he do this? There would be no point in trying to bribe the creator of the Universe with worldly kingdoms.

Let's be honest. Most Christians would, if they could, support a modern day inquisition. They might take a little nudging from the Jerry Falwell types to articulate the need for a Christian Jihad but with proper leadership......

At the end of the day religious fanatics are fanatics.

Calling a spade a spade is not judging someone. You are no follower of the teachings of Jesus. Judging someone is trying have people punished (through Law) for violating your personal religious beliefs.

And Yes - voting for a law on the basis of religious belief is voting for the use of violence to punish those who violate your beliefs - regardless of how many times you try to deny it.
