On paper, that seems like a trendy pick (as far as number of games). Warriors win 1 & 2, split on the road, and close it out at home. A lot of people think it could be a sweep. Anyway, it is hard to imagine Toronto actually winning the series.
Yeah. After much consideration, I am thinking GSW in 4 or 6. With Toronto having Home Court, if GSW gets the Road split and then go back to Cali and win both and head back to Toronto up 3-1--Then it comes down to whether Toronto has the fight to win Game 5 at home. Then you would get GSW in 6. But, yeah a GSW sweep is very possible. GSW in 5 could happen, but it all comes down to how much fight Toronto would have left (defending Home Court down 3-1).

I actually have hoped that their season would end in each series, since the 1st round, after how they did Dwayne Casey last season. But after hearing Masai say that, last night, I think I will be pulling for them to win now.
Yeah. Raptors are a sentimental favorite among most Casual Fans and also Hard-Core NBA Fans. A lot of people like to see the Title go to someone new.
True. Altho I don't see how the Raptors can win, just yet, at this stage in the playoffs. Only 3 players have been here before and they only play 8 guys. June is the only time in, NBA basketball, where experience matters the most. I think I will not be surprised if the Raptors win tonight then lose 4 straight.
Warriors and Kerr would not accept it, last night, that their Elite Style (est. 2013) simply was not going to work to win that game. I think they should've had a some strategy (3-4 straight plays) to put D.Cousins on the block. While Steph/Klay sit on the 3pt line as 2nd and 3rd options. Even D.Cousins at 80% means Gasol nor Ibaka is going to be able to guard D.Cousins on the block. And even if Cousins was not successful against those two players, those plays would have opened things up for Steph/Klay a little more. Because everytime the ball is passed to Cousins, on the block, then Siakam or Kawhi would have to collapse and give up space to the perimeter players. The Raptors defense prevented Steph from having space near the 3pt line last night, and that was the biggest key.
Game 2 is going to be really interesting for GSW. Seeing how they have the responded in the past, to situations like this, I would expect them to Win. EZ.
Toronto wins Game 3, 123-109 Well so much for my 4-1 prediction, but then I didn't know Thompson would be hurt. Curry is unreal - 47 points, but the next highest scorer for GS was Green with 17, and only 3 players scored in double figures. Toronto had 6 players in double figures. Obviously, GS is hurting without KD and Thompson. Does anyone else here ever want to tell Mark Jackson to just shut the F up? To my mind, that guy is the most noxious sports broadcaster ever!
Yeah. Jackson gets on my nerves. He is just mad that after the Warriors dumped him, that is when they started to win titles. I still am not counting the Warriors out. Obviously, everything is riding on Game 4.
Actually this might not be correct, what you posted here. If Jackson would've stayed, that team still wins those championships but since Jackson's problem was with the minions in the front office ---then he had to be fired. It was nothing to do with coaching ability and progress. Mark Jackson built that team, then Kerr/Gentry were handed the silver spoon. Same with Budenhouzer, handed the silver spoon in Milwaukee, after J.Kidd assembled that current great Bucks' team. Golden State players give Mark Jackson his credit and Bucks players give Kidd his credit, and what the NBA players say does matter the most. Only players are best qualified to identify/figure out which coach is most responsible for a players/teams climbing the ladder toward success.
Yes, same thing with this GS group's first title in 2015. It was a fluke. Kevin Love never played and Kyrie was torching GS until Klay took out his knee. So Lebron was the only one out there, for the last 4 games. Same thing this year. No one in the world thinks GSW can win this with KD & Klay not playing in the games. If Toronto wins, it'll be a fluke championship. No way. I always look forward to his knowledge of the NBA game, in each broadcast. Plus I enjoy his references to behind the scene realities which fans don't really think about. And I love his resume as the guy responsible for Klay and Steph, becoming great, therefore he's earned the right to sit in that analysts' seat. Most importantly, Mark Jackson and SVG and Hubie Brown and Doug Collins are the last analysts left, who refuse to spend the whole broadcast stealthily-attacking darkskin Black players.
I don't know what you mean by that last part. I've just never heard that. I find Mark Jackson to be negative all the time. I think he trashes players who make mistakes. He trashes the officials. If he wasn't trashing somebody, he wouldn't have anything to talk about at all. He must think that that shtick works for him. I suppose it does ... Hell, he's there, isn't he? I just get so tired of it that I watch the game with the volume down.
Oh, of course do not be surprised if it is unheard/unseen by you. Whenever you're already trained, subconsciously, to view darkskin Black players as a lower-status ---thanks to how your were raised or taught during your impressionable years. In those cases, then no, you will not immediately notice what the networks pull off. Just like you might not have noticed how every NBA broadcast is now full of tv commercials featuring a White man and his Black wife. This is not, coincidental. I hear the exact opposite. I hear him often uplifting players re: how hard they worked in off-seasons or especially to come back from injuries. Moreover, he often praises players who had a long journey to get to the NBA. And then, more than any other broadcast-team members, I hear Mark saying "it was a great call" by [insert name of] official, especially when we witness players getting over-emotional about a call.

I have never thought that. Dark skinned black, light skinned black, or white doesn't matter to me. My parents didn't raise me to judge people by their color. My personal favorite player of my lifetime is Clyde Drexler, and I have never even thought about how relatively dark his skin is. Another favorite was Terry Porter. LaMarcus Aldridge comes to mind. The things these men have in common are that they were/are elite players and great people. Some great players that I don't care for all that much are Kobe and James Harden. But my likes and dislikes have nothing at all to do with skin tone. No, I haven't noticed. Are they full of them? Hadn't even noticed. I don't watch every NBA broadcast, and I never watch the commercials. I think what bothers me is that the positive stuff he says about players is contingent on how they are playing at the moment. You don't hear him extolling the virtues of a player right after he misses a shot or commits a turnover. You only hear that from him right after they make a great shot or rack up a lot of points, assists, or rebounds. I don't know, man ... There's just sort of a meanness about him that I don't care for. But that's just me, I guess.
