If US attacked Greenland, it would mean they attacked a NATO nation, which would be ironic, since US is a member as well. So, basically US would be legally required to defend Greenland against its own attack.

The Danish made a deal with the US, that they took over control over Greenland during WWII. So it was worth a shot for the Americans to try and get that place permanently. These are not the same times, and that makes Donald, besides being a racist, being a total idiot as well.

I must correct you since you are wrong. It is not up to Denmark, but up to the residents of Greenland. Denmark wrote this into law (for whatever reason) in 2009.

It is a good question. Greenlanders are Danish only technically, since 90% are Inuits who don't even speak Danish. Why should they care who governs Greenland when it means nothing to them? They would get the money, and continue hunting seals, drinking whiskey and playing with their huskies like they did before.
