Then why are schools churning them out?

Never did I fill any of my Professors in the 70's were pushing their Political views on me. If they had, I would have protested them doing so to the Administration.

And never have I cast my vote on what others have said. I cast my vote based on my own research and views. I cannot be intimidated by Democratic Sociasts, Fascist or Communists of the the Left.

I don't even think the left and Antifa know the true meaning of fascism, because they describe themselves when they talk about it.

Because it's what parents think they should do. Because that is what their generation did.

Unless your child knows what occupation they want to pursue; they should put their kid in Junior College for the first two years and then if they do well, a College, University of Technical School. If their degree requires them to be licensed to get a job after Graduation, their grades or School attended are less important because passing the licensing test is what matters. My grades were B's and I passed the rest on the first try. There were those with A's that failed the test on their first try. Harvard versus a State University makes no difference when it comes to an individual's drive, knowledge, personality and experience.

If everyone can replace an outlet themselves, electricians would be out of work. What do you have against electricians??

P.S. I've met many conservative airheads who don't know what an electrical panel is. ;)

It's really hard, just unscrew some wires and put them back where it says, color coded. After assuring the juice is off. Electricians do far more than replace outlets.
Conservatives dont think socialism is a great idea...advantage? Conservatives.

It’s not the education they fear, it’s the political indoctrination as in “The American Revolution wasn’t fought by idealists in the name of liberty, who risked everything they owned to create a self-governing nation dedicated to the principle of Individual Rights. It was a bunch of evil white rich landowners trying to line their own pockets while at same time enslaving blacks and slaughtering the noble, innocent, peaceful Indians.”

No self respecting man is hiring an electrician to install an outlet anymore than they would hire a plumber to replace a faucet washer.

We are talking about people so 'educated' they could not turn off their own water if a pipe burst in the house!

You are saying everyone must support the universities and everything they represent or totally oppose them

Thats a pretty stark choice to offer thinking people

    The colleges have serious problems

Sticking your head in the sand and pretending all s well is not very smart

It's not surprising since the most dogmatic and poorly educated tend to fear the open discussion of ideas.

Lol...Indeed. People who attend universities are educated. People who listen to faux news are indoctrinated.

And that's what happens in the bubble-wrapped "safe spaces" American college campuses have become? Open discussion?

    Are ya sure about that?

1 Fox News to every 100 leftist lügenpresse outlets, and yet it's conservatives that are indoctrinated?

    Gotcha.

Where did I post fake news? Be specific.

I quoted the original article and even put "My view" in front of my opinion (not news).

In any case, I am off to indoctrinate my students in physical chemistry. I guess I need to figure out how to discuss the issue of reversible isothermal expansion from the conservative viewpoint, to avoid being put on youtube as an example for liberal brainwashing of students. Not sure what the "alternative" facts on the topic are, but I am sure some conservative will be offended either way.

Sounds like today’s colleges, and today’s college students. How many times in the past year have they shut down speakers whose views they oppose? Too many to count? And how many were Progressives? Less than zero?

Who can’t tolerate what? Who are the close-minded dogmatists?

Steady now. Your standing on thin ice.

Hey, why don't you have your kids get educated by Fox News. I'm sure that will get them a job when they write "Education: Fox News University" on their resume.

Faucets don't really have washers anymore. They mostly use a cartridge thingie.

I'd agree with that, but do you think Trump knows how to change an outlet or fix his faucet? I wouldn't bet my life on it.

My kid was weaned on your dreaded Fox News, and she has 'Doctor of Pharmacology' on her resume.

I guess I should've indoctrinated her on CNN. I'm sure an 'Angry Lesbian Dance Theory' degree would've been far more useful.

If the faucet breaks, Trump would just replace the skyscraper.

That's a great field, I work in it myself. I always inject some into my physical chemistry lectures to make it relevant for the premeds.

In any case, seems like you are one who complains on the internet about indoctrination by universities, but then goes on to brag about your kid's doctorate she was awarded at, YES, a UNIVERSITY. Seems like there is a little bit of a disconnect.

I seem to recall Berkeley bursting into flames because that dangerous "alt right" menace, Milo Yiannopoulos, had planned on opening his mouth, and saying words.
