    That guy on TV does resemble an ape. It doesn't necessarily make him inferior and it doesn't make white people hate all blacks. If the guy is that self conscience he should probably find a less public line of work.

    No I would never deny that the BC has it problems and a lot of them are self inflicted, but it is amazing how folks like you try to claim that this country has always been even and that everyone is treated on an equal plan and history shows there is nothing further from the truth.

    I have. Crime rates and incarceration rates track. Black leaders pushed for the Clinton crackdown on crime including crack cocaine because of the damage being done to innocent blacks in their neighborhoods like the current slaughter going on in cities like Chicago.

    But the Democratic Party platform of identity politics is dependent on projecting the injustices of the past onto the present. They have to manufacture racism at every given opportunity. It’s intellectually dishonest, lazy thinking, and disgusting.

    Actually Cosell quit ABC in '84, a year after his "little monkey" comment. Drinking while on the air was Cosell's downfall and after a fight in the broadcasting booth with Al Micheals during the '84 baseball season ABC suspended Cosell from on air broadcasting. Limited to only ABC radio In '84 Cosell quit.

    Well this is kind of a poor understanding of evolution. Nobody says humans evolved from apes humans and apes evolved from a common ancestor.

    Exactly, "black folks succeed everyday"! Black people have the same opportunities to succeed as anyone else. This was not true in 1860, or even in 1960, but it is true today. Be proud of your successes, but take responsibility for your failures too. It is 2019. Nobody is "holding the black man down" anymore except the angry old guard blacks who want to live in the past, and are passing these toxic grudges onto future generations.

    Folks like you, @superbadbrutha, are what is holding us back from becoming a truly post racial nation. Not folks like me.

    Before you blast out a nasty knee-jerk reply to me, think seriously for a minute about what I said. Please.

    Oh it is definitely better than 1860 or 1960, but it is not where it needs to be today.
