    Rainy day off. Started pot of beef stew at 9 am, so it's done now and looks yummy. Still gotta do cornbread and it'll be a meal fit for a king! :hungry:

    We got 5 inches the last rain, creeks and rivers are over the banks. We will be under water in places, not complaining because I never complain about rain.

    Well if you lived in Houston you would.Or many other places like
    Mississippi and the Pearl River that just weeks ago had an historic
    flood.Maybe the 2nd highest ever recorded.

    Again ... what about fluids.You can't wash that grub down with just any
    old thingy.In the least some Bartles & James.Or recent 6 pack of brewski
    purchased.My Mom never as much had a bottle or can of beer.I think she
    was forced when I went with her and my Aunt to Europe and one afternoon
    I wanted to stroll around the city of Lucerne,Switzerland and me Mom
    and Aunt went with the Tour Bus folk to some Alpine restaurant.
    My Aunt couldn't stop talking about how those Tour bus folk kinda
    made her down a glass of beer.My Mom did have wine { usually a blush wine
    with her meals as she got older.Younger she and Pops were smokers and
    Martini drinkers.
    In Lucerne,all business even banks close for lunch.And people with dogs
    are allowed to have their dogs sit alongside them at the table.

    I refer you to the Twilight Zone episode tiled :
    - The Man in the Bottle - { 1960 } an older gentleman and his wife
    own an antique/Curio shop and are near desperate to sell some of their
    wares.A neighbor lady desperate for a dollar or two brings in an old
    wine bottle that looks interesting.The Old Yiddish shopkeeper haggles
    and finally relents and retrieves a dollar from the worn cash register.
    He ends up dropping that old wine bottle and a genie appears and assures
    the old shopkeeper and his wife that he now has 3 wishes.But be very careful
    as to what to wish for.I think that segment may be up on YouTube.

    I think a Bidet is one them fancy woman only like commodes.
    I seen me a few of them while in France.Don't get their use.
    It'd be like having a wine stewart and a Maitre'd at the local
    Texas Roadhouse.

    There are parts of Florida, (at one time in the past years) that did not offer you the choice of sweet tea or unsweet it was always unsweet. When you are a southerner it is always sweet tea.

    I was raised on that saying, “ Be careful what you wish for you may get it.” Sometimes our wishes gives us more than we want. Still waiting for my 6 winning lottery numbers.

    People have gone nuts.

    Found tp @ little store down the street. Went to Walgreens today and they had restocked and two 12 pks left on the shelves. I bought one. I now have a 6 month supply of tp. Don't ask me why.

    They were actually fighting in Sams and Costco over TP. I would be like , “Pardon me take it.” There are only a few things that would make me mad enough to fight and TP is not one of them.

    Toilet paper, or the lack thereof, seems to be the hot topic on social media these days. Here’s my two cents worth . . . old folks (mea culpa) who still subscribe to a daily newspaper may be ahead of the power curve for a change.
