So, you are saying there is no possibility there could be 450,000 deaths from the virus? How do you know? Show your evidence.

What a stupid request. Trump haters must have a combined IQ of ten.

With all due respect the Brits already scaled back their perceived losses from covid by a factor if fifty.

There could be 45 million USA deaths from the Wuhan virus if it mutates toward more virulence.

That is within the set of possibilities, as are 190 million deaths and 290 million deaths.

Until it's over with the bodies stacked and counted anything is possible.

I agree. While Trump does have a big ego, that is something that is almost a prerequisite in some professions, and sought out- for instance in fighter pilots, people who have to make tough calls on their feet right now. General George Patton had such an ego. His troops loved him; the Germans feared him, and politicians loathed him. That's a lot like the current situation, if you think about it.

Yes I am saying there is no chance we have 450,000 dead from C19 in America.

It's the side making the claim responsibility to provide the evidence. Where is that number pulled from?

I can tell you, it's scary so he used it. He used the huge amount of death and suffering of WWII as a "scary" reference point. In other words, it has zero math attached, all hype to try and drive home "Trump bad!"

    But here you go.....

Latest predictions from the Govt, worst case is less than half of that stupid prediction your buddy made. Worst case.....so assuming it comes in between the two number provided that is 150,000 deaths. 33% correct , 67% wrong in other words vs the prediction of 450,000.

Flu kills between 12,000 and 61,000 each year for comparison.

Your correct. I mean it the C19 just kills 85% of us (well ya'll cause I don't wanna die!) then that is 280,000,000 dead!

All the C17+2 projection and modeling numbers are like Plato's ideal forms, none of them are proven yet. It's all yet to be seen.

We do not currently know and may never know how many people have contracted covid-19 this makes mortality rates largely a guess.

Yeah, it makes a lot of sense for one state to shelter at home and the neighboring state keep business open as usual. A lot more could have been accomplished if we had a president who would have taken charge at the beginning. It does appear as if his staff has him attempting to look presidential these last few days but as usual he comes up way short.

    Are you kidding?

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/mar/28/trump-coronavirus-misleading-claims

An Arizona man died because he believed Trump's claim about a malaria drug:

    https://www.factcheck.org/2020/03/video-trumps-exaggerated-covid-19-drug-claims/

    https://www.chicagotribune.com/coro...0200328-jdzfeed5xngphefgypou6spyra-story.html

There's a lot more where those came from. Google the phrase 'trump's misleading statements about the virus' and read for ypurself.

Sheesh, you'd have to be living under a rock or in a remove cave somewhere to not have heard any of his horse pucky on COVID-19.

    Flap that, why dontcha?

Because we citizens are smart enough to see through the Democrat/MSM faux attempts to blame him and make his job harder than it already is?

Once again the idea that the federal government takes over in an emergency....false. It is the GOVERNORS who have frontline responsibility followed by county and city. THEY know the hospitals, the doctors, the first responders, where their emergency supplies are located and how to allocate them, they are incharge of the police and national guard. The federal government is there to support them in THEIR jobs and allocated certain resources as necessary. It is there to direct the NATIONAL response to a vaccine and medical treatments and a national industrial response for manufacturing.

I'd like you to provide any document that says the Governors of each state assumes the responsibility for their own state in cases of NATIONAL EMERGENCIES. Wake up from what ever drug you've been taking.

Absolutely crushing it. We are #1 in cases. The world leader. Great job, crushing it.

Feb. 26: “So we’re at the low level. As they get better, we take them off the list, so that we’re going to be pretty soon at only five people. And we could be at just one or two people over the next short period of time. So we’ve had very good luck.” — Trump at a White House briefing.

Feb. 26: “And again, when you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done.” — Trump at a press conference.

Feb. 26: “I think every aspect of our society should be prepared. I don’t think it’s going to come to that, especially with the fact that we’re going down, not up. We’re going very substantially down, not up.” — Trump at a press conference, when asked if “U.S. schools should be preparing for a coronavirus spreading.”

Feb. 27: “It’s going to disappear. One day — it’s like a miracle — it will disappear.” — Trump at a White House meeting with African American leaders.

    Great job. We are #1.

March 10: “And we’re prepared, and we’re doing a great job with it. And it will go away. Just stay calm. It will go away.” — Trump after meeting with Republican senators.

A day later, on March 11, the WHO declared the global outbreak a pandemic.

With all due respect that is a nonsense assertion. The governor's know there states better than Trump does. That's why the Constitution was set up to allow the decisions to be made at the lowest possible level of government. We've 77 counties in this state less than a third of them have even a single covid 19 case. Those with a case are under lock down those without are not. This leftist idea that everything has to be 1 size fits all is ridiculous.

What's the going rate right now 1 per 100,000? Get back to me when we are number 1 per capita and our death rate is anywhere close to China"s

You just proved what an idiot G.W. was in 2001. Just think, he didn't have to do squat when 9-11 happened. He could have left it up to the Governor of New York but he didn't

Based on 15 cases going to ZERO just a few weeks ago, We could be death leaders in another few weeks.

See if you can grasp this concept, people are different, they have different habits, and different levels of responsibility. People in cities will react differently than people in rural areas. Democrats will react differently than Republicans. Old people will react differently than young people. Some people will follow the recommendations and some people will not. It is not practical to have a single national response to a situation that is variable from place to place. Some places will require more intervention than others. It only makes sense to delegate control and decision making to local governments who have a better grasp on the real needs and requirements of the individual areas. Of course this is all just common sense, so I would not expect liberal's to be able to understand these concepts.
