Here we see further deterioration of the recognition and significance of the Federal Government, because of trump. This is after the Governors of the NE States realized they needed to formulate their own plan and ignore trump.

GOP governor, fearing White House interference, hides virus tests
    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...-house-interference-hides-virus-tests.571968/

They and other States are now hiding information because they don't trust trump.

As I said, it is already happening. Trump and trumpers have destroyed the country. It is already done. We just need to wait for it to play out.

MAGA...? Talk about the ultimate irony.

The election of trump was a declaration of war on anyone who doesn't support him. You can't declare war on over half the country and expect to have a country left. Trump sold the idea that trumpers and only trumpers are America and everyone else is an enemy. Well, now we are seeing how pathetically wrong they were. They see themselves as unrepresented warriors who have been suppressed. Well, yeah, the suppression of trump and people like him and his are what America has always been about. We have fought wars to defeat people like trump.

Conveniently forgetting the “basket of deplorables” directed towards supporters of Trump from Hillary? Or people that “cling to their guns and bibles” from Obama?

Point is, that’s politics. They all do it. No one is special. Trump supporters are no different from Hillary, Obama, Bush, Bill, etc supporters. The high horse you’re trying to ride on doesn’t exist.

I wouldn't disagree about the point that if a state wants to secede, it should allow areas within itself, which don't want to secede, to remain, where this is a practical possibility.

Basically, the whole issue of secession should be approached with a spirit of goodwill and generosity on both sides. Each side should make it as easy as possible on those residents who find themselves a minority in a seceding state. Boundaries should not be seen as rigid and unchangeable, and the smallest unit possible should be used to determine which area stays and which remains -- get the granularity down as fine as possible.

Beyond that, each side should grant citizenship rights to the inhabitants of the other ... so, for example, if you are a liberal in a seceding Red State, you shouldn't feel you have to leave to retain your citizenship in a 'Blue America'.

And for those who do want to leave, a national (or bi-national) database of homes should be set up, so that there can be house-swaps, with as little money involved as possible.

Furthermore, a seceding state should pledge not the change any of its laws for some specified period of time.

Certainly, seceding Red States have every interest in offering the most generous possible terms to our previous fellow countrymen.

The idea is to separate with a minimum of rancour and bitterness, since it will be in the interests of the new entities to co operate closely in trade and defense.

And the idea of a joint military should be explored. Such an entity would have a strong pressure on it to be defensive only -- since defending the two new nations is in both of their interests -- and foreign adventures would be much less like to be undertaken.

Any state can leave the union in whatever manner it wishes. There is no prohibition on a state leaving. It is a reserved power.

So secession wasn't ok in the 19th century, but it's ok now? Hypocrisy?

Click bait, click bait, click bait, damn it. The idea of California leaving the union gets many people excited, then it never happens, oh the sorrow.

Good Riddance, let um secede and they can call it the country of Mexifornia. We'll allow all US Citizens who swear allegiance to the United States to leave and then build a 300' high wall around it to prevent all the Mexifornians that try to sneak into the United States. The Mexifornians are going to have to pay for that Wall in order for this to happen though.
