We socialize the losses and privatize the gains.

The U.S. is (supposed to be) a representative republic. Voting is (supposed to be) the control. Voters not doing their job is poor management.
The more important point is that their could be ways of operating essential economic sectors without it being by corrupt profiteers or corrupt politicians.

I can't find any fault with that logic.

I would prefer, instead of nationalizing them, that they be expected to take on their own risk and simply be allowed to fail... Bailouts should come in the form of repaying the victims of bank foreclosures.

But despite my opposition to nationalizing anything, placing the banking cartels under the authority of the US Treasury might not be the worst idea ever...

the right always says this after their mega bailouts by republicans, but it always happens again

sadly the left goes along with it for carrots for the American people, cause without the Republican votes, they can not get assistance for the American people

dems need to fight the republicans harder, let Republicans tell the American people they won't help them with the mega goodies for the rich and the corps

You're so like a reactionary/conservative who does not see any grey areas. Everything to you is black or white. It is that sort of thinking that gave us the Vietnam and Iraq wars. I am sure you foolishly supported them. Keep up the bad work!

Did you miss the class in school where JFK and LBJ were Democrats?

Lending money involves risk. Banks lend money. They take risks.

The dems arent doing any more for the poor than the reps are. The reps arent doing any more for the rich and the dems are.

Are those on the right side of fiscal policy not allowed to disagree with how those on the right are handling it? It's not about a republican in office it about the person in office doing the right thing. That goes for all branches.

That is beside the point. The Coca-Cola Republicans and the Pepsi-Cola Democrats are indistinguishable, especially when it comes to foreign policy. JFK & LBJ were not leftists despite the rhetoric; they were counterinsurgents. If they had been true leftists they would have sided with Cuba and North Vietnam. If Nixon had won in 1960 instead of JFK things would not have turned out too differently in Vietnam.

Dems are fighting harder than ever. They just end up helping the other side. Americans need to stop fighting each other and unite against this powerful government we allowed to fester.
