The odds on that are so rare that it's an incredible outlier. Anyone living their lives afraid of outliers is a coward or a fool.

Where where you railing about grandparents when 5 Democratic Governors were forcing contagious people into Nursing homes and causing massive hot spots in their states and were responsible for 1/2 the deaths?

My town is requiring all businesses post a 4 page notice on their doors and require masks or face a $1000.00 fine. Its super fun.

The odds of using a gun to defend your home are equally remote, yet you will set your hair on fire and scream bloody murder if anyone should suggest that it’s a waste of money to buy a gun for home defense.

but was Trump change of regulations that caused this

"The Trump Administration’s Deregulation of Nursing Homes Leaves Seniors and Disabled at Higher Risk for COVID-19"

    https://www.americanprogress.org/is...leaves-seniors-disabled-higher-risk-covid-19/

"Why are nursing homes being hit so hard by the outbreak? One reason is that they are a target of the Trump administration’s aggressive deregulation agenda."

"In response, the nursing home lobby again advocated for less oversight, and in July 2019, the Trump administration proposed new rules relaxing the requirements tied to infection control. It suggested that consultants could be used, instead of requiring infection specialists to be employed at the site, at minimum, on a part-time basis. This meant that there was no longer a requirement for a full-time, hands-on expert in infection contamination on-site."

90% of Americans will get the virus... so it's not if, but when

the goal is to keep the sick staggering in to the medical system rather then all at once and overloading the medical system

if most follow social distancing, we slow the spread....

if only a few violate it, the case are spread out

if everyone violates it at the same time, we get overloaded with cases

    it's complex

I think those odds just changed. Your analogy is crap though. Owning a gun is a right as an American and for good reason as we learned over the last few months.

Also, good luck with any new gun legislation over the next 4 years.

Is the goal not to spread the virus?

lol... you don't know me very well. I'd feel sorry for them. But, the odds on me spending more than a few hours in a jail cell are tiny. I would do it for the point.

If you are going to share straight up propaganda, please don't bother. Why did only 5 Governors do it? All Democrats? Why did the other 45 not do it?

Your ridiculous brainwashed propaganda source post deserves to be mocked.

it has, first Trump released the shutdown guidelines, then extended the shutdown, then issued his reopen guidelines, many did not follow them

but I agree, the real goal has always been to keep the number of cases low enough that the medical system can handle it, not too low and not too high.... keep the cases just right in the goldilocks zone

yep, driving is a privilege that can be revoked

owning a gun is a right, yet one many on the right treat like a privilege and think can be revoked from ex-felons, same with voting rights

when we treat rights like privileges, we no longer have rights

And I am wondering if there have been pandemics in the past that started that custom

The last few months? The only thing to kill in large numbers the last few months is the rona and you can’t shoot it.

    Dam....
We're pretty lax about it around here I have a sign posted on my front door and I keep a couple masks in my drawer. About half my customers come in wearing one and then ask if they can take it off and we keep good distance no handshakes. If they want it on, I put mine on. My walk-in traffic was never heavy (10 a week) but it is down about 50% if I was to guess.

More phone/email contact, more docusign, and when I need to pick up a check or something a few will tape an envelope to their door, no big deal, it easy to accommodate them if they are within a few miles.

Thank you. I appreciate it. I want to stay healthy so I can do the job of helping take care of some very vulnerable people but I also need to shop etc.

You couldn't answer the questions, because those answers nuke the propaganda you are spewing.
