How about culling out suicides from "killings".
How about breaking down gun crimes by race.
How many of these accidental discharges were by people legally allowed to own guns.
Statistics are only as good as the point the writer is trying to prove.

The AUTHOR of the DEBUNKED DGU bovine excrement "study" throwing a HISSYFIT that anyone dared to EXPOSE his abysmally BAD science?

    Seriously?

    That is so SAD!

But thanks for establishing that Confirmation Bias will ALWAYS override FACTS for those who are NOT willing to embrace the Scientific Method.

No, you need to watch it again. 14 second mark, the gun is pointing straight ahead in the same direction as he was play shooting

LOL You really need to read through the posts again starting from the OP, as the purpose of this thread has gone way over your head!

Which is why I am a fan of the original 2nd amendment without the extra comma added. Do a study of every home lived in by a former member of the military or state national guard and see how often they have "accidents" in the house or have their weapons stolen. Then compare that to the idiots who don't get training, serious training. Want to bet on the percentage of usable guns that are stolen from ex/current military, farmers and then the rest?
We're at over 600,000 guns stolen in the US per year. I grew up on a farm and our guns were stolen when we'd all moved away except my mother. She was so upset until I laughed, took her into another room where the bolts and firing pins for the two shotguns, a 22 and a pistol were and then another room where the ammo still was. "But they could make new ones!" Not likely ma as there'd be a big risk they'd blow up in their faces. She felt better.
Most responsible gun owners do that or put their weapons in heavy, locked cabinets. It's the idiots that sleep with them and in general have no clue how to use them properly let alone store them safely.

We could make a start by enforcing the gun laws on the books try reinstating bail for murderers and serial rapists instead throwing them back on the street like they are in New York and LA and other big blue cities. Try tacking another 5 to 10 years on to the sentence for people using a gun in a crime.

10,000 12000 gun homicides every year in a population of around 330 million people. Far left loons whose elections were bank rolled by the increasingly villainous George Soros are doing everything they can to increase those numbers by doing away with bail for all crimes including rape and murder and simply throwing the criminals back on the streets with predictable results.

That’s correct and that’s what the instructor praises him for. The instructor clearly stated he’s glad he WASN’T pointing at the ground for the reload. Watch it again and pay attention to what is said.

Pointing a loaded gun in the direction of other people is not correct. It was just fluke he wasn't pointing the gun in the direction of the other trainees. The trainer says "it was right here, at least you were pointing at the ground" and the trainer was pointing at the ground when he said those words

He never pointed in the direction of other people. The yellow firing line he’s standing on marks what is called the “180”. If he had ever moved the muzzle of the firearm one degree behind that line he would likely be thrown off the range. It is not a fluke he wasn’t pointing at the other trainees. If he had at any point done so he would have been sent home. Pointing a firearm at anyone in training is NEVER allowed.

In the video when the gun fires it is nearly parallel to the ground and pointed downrange at the target. This is correct and pointing straight down is incorrect—as the instructor points out doing so would be dangerous.

Why are you denying the obvious? The trainer says "it was right here, at least you were pointing at the ground". He was not pointing the gun at the ground when it went off, it was pointed a few degrees in an upward directory. This is a training program, him loading a gun like that when out in public is not the way to load a gun

I have 13 firearms now, some I use frequently and some a few times a year "Multiple Calibers". I have literally fired multiple guns at least ten thousand times "Reloads" and have NEVER had a weapon "My weapons" go off without pulling a trigger and this comes from someone BOUNCING them around in the cab of a truck on dirt roads 100 days a year.. Anyone claiming a factory firearm has gone off by sitting in a holster, gun safe or sitting on a head board is simply HIGH or uneducated..

NOW, if the weapon has been modified with say a competition trigger and incorrectly adjusted trigger weight to crisp with a very short travel then maybe, just maybe, but I doubt it without some human involvement! But that would be owners fault as most factory weapons have very heavy trigger pulls, Eight pounds for rifles and a tad under six pounds auto handguns, with revolvers with hammer in rest/safety position impossible..

My hunting rifle trigger is set at 3.6 pounds, with a cunny hair of travel and I purposely drop it from three feet on to the butt and it will not drop the pin!! But you lay your finger across the trigger and and pull it you would THINK it would! This is the same rifle I hunt with and sits in a holder between the front seats and gets kicked around, bounced around and banged around and after a thousand miles of dirt over the years has NEVER dry fired..

The only weapon I leave with a dry hole is a revolver because unlike the auto it can roll a round and fire it with a trigger pull. On the other hand the time it takes to load a round in to say a 9MM could be the defining moment you fail to beat your attackers advance.. Again, how many reports are there of law enforcement or military claiming the WEAPON just went off..

For me, just show that ghetto and felons can be disarmed and kept disarmed, until then no need for any discussion about law abiding citizens and their legal registered firearms..

So, no responsibility on the Parents for not having the gun in a safe place? Interesting.

So , no responsibility on the Husband for cleaning a weapon while it being pointed at someone? So let me guess, its the gun's fault? Hmmm, also very interesting
If you are gonna make a 2nd ammendment hate thread, you might want to apply the concept of LOGIC

    Thanks
